  This problem may occur if there is an inconsistency in the system files or folders associated with XP Security Center. Follow these methods:

  Method 1.

  Disable the firewall and check if that helps.

  Method 2.

  Rename the storage folder.

  1 - Go to control panel, and then open administrative tools.

  2 - click on Services.

  3-go down to Windows Management Instrumentation and stop this service.

  4. stop the Security Center service.

  5-exit and close all windows.

  6. right click on start and select explore.

  7. go down to C:\windows or Winnt\system32\wbem\repository.

  8 remove only the storage folder

  9-go Back To Services and restart the WMI and the Security Center service.

  10. close all windows and restart the computer.

  Quite simply, I get an error message indicating that Windows Media Center will not open. I tried the following: a system restore to a date where library worked with no success. I have run the System File Checker (sfc/runnow} wich ligate without flaws. Finally, I deleted the file mediacenterdatastore which has also no effect. The last thing I want to do is reinstall my operating system, once again, so has anyone out there have any more ways to fix this error... Help! • Security Center will not start.

  I don't know how long it has been so, but I noticed yessterday that the Security Center does not illuminate.

  No will the firewall or the Defender.

  I ran Malaware and Spybot, and moy. Nothing showed except for some tracking cookies, but nothing major.

  I've ran out of ideas and really don't want to have to do a complete reset to original.

  Can someone please help with some ideas of what either elsed I can try.

  Follow these instructions to fix the Windows Firewall:
  Download and install Windows Repair:

  When the repair of Windows opens, click on the tab to start repairs, click Start. Uncheck all boxes except for the following:
  -Reset the registry permissions

He came in saying that a list of things have been found and set up a page where I can buy protection for $59.99 per year. I did that and I who sold his to run a scan with Norton. It showed that she had blocked a Trojan horse and had several blocks of attempts to access my computer.

  Can someone please tell me what to do? I am not very computer English savvy, so simple and clear please.

• Network and sharing Center will not be open in the Panel

  I've been away from home - where I HSI and it works very well - for a few months, I plugged to the network sporadically awireless (sometimes just bad signal), with a lot of frustration.  A few days ago, I went to a place where I could connect to a hard (secure) wireless network and enjoyed the smooth navigation for about an hour.  Later when I tried to connect to the smaller network, unsecure, I couldn't open my network and sharing Center. Whether from the drawer or the Control Panel, a screen opens displaying nothing, but the circle of rotation.  The TASK MANAGER IS REQUIRED to CLOSE THE PAGE - it will not answer the close box. TM shows the centre network and sharing as 'running', although there is no indication on the screen, except the title and the circle of rotation.

  My laptop is a dv6t Pavilion with Windows 7 (64-bit)

  All the other files in the Panel seem to open and operate normally.

  I understand the network and sharing Center will not be open. I will do my best to help you! If please launch and center network and sharing, and wait for him so that he can provide an error.   I did some research on this issue. Unfortunately, the only reliable troubleshooting that is remaining, if the above does not help, is to reinstall the operating system. Too, there are different issues that could be causing it. Reinstalling the operating system will focus on each of them.
