  • Patch updates fail with the error Code 3

I tried to understand this one for months, but I work in the it Department and we have available creative cloud to our creative team. A particular Mac user, who uses a connection to Active Directory, but is a local administrator on their computers, has had this same problem for months, and I wonder what can be done to address this problem.

Whenever an application is installed, it fails to patch. I get an error Code 3 and an individual application cannot be updated. Error Code 3 seems rare because I have not really seen anyone refer to it anywhere on the web. In any case, I already tried the follow-up:

    • Uninstalled/Reinstalled, with or without the cleaning tool
    • Change permissions on specific folders, as well as the entire system disk
    • A ran repair disk and authorization
    • My own creative cloud compiled and installed package
    • Created a new CC account for the user in question

.. .the all of these "fixes" nothing helps.

It should also be noted that this particular user has been given first of all a new hard drive with a new installation of Mac OS X Yosemite and now an other machine. The same behavior continues to poison us. This is crazy!

And whenever I try to set up a chat on-line with Adobe support, wait and wait, only to be expelled leaves a session before it had even begun. It's the equivalent of getting hung up on the phone after waiting on hold for an extended period of time. It's horrible. I really need to solve this problem. All the research I did rush to the same steps to try to remedy the situation, but nothing does. Please, please, please give me something I can work with that.

    Thank you
    Alex S.

  • Monitor HP updates fail with the error code 80070005

I get a message that not load my updates of the screen.  This has been a problem going on since

the purchase of this pc and installation of the monitor.

In addition, I can't run my Bernina on Vista software.  Do I need to buy special software to do this?

    Hello Sharon sews,

The error that you are experiencing with your monitor is an update of the HP driver for the monitor. It is not a Microsoft Update.
See the post on the HP support forum: follow the cutting edge of technology and should help with your problem.
    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/monitors-and-video/update-error-code-80070005/m-p/11754

Regarding the issue with your Bernina problem, it is probably not compatible with Windows Vista.
    You can try the following:

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

You can also try to do a right-click on the setup.exe or .msi file and choose "run as administrator.

    I hope this helps.
