At the start of Firefox I find many other versions running under
Firefox starts with all my saved tabs but then I find that there are several versions run the old slot (I mean very old) versions of connections to other pages to start running that can not connect). Seriously, this slows down my computer.
How to get rid of the duplication?
Are sites that open in other tabs or windows?
It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and files possible sessionstore-# .js [3] with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

At the same homepage for several years; problem just started a few days ago, without warning. Tried to reboot Firefox with no resolution. If I type in the URL of the home page, it always moves to a new page showing the 404 error and rollback leads me to the home page, but only with Firefox and only on this computer. Problem is not repeated with Explorer or Firefox on another computer.

Poster off-screen at the start of Firefox
Hello. I'm having a problem with Firefox 8. I've updated just now. At first, everything seemed fine, but only today, when I opened Firefox to browse the Internet, never, it seems, although I heard him running. The window itself disappears whenever I tried to access Firefox, despite always on display in the preview window. In addition, whenever I clicked to open firefox, several windows appear to have opened to the start page of Mozilla. Despite this, none of them will appear on the desktop when enlarged. I tried to access Firefox via the Manager tasks, restart my computer several times, had tried to get Firefox in safe mode and even re-installed and uninstalled Firefox itself three separate times. I also tried to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete and Ctrl-Alt-space-M and these corrections that I met to try to resolve this problem, of which none has solved this problem Firefox is the main browser I use. It's frustrating for me that I can't access the browser. It seems to work, else the fact that I can't see what I'm trying to access something other than a miniature preview displayed when I hover over the icon on the desktop. Is anyone else having a similar problem, or is that what I'm doing wrong?
I ran the antivirus scans on my computer, which is only a few months old and this doesn't seem to be a hardware problem. If anyone has any advice, solutions, or just the same problm, entry would be well appreciateed. I'm close to the end of my tether if it continues to be. I thank very you much for any help you may offer. I would be extremely grateful that I can't access my information for troubleshooting this issue due to the above question. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Edit: Starting from 27/11/11, I tried also back to previous versions of this browser to see if that fixed this issue, all to nothing does not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this browser several times, always with no end to the problem in sight. I decided to leave Firefox uninstalled for now, out of pure frustration with this issue. I really love Firefox, but it is of no use to me if I can't access the content I am trying to see. I hope this problem is solved in the future, because to switch browsers threw me for a bit of a loop. Thanks again for your time and consideration in this matter.
Use Restore or expand in the context menu of the icon in the taskbar to set the focus to the Firefox application if you do not see it.
Open the system menu via Alt + space and see if you can resize the window.
If it works then close Firefox (file > exit/Quit) to save the setting.See also:

The JRE install HYPeric change or affect other versions of JRE on
I was asked by some administrators running windows applications that use a database or JRE. What follows:
If they install an open HYperic customer source on these systems will affect or change the JRE
that their application uses? If the JRE that installs HYperic is a different version?
There are other problems THST msy bre caused by the installation of a client on a window or
UNIX box.Hyperic products are supplied with a JRE in order of
more convenience. You can choose to use your own JRE, assuming that it responds to the
the minimum requirements (essentially 1.4 +). However, the JRE bundled

JRE is installed in a subdirectory in each of the Hyperic
products and is entirely contained in this directory. -
File download opens at the start of Firefox
I just reinstalled Firefox on my Mac. Now everytime I open the program the .dmg file appears on my desktop and the dialog box where I needed to drag the firefox icon in my Applications folder appears. Firefox starts and works fine, but it's embarrassing to have these as two other pop up on my desktop as well. What should I do to get rid of these things?
Make sure that Firefox is installed correctly.
Open the Firefox disk image (DMG) file and drag the Firefox program in the folder of the application on your hard drive.
You should not double-click the Firefox application to run from the disk image and drag it out of the DMG file instead. -

In versions of Firefox 4 +, you can use one of them to start in safe mode:
- Help > restart with disabled modules
- On Windows, hold down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox with a double click on the shortcut to the desktop Firefox
- On Mac, hold the Options key when starting Firefox

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
