Security on Windows 10
In spite of having relatively few problems by running security software, that I currently have, I had Facebook that I personally know people who have put malware on my PC from their computers at home; either way, they did this Linux system. This malware has interfered with programs like MS Word 2010. and others
This malware will disappear or something else after the upgrade and not this upgrade offers better security to prevent hacks like this does not happen?
Not all anti-virus programs can detect malware, there are many occasions where you must run a separate utility malware scanning
Malware has nothing to do with the operating system used
It's free http://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/

Francisco,
You could simply stop the Microsoft Essentials if it's getting in the way.
Prevent the Microsoft Antimalware Service starts automatically
If you cannot find the software under the name mentioned in the article, locate the service called Windows Defender.
The same rule applies: set the service to manual start or disable the service.
=========================================================================
Opinions differ on the question of whether Microsoft Essentials / Defender should indeed be removed or If disabling services is sufficient.
Pouvez Avast! Pro co-exist with MS Security Essentials?
My 8.1 or OS systems, Windows Defender has been disabled (together) - no problems with Avast first.

update security for Windows XP
I use to install update security for Windows xp KB9811349, but their still another day KB956802, KB979683 KB970238, KB978338, what should I do for this new upcoming update KB numbers are lower than the 1st one i rescently installed
Hello
The KB numbers have nothing to do with these updates. Each number is just used to identify a particular update.
The number you see on Microsoft Update, Windows Update, or in the last security bulletin on the security updates page corresponds to the ID of the Base knowledge Microsoft (KB) article.
Most of these updates are security patches that you really need to use your computer safely and to enhance your work PC.
What's an update number?

As you get a pop up to install an update that is already installed, you can try the following steps and check.
First of all, you can hide the update as it has already been installed.
Follow these steps to do so.
a. click Start and select Control Panel.
b. click on Windows Update and click the updates available.
c. right-click on the particular update and select hide update.
Now, I suggest you to get the Windows Update components that they might have been corrupted.

Cannot install the update of security for Windows XP (KB2686509)
original title: why my XP pro does not accept the following security update? Update security for Windows XP (KB2686509)

I'm not really very good which is why I chose to use automatic updates. I recently got 'updates are ready for your computer' and when I start to download it stops pretty quickly and said:
The following updates have not been installed.
Update security for Windows XP (KB2686509)
Is there a wat to fix this problem without needing to know the registrys etc.
Thank you
Mick
See my post on the third page of this topic which contains detailed instructions for anyone with this problem. Go to the bottom of this page and click Next until you get to page three.
Thanks for the update Mick. You should be able to double-click the file to open it in the command prompt. I did not write the script, so I can't tell you why you were unable to launch it by double clicking. Right click and choose to run it in command line will still work.
@ Icom756pro I do not work for Microsoft, then you would be best suited to forward your complaint directly to them. I understand your frustration, however. I can only recommend that you try the script that I've linked to page 1 of this topic. If this does not resolve the problem then simply hide the update. You should not be prompted to install later.
