Security reset on files

Hey everybody,

If earlier I let someone use my computer, but I changed the accessibility files in my F: drive so that only an administrator account would be able to access.  Well, now, I can not in them without going to each individual file and put me as the owner allowing me all permissions.  As you can imagine, I would like a quicker way to do it as there are has about 450 cases left.

I tried the cmd code given in another post, but that did not work.  Any suggestions?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium

x 64-bit operating system

* Edit: I miss-typed, I a not don't hide them, I changed the accessibility.

I'm sorry, I typed in the wrong thing.  I don't hide them - I changed it so that only the administrator accounts can access.

You seize the property of your files and then give you full access rights. There are two options:

The GUI method:
https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx
https://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727008.aspx

Method of Administration:

1 log in under an administrator account.
2. click on the start planet.
3. type cmd.exe in the search box.
4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
5. click on "run as Administrator".
6. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
takeown /F /R F:\
Cacls F:\/t/c/g everyone: F
(answer 'Y' when asked "Are you sure?")

  • Determine WHAT PDF is secure from Explorer file Windows 7 Pro?

Is there a way to determine if a Document Acrobat from Adobe is secure when you view the list of files in Windows 7 Professional?  We have regularly analyze data and secure the PDF file with password to make sure that the scanned file cannot be changed.  Save us the files in a central location on our server.  When we open the PDF file, we see the file name [e.g. file.PDF (SECURE)] and can say that the document is secure.  I would like to know if there is a simple way (maybe a new column in the file Explorer?) to determine if the file is secure.

Adobe's lol security implies that the various Adobe programs. When the pdf file is opened in an Adobe product, it's when it is activated. In fact, other applications may not even see as secure file...

  • Is there a way to secure a PDF file correctly?

Hi, I have produced a certain. PDF recently and I am looking for an effective way to permissions, such as printing, extraction, screen grabbing to disable or enable (not sure if this is possible).

In less than 5 minutes that I can download the removal of security software, remove the password and send the file to the printer

I was wondering if there is anything I can do to avoid somebody to do this? Is it really possible to secure a PDF file?

That's the idea. The type of sotware you refer does not remove this warranty. The downside is spending, but there are many cases where it is reasonable. It is a method of different security that supports and which is totally different from standard password security.

  • Securing remote FLV files

First of all, let me say that I am very new to Flash. OK... now that I got that road, I'll explain my situation. I'm the host about 60 FLVs for a client and it is to access the movies on its Web site calls when a client requests a particular movie. My * hopefully * very simple question is how to secure the FLV files on my hosting server so that the end-user does not simply bypass Web site and go directly to my server to view FLV files.

In other words, my client is a tax for the videos, but he is concerned that people will be figure to where are stored the original files (pretty easy to do) and its site of derivation.

I'm sure I can put a password on my server, but my client will be able to insert the password in its code so that when he calls my FLVs it can also pass the PW?

Hope that this will be easy.

    See you soon

It may show that I said, "www.thesite.com... data transfer. ", but he would never show 'Transfer of www.thesite.com/thevideo.flv data'... so, how does the user know, firstly, that the name of the video is, second, that it is same format FLV, third, this folder, it might be in... even if they somehow got all this information (which is very unlikely), and they have targeted the FLV in the browser It will not be able to do something with it, because chances are that they do not have Flash, and they don't know how to convert to a usable format.

  • Can someone advise me on AVG Secure startup and file tree bloat remains removal search suggestions?

Recently, I used the solution to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/927950?page=2#answer-364990 by KerriB. It worked. However, I still found traces of the bloatware in two other places. Not sure if I should remove them or not. Suggestions? I've included pictures of the locations (slightly rewritten for security reasons).

We're in my startup programs. Access: Mouseover an open space on your desktop. Press the Windows key and the R key at the same time. A dialog box appears. Type msconfig. Click the Startup tab. It lists all the programs that start at startup. As you can see, ask VProtect and ROC_roc_ssl_v12 are listed as unknown manufacturer, but in the file tree, they are in C:\Program AVG safe search.

The other location is accessible via start, then choosing computer, drive Local (c) (your local drive can be a different letter, obviously), Program Files. As you can see, there are a whole folder FILLED with elements of AVG safe Search.

I have a support ticket open with AVG on this issue, but it is the weekend, I can not hear back for a few days. I'll let everyone know what they advise when back from them, I hear.

    UPDATE:

I complained to AVG, and they offered me a free license for their 2012 AVG Premium paid... Security edition o.O... anyway, I wrote them back asking about the remains above and they responded by sending me a download of a special uninstall program (you have to install - go irony!). I have included a picture of this email (3).

After running the uninstall program, I ran a cleaning of the system, and a deep cleaning run Advanced Systemcare (my favorite Cleanup utility), did a restart, then did a search for 'AVG '.

As you can see (picture 4), I * STILL * had a folder filled with AVG, accessible by clicking on start, computer, C:\.

I've done a shred secure deletion (again, and Advanced Systemcare tool, but simply to delete probably would be nice) this folder of AVG. Yet once, I ran a cleaning system, and a deep cleaning run Advanced Systemcare (my favorite Cleanup utility), did a restart, then did a search for 'AVG '. This time, nothing came. Great! right? No. I wanted to be * SURE * it was ALL gone, so I opened Windows Defender (the included firewall that comes with Windows 7), expanded the menu on the drives to be analyzed and down-and-this is, look, you know, a $AVG (image 5) HIDDEN folder!

Now, I have to show all hidden folders to find. Which is done by clicking on start, control panel (change display by: small icons), Options records, (popup window), display tab, then check the selection dot next to "Show hidden files, folders and drives", apply, OK (see image 6 for description). Now go back to start, computer, C:\, and it should show the hidden $AVG folder. If that does not show it, you can also do a search and delete the search results folder. Yet ONCE, I ran a cleaning system, and a deep cleaning run Advanced Systemcare (my favorite Cleanup utility), did a restart, then did a search for 'AVG '.

I feel now that I am completely free of AVG. I hope this helps you get rid of it too!

  • Security / reset the integrated Web site administrator password

    Hello

    I use a HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One - C311a (PMN: CQ877A, Firmware: VEP1CN1137CR).

While trying to set up the integrated Web site security administrator password, I used a generated password of 20 characters.

After that, I was unable to connect to printer with the same password administrator settings. I also tried with the same password remove some characters at the end, one by one, just in case the internal password printer storage area has truncated less than 20 characters.

I tried a partial reset, semi Full Reset, OOBE Reset, full Reset (through what appears to be a blue start menu) and clear derivatives. None of these methods erased the administrator password.

Is there a specific command or method that would allow me to access administrative back?

    Thank you

    Hi Jay4096,

The full semi's to zero that would reset the password in your screenshot that you provided. You will need to contact support and let them know that the printer fails to clear the password by using the semi full reset. You can contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. I use oracle 12 c. I have a form where I have 3 fields and an af:inputFile where I need to download the file and the final backup.

  • Windows Media Player will not play music files - need to reset the file path

I'm trying to access my music on an external drive (g) using windows media player. The player is looking for music in the E: drive, which is a separate external drive that my friend uses for its iTunes. How to reset the path to the file for windows media player? It gives me the possibility of rerouting individually paths files, but not a lot of re - routing. I have reset the default settings, reinstalled the drive external, even enabled/activated on WMP (of the Panel).

I tried. The drive G:\ was included in the WMP library before this problem (and to make sure, I deleted and added it). Despite this, the paths for each song pointed toward the drive E:\.  I solved the problem by deleting all of your WMP library (not files) and restart the media player. The files were then reread with the correct file paths.

  • Secure Socket policy file problems

OK, it's a little odd.  History: the site is internal - so rather than a second IP address to manage the socket connections, we use port 8088.  We also both a connection secured and unsecured.

I wrote two simple java socket servers to meet the demands of policy file - insecurity on 843 and secure on 844.  The two seem to work as expected.  My logs show the request happens: 843 and the policy file is sent.  Connects also see the the request arrives: 844 and the policy file is sent.

If I do not have a policy on 843 then the policy file on 844 is never read.

So that security policy to read - I added this in one of the class files:

    Security.loadPolicyFile ("tlssocket://mydomain.com:844"); ")

The policy file is the same for both.

    <? XML version = "1.0"? >

    <! DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "/ xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd" > "".

    < cross-domain-policy >

    < site permitted-cross-domain-policies of control = "master only" / >

    "< allow-access-from domain =" "*" ports = "*" / >

    < / cross-domain-policy >

The error being thrown suggests that, of course, the policy file is being played - however, it complains about the <>site-control tag and stops?

    Security Sandbox Violation

    Mydomain.com:8088 interrupted connection - not allowed to https:// mydomain.com/includes/myswf.swf?nocache=111115102420

WARNING: Ignoring the tag < site-control > in the policy of tlssocket file: / /mydomain.com:844.  This tag is only allowed in the police files.

Has anyone meet issues such as policy files course this portion?

Yes, this article of server socket is not very useful.  In practice, many socket servers are customized or exclusive, so there is no convenient guide really useful to write on this front.

Supported secure sockets becomes a little more complex, because some browsers (Chrome) have more complicated handles of hand than others for the TLS Protocol, so your server socket must be able to negotiate several styles of handshake, but is not a Flash issue by itself.

Regarding making policies themselves, it's the best reference:

File changes of strategy in Flash Player 9 and Flash Player 10 | Adobe Developer Connection

This white paper offers a guide further on general policy files:

White paper: Adobe Flash Player 10 security | Adobe Developer Connection

In short, the master socket policy file must be served to 843.  This requirement exists, to prove that you administer the area.  All of this has to do is to serve this response, so you do not necessarily have something complex to make this work.

The reasoning here (and it was all driven by abuse research and real world), it's that if any arbitrary port could set the policies for all ports on the field, which is very problematic, if for example, an attacker could exploit a weakness in a socket server which could then serve as the escalation of privileges to other services based on the socket running on many ports on the same domain.

Master policy, you can set the capacity of the other ports to serve their own policies of port specific (although in practice, I can not think a good reason on top of my head), but you * have * to serve the master first.

So, if you wanted to allow Flash to access port 844 on your domain, you would probably want to do something like this on port 843:

At this point, if you need 844 to also serve a policy file to fine-tune the behavior of this port, and you have enabled it in the master served on 843 socket policy file, then we go to ask a second strategy of 844 file and analyze these guidelines as well.

Also, if you want to argue that the port 844 SWF access request should be served to the client via HTTPS, then proceed as follows:

Is not magically activate TLS on decision-making, but it make sure that the customer THAT SWF has been served safely to the customer.  (see, there no sense by encrypting the taking, if you can code MITM interacts with taking in the first place).

If you want to establish the socket on a TLS connection, you must make the request from socket using the SecureSocket class, how I think asking 843 yet policy, but will fail if it cannot complete a TLS negotiation in this application (so the 843 and the target port should be able to handle the TLS negotiation for this area).

Hope that helps to clarify things.
