  • Installation of Acrobat Pro XI of the disc - Cardinal vs full vs personal

I'm going to install Acrobat Pro XI of the disk for the first time.  The research I've done, I think I will ask you to choose a standard, full or custom installation.  I'm kinda a rookie to Acrobat and am not sure the best route to go.  Without knowing what everything is included on the disk for a complete installation, or what might be included in a default installation, it is difficult to know which one to choose.  I guess that go with Custom would let me choose components to install, but, once again, not knowing what are my options who made a choice hard!  Hard drive space is not a problem, so I'm tempted to go with a full installation.  That said, if a full install will load 16G (constituting this number!) language packs I never use, I can give up this option!  I also read that updates cause Acrobat to grow, once again file size, update a bunch of stuff that I never use seems as imprudent.  Advice or advice on the different installation options would be much appreciated.

    Best regards

    Hi David,

Setup, like many, provides the user with the possibility to choose some optional features. The 'Standard' version is just the Basic program and features more would ask. Complete will install all components optional and will custom allow you to select additional features beyond the bare.

Some of the options for Acrobat include language modules and fonts Asian PDF Maker for various programs such as MS Office and AutoCAD.

    Kind regards

  • Installation of Acrobat Pro DC at the disk (instead of main SSD)?

Hello. 10 Windows installed on my SSD, but I would like to install Acrobat Pro DC on my HARD drive (so it doesn't take space on the SSD).

    Are there ways to do?

    Hi jhurtta,

When you install Acrobat you will get 3 options Standard, Complete installation & custom. Choose custom and move forward. It will give you an option to change the installation location.

    Thank you

  • Installation of Acrobat Pro DC issues; tells me that I must quit Safari

I've just upgraded to Acrobat Pro DC. I use a Mac OS X. Which tent to install it tells me whenever he can not be installed because I have to leave safari. Safari is NOT open. What's going on / going wrong?

Once the activity monitor is launched, in the menu bar (at the top), click View options and select "all processes" and check.

Prompt the Installation of Acrobat to Adobe to close "SafariNotificati".

Make sure that the process is selected.

  • Installation of Acrobat Pro DC deletes Acrobat XI

I installed Acrobat Pro DC to see that Acrobat Pro XI has been deleted from my system. The only remaining trace is a question mark in my dock where the Acrobat icon used to be. If it's supposed to happen? If so, why? If it was a deliberate choice, it's a TERRIBLE one!

I have a lot of procedures for the processing of files with Acrobat XI. With DC I'm flying blind and cannot function effectively. Yes, I'll get used to it eventually, but Acrobat XI of my Applications folder move was quite unexpected. I keep different versions of many active programs to meet the requirements of the customer or use plug-ins occasional that I don't like to upgrade. Any other Adobe program was deleted when I installed a newer version.

I need to restore XI on my computer. Is there a conflict that will prevent the two versions of Acrobat to coexistence on my computer? Since it does not turn off, do I have a problem of activation of the new facility?

    Hi jageez,

We're really sorry for the inconvenience posed for you.

Could you please let me know what version of the operating system that you use.

You can check the mentioned link which discusses about how Acrobat DC test facility removes previous versions below:

The trial removed previous version Acrobat | How to reinstall

If you want to return to Acrobat XI, then follow the instructions listed on this link of doc KB:

Acrobat DC uninstalled Acrobat XI | How to get Acrobat XI

Please note that Adobe does not support the installation of multiple versions of Acrobat on the same computer. Because Acrobat works with many products, several versions installed simultaneously can lead to errors and software conflicts.

If you want to use Acrobat on the new computer, and then disable it first from the old computer and then install and activate a new using the same Adobe ID (by subscription) or license (serial key).

Hope this information is helpful to you.

    Kind regards

  • Help with installation of Acrobat Pro VI

I just bought a new Mac Book Pro - I've done a full migration of my old Pro, but ended up having many of my Adobe programs uninstall because, while trying to free up space on my old Pro, I had accidentally deleted some files of application led me to get error messages when I open programs.  Anyway - I was able to reinstall all the programs on the new computer, with the exception of Acrobat Pro VI - Installer CC told me that it is "up-to-date", even if it is not installed on my computer and it gives me the opportunity to install it.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

  • Installation interrupted - Acrobat Pro XI - Windows 8 (x 64)

    HI -.

I'm trying to install a trial version of Acrobat Pro XI on a Windows 8 (x 64). I use Adobe Download Wizard to download the files and start the installation (choice to save the files on my desktop). I choose "use the trial subscription or" and the installation wizard begins. However, whenever the Assistant eventually "roll back" and ends with a message that the installation has been interrupted. It does not indicate what was the interruption, so I can't figure out how to solve the problem.

    Other potentially important information:

    -execution of Bitdefender Internet Security

-have already run the cleaning of acrobat tool to ensure all installs partial have been removed

    * New: I can't have passed the test of use or subscription / I have a serial number screen.

Yes, you missed your activation. Nothing you can do at this point. This will work only if you buy it (without taking into account your technical problems at the moment).

  • Problem installation of Acrobat Pro, windows

I have an Acrobat Pro install question, previously to install Acrobat Pro (Creative cloud) for Windows, we had to use this command at the command prompt

    exceptionDeployer - workflow = install - mode = pre

now it does not work (new year, new acrobat pro?) but if we change pre to post it seems to work. What is the fix?

    Thank you

    Hi MICHAEL CROUSE,

DC Acrobat is installed using setup.exe through the command line (and not through the Exception Deployer tool) before you run the MSI CCP and if necessary for the deployment of other applications exception, run the Application deployer of Exception.
