You must read the comparison of strings in Java. This line:

If (pinNumber == "12345678") {...

will never work for you. You need to use something like:

If (pinNumber.equals ("12345678" "") {...)

This problem of string comparison is probably one of the most common made by beginners of Java. I recommend you get a basic Java book and re-read it before making too many other coding otherwise, you will hit most of these problems.

Another point, the BlackBerry platform has its own peculiarities, which means it is not the ideal platform to learn, at least for a very new Java developer. You can get a few basic java programs working on a platform, that you better know before you start trying to code Java on BlackBerry.

Not connected Secure Application Manager

Hi all

I use Acer Aspire 4937 Windows Vista and when I load the Secure Application Manager it does not connect. I'm running under administrator and have disabled all my firewall. The icon is white instead of blue shooting.

I read a response from forum suggested running in "safe mode with network" and the truly connected secure application manager! But now how do I get it connected in "normal" mode.

Pls help. Thank you

It is important to activate the hidden files and folders view.

Most of the SLCache material will be too, hidden by default and the program data folder.

Open the C: drive.

My original processor cooling fan has stopped working recently and I chose to replace it with a heat sink better while I was home. I used a Cooler Master Gemini II M4 because it was the only cooler increased capacity that would fit in my current case.

After the installation, I got the "error: CPU fan does not, the computer now shuts down to prevent damage to the CPU." Etc... »

My guess is that the motherboard don't like the new fan supplied with the new heat sink. The fan is bigger and I am sure that laps at a RPM lower than the stock fan. I checked my BIOS settings and do NOT have the "Hardware Monitor" section under the "Advanced" tab My BIOS is a newer level than the HP site will provide updates (mine is):

BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 5.09, 19/08/2009).

Is there another way to change the speed of the fan RPM to avoid the error at startup in the BIOS?

I am able to start the computer by using similar fan size 4 pins on the motherboard, while the proper size fan (actually mounted on the radiator) is disconnected. Even with no fan, the new radiator keeps the processor to 45 C or less through all 4 cores under load average.

I guess I could always leave this small fan plugged into the motherboard for the BIOS to be happy and to power the CPU fan off (with an additional case fan) molex power. That would be a last option because I rather know if my CPU fan does not work...

Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

I understand that your new fan is not detected as work correctly by the BIOS. The BIOS does not provide all that many options to control functions such as the speed of the fan, and it's not a way to access this function to the best of my knowledge. I'm afraid that the workaround you mentioned may be your only option with the existing fan do not have access to this setting in the BIOS.

You mentioned that you have connected a fan of similar size to ignore the error. Is there a RPM higher than the fan at the top of the heat sink fan? See the pictures here, it seems that the fan is detachable and can be replaced by the fan who works with the BIOS. It comes as the fan who gets past the BIOS will fit the heatsink.

I think it's necessary for a process to screen lanuch a GUI. However for the background process, looks to me that this is not necessary since the OS already started the process for our application. I just changed my code without waiting here and my background process starts correctly. I'm not 100% sure of what th8s means either, but I guess you run level 7 (which you will if you haven't changed it, and this is the last layer, then you're probably OK.

That said, I would always run not really any startup code until appManager.inStartup () is false.

I'm running Thunderbird ver15 under Win Vista. Gmail considers ver15 a low security application. How updated to a version that works with Gmail?

This worm is working great for years. Suddenly, Gmail could not accept my sign-in. I have auto day together in Thunderbird, but it won't go past worm 15. Only after that I changed the setting in Gmail to enable low security Gmail applications would allow me in my emails via Thunderbird. I could connect to Gmail via the web very well, but not via Thunderbird. Could this be a problem with Vista?

"OAuth2" only works for IMAP accounts. For POP "Normal password" is required, either in "allow applications that are less safe" or authentication step 2.

You can set if "OAuth2' for SMTP server outgoing.

What happened to the toolbar of security-F and check the Google results?

The previous version of Firefox has helped F-Secure enable a toolbar for checking Web sites and more suspicious reports. In addition, it permits F-Secure google search results of rate with respect to their safety for visit. These features do not seem to work in Firefox 4. Is there a way to solve these problems, and if not how can I roll back to my previous version of Firefox?

for some reason the F-Secure toolbar has suddenly works with Firefox 4 on my PC. I donk't now why, but it works all of a sudden today. the last days I had the same problem as alex45. Maybe it works now with your new browser firefox 4, too. It's very strange, because it was not updated for the new browser, at least I had not noticed the updates. Maybe it's F-Secure with its automatic update?

We have networked HP printers in all schools and we, as admins, configuration of printers, do not want end users to change on any of them.

You're right - SNMP v3 would give you support for authentication, but only if you have software that supports the v3.

As far as I know, utility HP can only work through v1/v2.

I don't know if Web Jetadmin can use v3, because I've never used this application.

Can anyone share how I can have the MS Outlook and other applications pref. start immediately when I start my system every day?

It would really help me if I can get Outlook to just start charging in all of my emails that I have POP in different accounts.

The best way to have a program automatically start when you connect, is to put it in your startup folder in your Start menu.

Just open your Start menu and drag any icon down in the startup folder:

I have a small question, I have been asked to perform a health check on demand for a bespoke system. These applications are built with pl sql and also some java, what types of controls are responsible for for a besoke system built on these technicologies?

Your question is almost impossible to answer. The problem is that a good answer will depend on factors as long as it is way over the top for an entry simple forum.

Try to ask the same question in a similar complex environment. I like to compare applications in cars and automotive software architects (or sometimes in the construction of the architects).

What is a good checkup for a car?

The answer is of course very different depending on the type of the car.
