  To get the contacts, you will need to export to a vcard file.   It's an interesting question you asked who had me try a few options. Just to clarify, you want to be able to send one group SMS message where others can not see the contact information of someone else, and responses are not sent to everyone in the group. I tried a few different ways, so I'll share what I found.

  To send a message to group with these settings, you disable iMessage and group messaging, but you will have to leave the MMS messaging on. When I sent a group text to my brothers and sisters, she didn't until I switched back on MMS. In my text, I asked if they could see all the coordinates and both answers came back that they couldn't. In addition, their responses are returned to me.

  Insofar as an app that you can use instead, I searched on the App Store by using the words "group message" and a number of pieces came. For those, you need to test them individually to find the right one for you.

• How to export Contact using the vCard and SMS to the non-iPhone user

  so I just tried to share a contact, using Messages, from another phone (non-iPhone) and I expect Messages to send a vCard using SMS to other mobile phone, but instead the iPhone said: "failed to send Message."  Text messages normal sending very well (with the Green bubbles).

  I followed the 7 steps listed at this link: http://www.iphoneheat.com/2013/01/how-to-send-contact-card-vcard-from-iphone-ipa d-ipod-touch /, but it did not work.

  1. Launch the Contacts application from the home screen of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
  2. Search for the contact you want to share and tap the name;
  3. When you contact details, scroll to the bottom and press the button Share contact ;
  4. Choose the option Message ;
  5. The vCard contact will be automatically inserted into an empty message.
  6. Now simply select the recipient you want to send the contact card to the field to the message.
  7. Click on send. That's all!

  If anyone knows how it's supposed to be done with the latest iOS - to send contact information to another phone (non-iphone) by SMS?

  Well, I figured that out, and it relates to this discussion of the Apple forum:

  According to my cellular provider (Fido, Canada), the decision to send vCards and picture Messages to cellular data radio was conducted by mobile phone manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, etc.), but it's probably a standard now that cellular providers design their networks (although I could believe the reverse had happened).

  Fortunately, even if I use the connection 'data' Fido that they don't consider it as data, but as the e-mail... which is good for my boyfriend who is also using Fido, because is not a data plan but can now receive vCards (and picture messages) via MMS when it allows its cellular data (radio).

  But the real question is why was decided to send a business card on the data network and not on the SMS network, as it is just text (such as a comma-delimited file).  And if the vCard happened to contain non-text byte then why they wouldn't just UUENCODE (or MIME) the vCard if there no text fields so that it could be sent via SMS?

  If anyone knows why Apple does not send vCards via SMS (or why LG/Samsung either)?

  Why I care, well of curiosity, of course, but also because if we could do more over the cellular transmitter voice/sms, so maybe we could turn cellular data more often, which would save on energy consumption (I guess), reduce the heat our phones get and to reduce our exposure to the EM radiation have some of the disabled (c.f. Bluetooth WiFi wireless transmitters (, data transmitters and cell phones cellular voice/sms).

  P.S. I also understood why so many of my friends use Whatsapp and WiFi to send text messages instead of using the network of suppliers of cells, the standard e-mail application in Android (and iOS when you message for a non-Apple device) will not send messages (SMS/MMS) via WiFi.

  After searching the web and a track session & error I found the solution myself. This is a sqlite database in the following path: /data/local/storage/persistent/chrome/idb/226660312ssm.sqlite
  so I pushed thesqlite database in this directory with the AfDB in the course to the flame.
  the exact name of the database may differ. then take a look at the directory.

• My Alcatel One Touch fire does not send more than 34 characters per SMS to another person, but write a message to myself works. How can this be repaired?

  I tried this twice, the only two the first 34 characters were sent. For an SMS 160 characters are a normal size for a SMS.
  Noone has posted this question again (at least I have not found anything), if this can be a problem with my phone or is it really a matter of Firefox OS?

  I searched our database for bugzilla for similar problems of SMS and no pop up. If you have access to another sim with that you could test we would love to hear the results.

  I contacted customer service and my problem was solved easily

  (1) completely to close the Skype application. To do this, right click on the Skype icon in
  the tray at the bottom of the screen. Select leave.
  (2) on your desktop, click on the button 'start '. It's the small round
  button in the lower left corner of your screen that has a Windows flag on it.
  (3) type Run, in the field "search programs and files", and then click Run.
  (4) in the box, type "%AppData%" and click the OK"" button.
  (5) a window appears, find "Skype" folder and open it.
  (6) look for the file "shared.xml" (this file is named as)
  'shared' with an .xml document extension) and delete it.
  (7) always on the same folder, find your Skype username folder and open it.
  (8) look for the "config.xml" file (this file is named as)
  'config' with an .xml document extension).
  (9) remove the file "config.xml".

  (10) restart Skype.

  I have an iPhone 5 s, update to the latest version 9. Any iOS.

  I never had this problem before, but I allowed my iPhone to die completely (nothing new) and when I put it on the charger to the phone turns on.

  * POOF *.

  NO network, "the search...". "I can't make calls, I can't receive calls and I can not send SMS. I can only use iMessage.

  ~ Wifi works but not network.

  My question is how I receive network yet? I tried the iTunes thing, I tried to call my carrier. The last thing I want to do is go out there and try to get the problem solved. So is there anything else? When I called "VERIZON" they said they were going to check on it, but it can take up to 4 days-_ -

  If you could do this using AT commands, it is the same in LabVIEW so. Use the VISA, write the commands using the functions of writing to the modem and play the same thing using reading orders. You can even find examples for this if you search the forum properly.

  Hello

  A web search suggests that sms system analyzer.exe is System Mechanic. The error message means that System Mechanic is defective (on its own) is to have a conflict with another program.

  If (Iolo) System Mechanic is installed I uninstall it and leave it uninstalled - it's useless.

  If you use and trust System Mechanic you can uninstall/reinstall. That might solve the problem.

• Problem with email and SMS, after 1.3.5

  First, I would like to say that I like the Pre. Up to this point, he's been perfect - I have a replacement, but it's because I gave up (bad angle, bad location, broken screen). However, following the 1.3.5 update I have now a problem quite important with email and sms - I can receive messages and email, but not send them.

  I have two e-mail accounts. My personal account is with earthlink. My business account through an ISP that uses the domain name of my employer. I do not use Microsoft Exchange or Outlook. I tried to remove and reinsert accounts and that did not work. I can receive messages but receive error messages when I try to send.

  Ditto for Messaging. I don't use it very often. But yesterday I receive a text message and tried to answer and got the error message.

  I power the phone off every night because I have a landline phone and use it as the main telephone at home.

  I looked around bulletin boards, trying to find a solution for this.  Has anyone had this problem and it was resolved?

  I forgot to add that there is a stock of pre. There is no patch or homebrew apps.

  I found a fix for the problem of e-mail messages on precentral and this Council a few months ago. The info came in a Google search and not the research councils, which is frustrating.  Here is the info and the link.  I wish really that Palm info on this work around on their site, or at least makes it easy for people to find.  The solution is the last post in the thread linked below:

  Had the same problem.  Checked with Earthlink - no help.  Checked with Sprint - without help.  Checked with Palm - no help.  Finally, here's what worked:

  Delete the earthlink account and start again.  When you do - it's the key - set up the account manually.  If you use the default settings of pre and try to change the settings it will not fix the problem. Your settings for outgoing mail must be:

  "smtpauth.earthlink.net.

  Use authentication in position 'on '.

  user name is your email address

  your password by e-mail

  Port "587" value

  encryption 'none '.

  Again, the key is to set it manually.

  I think the difference here is the versions of software in your phones (or perhaps the e-mail application used). The old version with Android 4.4 you will see name of shippers without drag down the notification bar but in Android 5/5.1 you will need to slide down the notification at the top bar to see a preview when using our messaging app. But if you go to Hangouts for SMS you need not slide down. Open meeting places and go to settings-> SMS-> SMS disabled to switch to meeting places.
