Secondary base replication error

I have a problem on one of my client sites that I've not seen before. We are reproducing two Machines protected by one carrot in the other off the coast of the main site. Two checkpoints of the machines create successfully on the nucleus of the host, but a machine falls down during replication. I get a message to halfway through that "an incorrect record was read repository will not be may not be not available." The other machines of replicates correctly. The two shots of machines are stored in the same repository. All have ideas?

Thank you!

Hi elspense,

The best course of action is to open a service request with product support, force a repository check on every deposit on each core and then upload the logs using Aanews to the service request, you have opened.  Support engineer will then reach you on the ticket.  Make sure to note in the service request that newspapers have been downloaded.

To open a Service request: support.software.dell.com/manage-service-request

This is how to download the Aanews newspapers: support.software.dell.com/.../117808

On the core of AppAssure 5:

Go to C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\CoreService\AAInfo.

Right-click AAInfo.UI.exe and then click Run as administrator.

Enter the SR number in the appropriate field, and then click OK.

Inform the technician of support assigned to your case when the upload is complete.

Thank you

Derek

  • Cannot save an ACS secondary for replication of ACS primary 5.2.

    Hello

I hope someone can help me.  Currently, I have two devices Cisco ACS and both are classified in the PRIMARY.  The first ACS is running version 5.2.0.26 while the second ACS is running version 5.3.0.40.

My original thought was to install the first ACS and do serve primary and have it replicate its data on the ACS SECONDARY.  Somehow, after installation, the ACS are now listed as PRIMARY.  When I go into secondary ACS under Deployment Options to try to save it in elementary school, I get the following error message:

"This failure has occurred.  Failed to authenticate with node.  Your changes have not been saved. »

Even if I try this GBA primary to save it for the secondary ACS, I get the same error message.  I tried all passwords including the credentials of the admin super user, my credentials for the administrator and the credentials provided to SSH in ' GBA and nothing is helping.

Reading online, I read there was a way to remove an ACS secondary, but I don't have the ability to add this server in the primary for "bump it down" to a secondary antibody hoping to save it for the primary ACS.

If anyone can give me some pointers, I would greatly appreciate.

Thank you, and all have a wonderful day.

    THERE

    Yvonne,

If the identifier is the same then definitely replication does not work, you will not be able to enroll in primary school if the license is the same. The good side is that you have the other license, you only need to install.

However I have more bad news, the only way to re - install a license file in ACS 5.x uses the CLI command 'acs reset-config', but it will also delete all of the configuration that you have on this server, except the network configuration (IP, gateway, DNS, etc.)

After entering this command if you are trying to access the GUI, you should not use the name of user and password acsadmin/default, then you will be asked to locate the license file.

Here is a document with this information where you need it:

    Hello

Enter the IP address of the primary server, not the host name.

It seems that your DNS has no name, so you have to add the ip address and try.

  • Secondary Site Replication

We are trying to reproduce our Vmware environment complete on a secondary site through Site Recovery Manager (probably to a third party of data center on the cloud)

Of course, we could use equivalent RAM, storage space on secondary site but are there other equipment requirements that I should be aware? For example, the secondary site hosts would need to have the same set of processors as the guests in the main site? And it will be attached to the same base VCA as main site?

In addition, trying to decide if the built-in replication would be enough or do we need to buy a third-party replication product. Can anyone offer advice? Our environment is a small, around 20-30 VMs which will include 2-4 SQL servers, 2 Exchange servers, 2 domain controllers and different application servers. Any advice or pointers to good greatly appreciated reading materials!

    See you soon

    Steve

    Hello

No, you don't need material identical to your site of Dr. Virtual Machine doesn't care about underlying hardware (in the worst cases additional restart will be necessary for some feedback more older if operating systems change the provider of CPU).

VCA is not necessary between sites. It is necessary within the ESX cluster, when CPU of servers is different and only allow not of vMotion. So if all ESX servers in the site of DR have identical CPUs, you must CVS at all.

Take in VM hardware version account in order to avoid the situation where your main site VMs hardware version can be supported by the hosts of the DR site.

If you plan to implement SRM 4.x, replication based on the Bay is the only option. This means that you need to configure replication on your storage array. To do this, Bay supported storage and installation of SRA (storage replication adapter) written by the storage provider.

With vSphere SRM5 replication has been introduced, that replicates the VM between ESX hosts. All guests must be ESXi 5. Bandwidth required depends on the amount of change in your environment.

  • Windows Server 2012R2 replication errors

Hi, just work through exams 2012R2 if it is in a lab environment, but would like some help on this one that I had trouble finding a solution on this one.

Just to give you a little history, until recently, I had a single DC 2012R2 environment on my lab. About 6 months ago I had to follow the nets below to retrieve my DC after what can't that assume was an unclean shutdown of my host.

    http://blog.Shiraj.com/2014/10/how-to-fix-c00002e2-directory-services-could-not-start-blue-screen/

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/2751452

I'm working through scenarios without problem until recently.

I added a 2nd DC to the existing successful domain although while they inspected the State of replication I seem to come through a few questions in relation to the folder sysvol replica don't properly on the additional domain controller.

The folder and subfolders are but empty during the 2nd DC.

I run DCDiag on the original domain controller today, the majority of the tests pass ok (some have failed, but I transfer the roles, closing the vms on and outside, as I used it, but the below was obvious as I promoted the 2nd DC):

There are warning or error events in the last 24 hours after the
SYSVOL is shared.  Don't not SYSVOL replication problems can cause
The Group of political problems. (from DCDIAG)

I ran the monitor of the replication on the original domain controller health and get the 2 outputs following.

    1. the DFS replication service failed to recover from an internal database error on the C: volume. Replication stopped for all folders replicated on this volume until the database is automatically rebuilt. If the database is rebuilt successfully, replication will resume once the reconstruction is complete. If the database cannot be rebuilt, a separate event is generated. If you see this error more than twice in seven days, we recommend that you run Chkdsk on the volume that contains the database. Event ID: 2104

    2. the service stopped DFS replication on the C: volume replication. This failure can occur because the disk is full, the disc is a failure or a quota limit has been reached. Event ID: 2004

I followed the discussions to try and resolve this problem without a bit of luck, I can also confirm that the disk is not full or failed.

On the 2nd DC health is:

This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder SYSVOL share and does not currently participate in replication. This delay can occur because the Member is waiting for the replication service DFS retrieve the settings from Active Directory Domain Services replication. After the Member detects that it is part of the replication group, the Member will start the initial replication.

Where papers on the original domain controller I was also picking up the following event logs:

  • SRM 5.5 - vSphere replication - error: impossible to reverse the replication for the Virtual Machine. A snapshot operation cannot be performed

Hi all, we have just run a test DR failover of a couple of virtual machines in our protected our failover site and all site swung perfectly, two virtual machines came online and all applications work well. However when we cam to r-eprotect machines virtual, we get some errors.

One of the virtual machines seems to have lived the reprotect end process, it is still running, but has not moved to 89% for some time. The virtual machine has a couple of grand (a little less than 2 TB) VMDK. slow progress is just a consequence of the large VMDK?

More worrisome is the virtual machine which don't reprotect at all. It generates an error whenever I click on the "Restore" button (error: impossible to reverse the replication for the Virtual Machine.) A snapshot operation can not be performed).

Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Andy

Finally got to the bottom of this. The issue was that reprotect SRM work was trying to dispel any snapshots that were taken on the computer object virtual destination in VMWare, but could not clean snapshots.

The reason why snapshots would not consolidate was because it was snapshots of temporary VEEAM who in fact any snapshot file listed in the VSAN data store. So when we looked through the browser data store, no snapshot file existed in the virtual computers folder. Trying a manual removal also failed.

To fix this, we created a snapshot of the virtual machine in the original data center (note is the engine to the bottom of the virtual machine), this effect was to get rid of the 'fade' snapshot that was visible in the Snapshot Manager that VEEAM backup had left behind. Once this had disappeared, the reprotect back to DCA worked perfectly.

  • Replication error creation agreement

    Hi all

DS 6.3.1 pkg based on Solaris 10 sparc.

When I create a replication by the dscc agreement, I get the following error:

Creation of replication agreement between dc = ban, dc = corp (ldap1:389) and dc = ban, dc = corp (ldap2:389)... The mistake sent by the server was Exception ID = 33 = [internal error triggered when the string decryption] Message.

In any case, the agreement is created, but I saw in the access log, the following message:
    [15/Feb / 2011:12:19:20 + 0100] conn = op 76 = 0 msgId = 1 - BIND dn = "cn = Manager of replication, cn = replication, cn = config" method = 128 version = 3

    [15/Feb / 2011:12:19:20 + 0100] conn = op 76 = 1, msgId = 2 - UNBIND

ldap1 trying to bind against ldap2 without password. I already checked that the user 'Replication Manager' is a password.

I think Exception ID = 33 = [internal error triggered when the string decryption] Message means that it is impossible to decrypt the string SSHA, isn't it?

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Julio

The err = 48 usually means the CONNECTION went against an account on the target which did not have a userPassword attribute. I guess that the agreement-repl-agmt, who put in place.

  • overflow of DAQmx Base DMA error 42

I need to perform a simultaneous non sine wave AO and collect data of 2-channel AI all at 1000 Hz.  I use LV8.5.1 on a 1.5 GHz G4 running OS 10.4.11.  I have a Council AO PCI6733 and a PCI6143 Board AI (S series).  Everything I tried yielda a time-out after lass 5 000 000 samples DMA error.  I tried the ProducerConsumerDAQmxBase.vi of this thread:

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=364720&query.ID=52503#M364720

    When I run a 100 Hz it overflows into<140s, at="" 150hz="" in="" 43s,="" at="" 200hz="" in="">

Am I basically limited by my skinny horses or can I use advanced features to speed things up?  Can I transfer the entire project to a dual G5/2.7 GHz with a 1.3 GHz bus, but who's going to buy something?

If I use a vi in a single call to the Commission of the AO and have the call IN a loop just write an indicator of table, it actually works to 1000 Hz.  But in addition to analyze in a wave of 900 000 point 6733, who has only a 8 k buffer, I need to make a few measurements GPIB and save, and display data.  When I try one of these tasks, I get the DMA overflow.  Defining a buffer large output doesn't seem to help.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

  • AddNode cmd failed for the secondary node: internal error of AAM - agent could not start. : unknown error HA

I'm testing paths to upgrade to vSphere ESX 3.5 update 4 on an IBM BladeCenter with 2 hs21 xm Server blades; I am going through several problems, and the last is the one mentioned in the subject of this thread.

In this scenario, I've upgraded successfully vCenter then I took all the virtual machines on a single host esx 3.5, I removed the other host in the cluster, and then vcenter, then I did a new install of vSphere, I reconnected it the host to the cluster then I did all the procedure with the second node. In the end, I have two installed vSphere hosts but I had to disable my cluster HA always been, I get this error when I try to configure HA agents on the hosts, but I must say that the DRS ok works.

In the release notes for vSphere, in the section known issues, I can read:

"Upgrade of an ESX/ESXi 3.x host an ESX/ESXi 4.0 host results in a successful upgrade, but VMware HA reconfiguration may fail.

When using vCenter Update Manager 4.0 to upgrade an ESX/ESXi 3.x ESX/ESXi 4.0 host, if the host part of an AP or DRS cluster, the update succeeds and the host is reconnected to vCenter Server, but HA reconfiguration may fail. The following error message in the summary of the host tab: HA agent has an error: cmd addnode failed for the main node: internal error of AAM - agent could not be started. : HA unknown error.

Solution: manually reconfigure HA by right-clicking on the host and select Reconfigure for VMware HA. »

  • ACS database does not not after having changed the secondary ip of acs.

Hello.. Im having 2 ACS 3.1 server. ACS01 (primary) & ACS02 (secondary). We recently moved ACS02 to another site and has changed its ip address.

When we of database replication from ACS01, we received the error message saying ACS02 has refused the request of replication.

Any idea what can be the problem?

Consider these elements when you implement the database replication feature Cisco Secure:

    (1) ACS supports only supported replication of database to other ACS servers. All ACS servers participating in the Cisco Secure database replication must run the same version and patch to FAC level.

    (2) the principal server copy compressed and encrypted the database on the secondary server components. This transmission is done via a connection TCP, Port 2000. The TCP session is authenticated and using an encrypted protocol, Cisco-owners.

    (3) only hosts properly configured, valid ACS can be secondary servers. To add a secondary server, configure it in the AAA servers table in the section of this document Network Configuration. When a server is added to the AAA servers table, the server is displayed for selection as a secondary server in the list of AAA servers as replication partners, on the Cisco Secure database replication page.

    (4) the principal server must be configured as an AAA server and must have a key. The secondary server must have a primary server configured as an AAA server and its key for the primary server must match the key primary servers.

    (5) secondary servers replication takes place sequentially in the order listed in the replication list under replication partners, on the Cisco Secure database replication page. (6) the secondary server that receives the replicated components must be configured to accept replication of database from the primary server. To configure a secondary server for database replication, refer to configuring a secondary Cisco Secure ACS Server of this document section.

    (7) ACS does not support two-way replication of database. The secondary server, which receives the replicated components, check that the primary server is not on its list of replication. If this is not the case, the secondary server accepts replicated components. If so, it rejects the components.

    (8) to replicate the seller of RADIUS defined by the user and the configurations of the specific attribute (VSA) provider successfully, definitions have to be replicated must be identical on the primary and secondary servers. This includes seller RADIUS slots occupy sellers RADIUS defined by the user. For more information on the sellers of the RADIUS and the VSA attributes defined by the user, see section User-Defined RADIUS vendors and VSA sets the document Cisco Secure ACS database command-line Utility.

  • ACS appliance 4.2 - database replication internal problem

    HelloW

    I'm yunchoul jung in Korea

now I'm setting up ACS unit 1113 ver4.2

in internal, primary and secondary database replication server ACS cannot repliacate the database due to the configuration of SELF (127.0.0.1) by default in the configuration of the network.

so I have a guestion, how do I replace 127.0.0.1 address to the ip address you want or delete SELF (127.0.0.1) address

I don't understand a procedure of solution in the documentation below.

Thank you for your help in advance

Problem: 127.0.0.1 is a reserved address

You have two units of the ACS SE 1113 and replicate the database internal from the primary to the secondary.

but you notice this error message in the secondary unit:

Replication of database of ACS denied - incompatibility of secret shared incoming

When you try to change the key of course AAA under Network Configuration Server error message is

    returned.

This is due to a known bug,

Symptom: 127.0.0.1 address appears in ACS and the replication fails

    Conditions:

    Install Acs S/W version 4.2.0.124

    Disable the network adapter

    Enable network card

    * Go to the network settings page.

    * Should see the AA server IP to be a return loop

    Workaround solution:

For windows: remove the 127.0.0.1 entry

For the device: back up the database, install ACS on windows, restore, delete

the entry, make a backup and restore on the device

    Start by missing error MSI.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.
