See the Null value in the measures

I need to create a report using the SAP BW query.
I have columns project, task, level and Hrs (measure)

Project-> task-> level-> Hrs (measure)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
one-> a.1-> 1-> null (no value)
-> a.2-> 2-> null (no value)
-------------> a.3 ----------------> 3 --------> 300
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Task" is the structure of distribution, a.1, a.2 are level relative to a.3.

As we can see the 'h' is the total (cumulative) of the 'Project' = 'a '. When a.3 for value but a.2, obtained a.1 null.

I can see null values in BEx (Business Explorer, SAP BW) report but not in OBIEE report.

In short, we can display null values in action.

Hope I explained it correctly.

Please, help me in this regard.

PS the reason why you see the values all here when you have only dimensions, but then they disappear when you've done is because of the way the request is generated. OBIEE don't happen in the fact table to what you actually shoot a column of the table of facts in your report. Once you do this, the generated SQL code using an inner join and causes dimensional Records label.

  • VMFS does not see the measuring devices?

    I ran into a problem with my ESX 4 deployment.  Recently, I expanded the size of a LUN in my SAN so that I could extend the data store associated with this volume.  The data store recognizes the new 300 GB size (image vmfs_prop), however, I'm not presented with options for a measuring device when I try to 'increase the ability to data store' (image vmfs_increase).  I've also updated the filter of vmfs in options advanced thinking that LUN was already associated with the data store and may have been filtered (image vmfs_filter).  Any advice?

    What I meant with "connect directly to the host ESX (i)" has been to connect by using the vSphere Client. Generally, you don't need to use the command line. Have you tried that before the more command line data store? It does not work?

  • where clause to see if they contain the null value

    So I've finalized my function but now am having some problems:

    the bl field (or the v_bl parameter) has null values in it. When I run the function using the "Select FH ('ACCESS', NULL, 8675309') From dual; I get a NULL return value because it uses the variable to compare with q.bl and you can not have q.bl = null in a Where clause.

    The main problem is when the parameters are passed, a line can have the same prob and site, but the bl might be different as null, which would give a different lname.

    In where clause I need to have something that will compare the parameter with the bl field. Sometimes it's null sometimes is not, but we need to find the line concerned. I made the "BOLD" in the question police

    Here are two possible lines in the data
    prob bl site lname
    ACCESS Smith 8675309 (null)
    54321 8675309 Johnson ACCESS

    so in theory, if the function is called with the parameters FH ('ACCESS', NULL, 8675306')
    He would return the lname: Smith

    and conversely FH ("ACCESS", "54321 ', 8675309") would return Johnson

    Here's the function

    create or replace
    Function FH
    (v_prob IN varchar2, v_bl IN varchar2, v_site IN varchar2)
    RETURN varchar2
    AS
    v_lname varchar2 (16);

    BEGIN

    S.Lname SELECT INTO v_lname
    Of
    request q
    JOIN THE
    s response
    On
    (q.order = s.order)

    WHERE
    q.BL = v_bl AND - where it is
    q.site = v_site AND
    q.prob = v_prob AND
    s.Lname IS NOT NULL;

    RETURN v_lname;
    END;

    -When I run the FH ('ACCESS', NULL,' 86753) function, it returns an empty value and not the family name

    Matches the NULL value
    (1) either you have to say-> q.bl IS NULL
    OR
    (2) WHERE the NVL (q.bl-99) = NVL (v_bl-99) - this will be true if q.bl and v_bl both are NULL
    NULL = NULL evaluates to TRUE, so you use NVL

  • How to convert the Null value to 0 after the outer join?

    Hello guys

    My requirement is in fact 2 of outer join tables (that's how), and I got the outer join works very well, so in my report, I have values null of measures in another table of facts as a result of the outer join...

    Is there a way I can convert these nulls to 0?

    I realized that the null value is not stored in the table, it is just following the outer join because the NULL do not match records in other... So by default, I'm expected to get NULL values...

    Is there way to present these nulls to 0?

    Thanks a lot for your advice

    In response, the syntax will be:

    IFNULL (, 0)

  • NULL values for some elements of the XML reading tree

    I am confirming that I interpret correctly all the elements of a custom data XML structure defined by my application (the schema is completely under my control).  Some of the elements in my XML tree are read as NULL values, even if similar items are readind as expected.  I have checked some obvious things like misspelling the names of keys, but have not yet find the problem.  Anyone who has debugged similar questions - what else could cause this?

    Example XML:

        1.0.0.0
        1000
        MyAppsName

                1000
                userDefined
                StructName

    And extracted C++ w/comments at the end of each line about what I see (DataManager is my class of CRUD operations):

    In DataManager.hpp:

    QVariant mCustomDataStructsTopLevel;
    QVariantMap mCustomDataStructsTopLevelMap;

    In DataManager.cpp:

    mCustomDataStructsTopLevel = mXda.load(Utils::dataFilePath(customDataStructsFileName));  // XmlDataAccess; verified loading w/no errors
    mCustomDataStructsTopLevelMap = mCustomDataStructsTopLevel.toMap();

    qDebug() << "appName element value: " << mCustomDataStructsTopLevelMap["appName"]; // Outputs "MyAppsName" as expected
    qDebug() << "lastId element value: " << mCustomDataStructsTopLevelMap["lastId"]; // Outputs null (specifically: QVariant(, ) ) - this is NOT expected
    qDebug() << "appVersion element value: " << mCustomDataStructsTopLevelMap["appVersion"]; // Outputs null (specifically: QVariant(QString, "") )  - this is NOT expected

    OK, I got the feeling (and actually hoped) it was a silly mistake of face-palm on my part (compared to a problem of BB10 who had little chance of getting fixed).

    The problem is that I copy the structure of custom data from Starter to my Active dir to my data directory to first install but do not crush him on subsequent launches, as the copy in the data directory is what the user changes and relies on.  I was not a delete and reinstall on each of my iterations, so I wasn't really loading the modified versions of my XML I wanted--just, I was getting a day old stale version which was actually for the items I didn't expect NULL values for nulls.  DOH!

  • PersistentStore.getPersistentObject returns the null value?

    I use a random key to retrieve a shape of the object PersistentStore

  • How to reset the value of a list of entry of null values

    Hello

    Jdev 12.1.3.0

    How to reset the value of a list of entry of null values

    Thank you

    AR

    Place this code in your ViewRowImpl (base) class and use it when you need to reset _all attributes applied by LOV

    @Cvele: in fact, this will happen "by design" when you set the attribute which has attached lov to null, so there is no need of additional code.

    My previous answer is more related to this approach:

    DCBindingContainer bindings = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding iterator = bindings.findIteratorBinding("IteratorName");
    Row r = iterator.getCurrentRow();
    r.setAttribute("SomeAttrib", null);

    The requirement now is if the select statement does not return a value any with the input given then output parameter should see NULL values instead of no line at all.

  • test for the null value to IN request (null, 'a ', ' b', 'c')

    Hello

    Oracle 10.2.0.4

    I think the following query is incorrect, in my opinion. (there is an index on the collar, but NULL values are ignored?

    SELECT COUNT (*) < table > where col in (null, 'a ', ' b', 'c')

    It works (no errors) and forth fast enough.

    However, I think the correct query would

    SELECT COUNT (*) < table > where IS NULL or neck neck ('a', 'b', 'c')

    It takes a lot of time. As I see it, he performs a table scan for part of the value NULL and use the index for the rest, as the index cannot be used for NULL values.

    I would appreicate an explanation on this matter, particularly why Oracle accepts the first query "where col in (null, 'a ', ' b', 'c')" without any problem.

    Thank you

    A null value is not equal to what whatsoever, not even another null value. This is consistent with the definition of the ANSI. For your first request is not what you think it does, even if it is not syntactically incorrect.

    The second query is correct. If you want to use an index, you must create a bitmap index (which requires Enterprise Edition licenses), because they do not include the values NULL, unlike B * tree index.

    Thanks for your help.

    Okay - not sure then. On a new blank page I can have processes assign a value to the session state from the element and the element will have this value when the page is rendered (at least with this type of source). Work of dynamic actions. As I expect. I don't know what happens next 'unfair '.

    I'll only come back tomorrow, but here are a few tips:

    • create a workspace on apex.oracle.com and upload your page there. Share of the developer credentials and the name of workspace with us. In this way may inspect and do not need to do the back and forth until we reached something special we both lost from view.
    • When the page is loaded and you hit the session in the developer toolbar, what is the State of P31_TEST? Is it worth?
    • try to run the page in debug and see if you can spot something happens with the session state from P31_TEST - maybe you'll come across something
  • NULL value in the print result

    I run a SELECT statement on the form below:

    SELECT col1 |' | ' || col2 |' | ' || COL3

    TABLE;

    It gives me the following outprint, which is what I need

    col1 | col2. col3

    VARCHAR2. number | VARCHAR2

    The problem is when col2 returns a NULL value, then I get this:

    VARCHAR2. VARCHAR2

    When what I want is this:

    VARCHAR2. (null) | VARCHAR2

    Is it possible to get my results of the query to print the value NULL (null)?

    I tried the function NVL NVL (col2, 'null'), but it won't work because there is a mismatch on data types. I can get the NULL value, printed by concatenating don't not columns and save results to csv, but that does not give me the formatting that I want.

    You can convert the character number column, and then look for the NVL.

    See below:

    with data as
    (
      select 'col1' col1, 1 col2, 'col3' col3 from dual union all
      select 'col1' col1, null col2, 'col3' col3 from dual
    )
    select col1 || '|' || nvl(to_char(col2), 'null') || '|' || col3
      from data;

    COL1||'|'||NVL(TO_CHAR(COL2),'NULL')||'|'||COL3
    --------------------------------------------------
    col1|1|col3
    col1|null|col3

  • Styling Null value in the column attributes

    I tend to the attributes of user input placeholder to display things like "Enter blah blah blah". Then I use the attributes of color CSS placeholder the placeholder with a value lighter than the normal entrance to style text. If the placeholder is paler than normal text entry.

    I would like to DISPLAY NULL VALUE text style that I provide to select LOV is in the same color. For a line given in table format placeholders and select LOV NULL DISPLAY VALUES are consistent.

    Someone knows how to do?

    For example, if I had a list of report selection. And I used a NULL DISPLAY VALUE of 'State of entry', I might have a # 444 color when "Enter State" is displayed and a #bbb color when you see "Georgia."

    I tried including the HTML to the NULL VALUE. Put something like a DISPLAY NULL VALUE < span class = "plus-couleur" > </span > state entry. That did not work.

    Thank you.

  • Return the first line with a non-null value in a column

    Hey there, gurus. Can someone give me a hand with this?

    I have a table with six columns: Class_ID, Course_ID, start_date, Last_Name, First_Name, company. When our students take a class and will fill in an evaluation form, they fill in the Class_ID Last_Name First_Name, and Company. The Course_ID and Start_Date are filled automatically based on the Class_ID.

    I am trying to generate a report that contains Class_ID, Course_ID and Start_Date, PLUS the value of the first not null in the column of company for a combination given to the three first columns. Here is my SQL that does not quite do the trick:

    Select distinct c.class_id, c.course_id, c.start_date, p.company
    class c, person p, student s
    where substr (c.course_id, 1, 3) = "OBI".
    and c.start_date > = SYSDATE-30
    and c.class_id = s.class_id
    and s.pid = p.pid
    order start_date, company, class_id, course_id

    At present, if in a given class, a student entered "CCCC" under the name of the company and another entry "Collin Co Comm Coll" and another between "Collin College", I would get three rows of this class when you use the SQL above. I want just one line. I don't really like which company names gets selected - one of them will be great for our needs. I just need to see a line for each class_id and single value that some students entered the area of the company. And I guess I have to say that if no student fills in the name of the company I need to see the value null, because I need to see the line no matter what.

    Looks like some sort of funky outer join or a coalesce, but it is beyond my ability to understand.

    Now I get this:
    During class 1234 SQL271 Date 22/07/2013 company XYZ Inc.
    Made up of class 1234 SQL271 Date 22/07/2013 company XYZ
    1234 SQL271 Date 22/07/2013 company XYZ, class

    What I want:
    Class 1234 SQL271 22/07/2013 Date course XYZ Inc. or one of the other 2

    Thanks in advance!
    select c.class_id, c.course_id, c.start_date, max(p.company) company
    from class c, person p, student s
    where substr(c.course_id,1,3) = 'OBI'
    and c.start_date >= SYSDATE-30
    and c.class_id = s.class_id
    and s.pid = p.pid
