Security Scan Pop Ups
I get RegWork pop ups (every two minutes or more) and I never installed it. I tried to delete the associated files (I think that PC Max) and it always happens. What can I do?
Hello
You should NEVER use Registry cleaners.
Use the version FREE of Revo Uninstaller to remove:

And scan your system for malware:
Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware, if necessary in Mode safe mode with networking:

And here's how to go in Safe Mode options; Select safe mode with networking from the list of options:

One can help to to get rid of this 2 pop ups plx.
Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and install and run Autoruns and go to the tab all and check the files referred to in your message. If you find them, uncheck the boxes to keep them from start to start, and then click OK. Reboot and messages should be gone.
If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.
Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here. A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.
I hope this helps. Keep me posted.
Good luck!

Pop Security Windows said ups 'unable to open these files. "
Original title: Pop ups Windows security
I use Windows 7 and I constantly get a message saying Windows security:
"Unable to open these files."
"Your internet security settings prevented one or more files being opened."
'C:\PROGRA~2\Java\JRE18-1.0_6\bin\ssvagent.exe '.
I don't know how to stop this message, I would appreciate it if you would help me.
This error seems to be a very old mistake of Java associated with Vista. I don't know why you should get it now with Windows 7.
Start by going here to ensure that you have the latest version of Java and have removed all previous versions--> http://java.com/en/download/installed8.jsp
If this does not help, remove all versions of Java--> http://java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml
Restart the computer and then download and install the latest version.

The pop ups were not on the old system and seems attached to some site I open, opening multi-site. I might have to stop usingFfirefox, if this is not fixed.
Hello jgibbs99, you could get deceived by a malicious Web site by downloading a fake update - a true firefox update will contain never this kind of noise you describe! Furthermore updates are managed in-house by firefox if you are asked to download and run a .exe file to update to firefox, it will be false (you can manually check the updates in firefox by going to firefox > help > about firefox).
Please, try the following steps:
- Reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
- then go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or of potentially unwanted software there (sort the programs installed for their installation date to see what he got recently installed).
- Finally, run a full scan of your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

Get pop ups at the bottom of the page. How can I get rid of them?
I started having these pop ups at the bottom of my screen. When the mouse passes over them, it is said, they are of betterbrowser.net/review #ata. One of the reasons I use and recommend to others for your sites, it is very little pop ups and advertising does not hinder the Web site research lately same sites I routinely are inundated with pop join us this use is it to the point that I'm seriously think looking for a new browser and exit Firefox and remove it from my phone in recent times , I can't even sync one more by the way, also, do not use it it on my computers in the Organization, your answer to these questions forward to a resolution
Thank you for your time

As mentioned in my question that just started happening recently. I click on a link in the email or on a website and I have pop-ups. They leave looking like firefox popups - but they are not. Some are for games - others give a list of web sites to search for the object that I clicked on. It is extremely annoying! What should I do to stop this?
It seems that your computer may be infected by some kind of virus / Malware.
I suggest the following resources:
My Firefox problem a result of Malware is an article from the Mozilla Support with some good advice to avoid and fight against malware.
To verify that your system is clean, perform the following steps (no official Mozilla tips, just good practices of personal experience)
Download and install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full scan. http://www.Malwarebytes.org/
Download and launch TDSSKiller http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363
Download, install and run Microsoft Security Essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials (no not official approval, but I personally recommend MSE as a great permanent anti-virus)
Check all Windows updates.
