  • Weird error of Secure API for app without Secure API

    Hi, some of my remote testers find it difficult to load my application on their devices. I sent the files .alx and .cod files each time so that they could use their application of Device Manager to load my application on the phone.

    The error more common that they are reporting is: "error at startup of XXXX: Module 'XXXX' attempts to access a secure API." This occurs when they start the app on their phone.

    There is no secure API used in my application. The signing of Code tool also tells me that I is not need to sign the application for what it is.

    All have OS 4.6.1 or higher on their phone, and the application is compiled for 4.6.1.

    2. are there other known problems should I watch?

    1 NO.

    2. in function

    You should ask one of them to send you a log of the device, it will specify where and what causes the exception.

    In the eclipse webworks menu, select project-> BlackBerry-> sign with Signature tool.

    Then upload the generated files.

  • Application module tries to access the secure API

    Hi all.

    We are new to Blackberry Java development and have some problems with it.

    We use the same BlackBerry Bold 9000 and OS worm Simulator. 5.0 in Eclipse JDE.

    The JDE version is 5.0.0

    We signed HelloWorldDemo with tool of power, provided by BB. It worked fine on the Simulator AND the device.

    Then we signed our own application, based on PictureScrollFieldDemo.

    The thing is, on the simulator of OUR application works fine, but when we try to run on the device, it failed with an error that says something like this: "Application module tries to access the secure API."

    After that many times we tried to remove the code all potentially dangerous and recompile the application. After that it stopped working at all (when you click on the application menu, ABSOLUTELY nothing happens).

    Then, we decided to try to launch PictureScrollFieldDemo, the sample provided by BlackBerry. Also, it did not work

    Finally, the HelloWorldDemo has stopped working or the other...

    During all this madness, we rebooted the unit several times.

    Please help, appreciate any advice.

    Thanks in advance, geezmo.

    You should have received 3 keys, RBB, CPR and RRT. You imported all 3 when you have been setting up the signature tool?

    Nithyam,

    There are APIs that have to sign of RIM to use on real devices. If you look at the API documentation, you can see the Sigened category. This indicates that you have to sign your application.

    To get the signature keys that you must spend 20USD and you can connect any number of applications for unlimited periods.

    PS: Sorry is in edit mode.

    Last week, I built and signed myApp. It loaded and run correctly on the device. This week changes have been made to the code, recompiled, signed and redeployed. Now, we get the attempts to reach an eveytime failure secure API that the code is executed. The secure API is PersistentObject and was last week.

    My last attempt, I deleted physically files .alx and .cod, .jar, .jad, .csl, .cso files prior to construction. I have verfied the 352 KB .cod size after compilation and 356 Ko after the signing. All of the code in the signature tool reflects signed. I even removed the .cod from the server where it is deployed and verified that everything is signed. We use the loader of office right now to load the code on the phone.

    I never saw this when the cod file has actually been signed.  You can try to use javaloader to get cod off the coast of the unit and compare it with your signature.  Just a thought.

  • Module is trying to access a secure API - the reinstallation of Signature keys...

    Hello

    ATER, a problem that I have to reinstall my eclipse + jde plugin, as a result of this relocation, I also need to ask new .csi file in order to resinstall also Signature keys.

    After receiving 3 new csi files, signature keys has been successfully installed.

    Now, I have no problem when I run a ' build and sign Blackberry Widget Project ", that I get every time that a" SUCCESS BUILDING "result.»

    The problem is when I execute the widget on a real device, after the launch of the application whenever I get a "Module to access a secure API attempts" then the request has failed.

    Feature: Storm 2 9529 worm 5.0.0.306 (platform)

    For your information before my new installtion of the eclipse + JDE widget built with previous keys and the previous eclipse running on the same device that above.

    I did not change my source code, I try just to check if the application still running with the new keys and the new Eclipse + JDE.

    Does anyone have an idea what's wrong?

    Looks like you need another set of files of csi.

    Before installing your new keys delete all files sigtool.csk, sigtool.db and sigtool.set on your PC.  This will clear your previous code signing keys.

    So be sure to install each of the 3 csi files in the mansion even to make sure that all are installed in the same development tool.

  • Error: Attempt to access a secure API

    Hello

    I have a request, but when I run the application in the device, I get the following message:

    Error starting BBPlusSDKTest: module 'BBPlusSDK' trying to access a secure API

    the BBPlusSDK is a JAR file, and the BBPlusSDKTest is my main program.

    Inside my main program (BBPlusSDKTest). Apply an 'import' in the jar (BBPlusSDK).

    Initially, had problems with the Key RRT for the file BBPlusSDKTest.cod , but already completed the signing of this file.

    But now it shows another error message (trying to access a secure API).

    I use the tools following and device:

    (1) terminal Blackberry 8320

    (2) blackBerry JDE 4.5.0

    (3) Java JDK 1.6.0_14

    And also I read a few similar cases in the forum, but none of this has solved my problem.

    could someone help me with this problem.

    Kind regards

    I run the file of cod of the library with the signature tool.
    And is displayed with the status "signed".

    so, I have to sign another cod file. but still the error persists.

    by chance, the BlackBerry does not support this level of security of the operating system type?

    Kind regards

  • Signed API question

    I said that I have to paid for RIM signed API. But I've found that I can use "Browser.getDefaultSession ()" free. (It's a signed indeed API). Thus, everything works fine if I just try to open some URL like

    "Private BS = Browser.getDefaultSession ();
    BS.displayPage (XMURL); »

    But, if I try to read the properties of a jad, it appears error message like "...". attempts to access a secure API. "

    class XMMidlet extends MIDlet which has not signed API

    Public Shared Sub main (String argv {}
    XMMidlet xmMidlet = new XMMidlet();
    String appserver = xmMidlet.getAppserver ();
    String port = xmMidlet.getPort ();
    "" String XMURL = appserver + ":" + port + ' / jetspeed.
    Private BS = Browser.getDefaultSession ();
    BS.displayPage (XMURL);
    }

    Does anyone have any idea on this? Thank you

    Signature keys cost 20 USD for unlimited time and signatures.

    Buy signature key, sign your application and it can solve the problem.

  • In bulk 2.0 api questions

    A few questions about the 2.0 API in bulk for eloqua:

    1. can I use the api to make a new "shared list" (I think they are also called "ContactLists")?  If so, how?

    2. can I search for a list 'shared '?  If so, how?

    3. how to add contacts to a shared list?

    4. how to export contacts, where the filter is a search for contacts that are part of a set of contacts that I provide?

    For example, I have a list on my server to e-mail address 100-1000.  I want to use the API to search for the email address 100-1000 and back (export) any contact whose e-mail addresses correspond to these.

    I was able to do this by using the normal 1.0 (using 1 call per each email unfortunately) rest API, but I do not understand how this API in bulk without making a single call to each of them (which is something I want to do because it is asynchronis).

    5. How can I delete a lot of contacts?

    Thank you

    Chris Duncan

    jamesf You can add contacts to an existing shared list as part of an API to import bulk by adding a synchronization action to the import definition.  You can find more details in the API user guide in bulk:

    (2) I have a customer who has 3 areas of Secure.  Each Secure area must have a basic text content shown.  The content is specific to this protected area.  Question - I know how to hide/show info Secure area based on the BC-0 {whoisloggedin} and {whoisloggedin} settings - 1, but is there a way to add an ID of the < div > tag to show only the content relevant to a specific area Secure ID?

    Hello

    You can put this in a form:

    Date - October 1, 2013

    There is currently no way to expose it that your request directly, BC in the live version of it has no area ID in the sense of what you use to. But you can look at to try to use:the Developer Reference

  • FMS Admin API questions

    I implement a surveillance for FMS application using the FMS API administrator.

    I have two questions:
    1. - the getActiveInstances() method requires as a mandatory of the processID number FMSCore parameter

    Is it possible to get everything running FMSCore processes using the admin API?, I have not found any method to do this, but I know FMS knows the ID because they are listed in the core.log file when the process is created.

    2 - documentations of method getInstanceStats() says:
    "Starting with Flash Media Server 3.5, you can dynamically control the kernel to which a request is sent. Controlling the nuclei allows load balancing between cores based on their performance counters. »

    Is this mean I have to add performance counters to the OS level to find out what FMSCore uses the least resources?, if that's the case, how can I add a new application to a specific FMSCore, which is nowhere in the documentation.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Carlos,

    1. call the getAppStats() or getInstanceStats() to get the processID number. He came back here: result.data.cores.pid.

    2. you can use configuration files to assign applications to process in various ways. But to assign an application to a specific basic process, you must use the plug-in to access:
    34-7fed.html#WS47C96BDA-C00C-4205-BFA5-C7EDE9000D13 http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaServer/3.5_Plugin/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11a0d6624
    The link above provides more information, but in fact, you use the API of Directors to monitor the quality of service, and then calling setValue() plugin access (in C++) to assign the application to a kernel.

    For more information about the config files to assign apps to cores, see:
    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaServer/3.5_AdminGuide/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119f2 925e64 - 7ff0.html #WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119f2926bcf-7dca

    Hope that helps,
