  My requirement is to allow the user to select a fixed number of values using the SelectManyShuttle component only.

  Suppose if I have 10 available values in the left part of the element of the shuttle, I should allow the user to shuttle only three values on the right.

  In the image below, I already have 3 employees. Now the user should not be able to select employees more.

  There are different strategies how to implement this. The easiest will be to check the size of the selected list when the user cklicks the button finished. If the number is larger that the size limit display you an error message.

  Another way would be to use a valueChangeListener and the listener, check the size of the new value and add the tonthe size from the size of the already selected list. Then display an error message.

  Is there a method to find the number of characters that can fit in a field label or a BasicEditField for a particular font.  Font.getAdvance (str) gives the width in pixels.   Based on the width of the screen, I want to calculate the length of the label field number that is, characters that it can take.

  Well, I did a deeper look at your code. It is a way to walk around a division, true.

  But why not work with integer values?

• Do city and State fields on the region required address

  For the region of the address when creating a client if we do not enter city, State, and County, we get an error message saying ' Please enter the elements of the desired address: STATE, COUNTY, CITY '. But there is no * to these fields, even if they are needed. I have a requirement to add * in front of the city and the State of the fields and make the field count as not required. I am not able to do it through customization.
  The style of address is a point flex which alludes to HzPuiLocationVO in the region of HzPuiAddressCreateUpdate. I'm not finding a way to update these help please!

  If a page has Flex point means fields come either de FACTO or KFF. In your case fileds are Addredd and the city, so a FDF. In the FDF, these fields may be required.

  Add "*" mark you must extend the controller and in processRequest to get the handle to bean filed. And set the required property to true or false depending on the needs.

  Example code:

  OAMessageTextInputBean tempBean = (OAMessageTextInputBean) webBean.findChildRecursive ("beanId");
  tempBean.setRequired ("yes");

  I use jDeveloper 12.1.2

  I have a login page with name, password selection and the language of the user (component SelectOneChoice - soc1). I have a value change listener in the field of languages selectonechoice which will set the locale to the newly selected language. I put partial triggers on the name field and the password of the user for soc1. It comes to make the labels the user name and password appear in the selected language. This makes the password field if necessary even if there is value in the field. I also noticed that this occurs only when the language is other than English.

  My lines jsff for the user name, password, and language are-

  I think you are missing immediate = "true" in the selectOneChoice.

  • I have a set of option buttons.  When the 'B' button is selected, I need the field text "T" to become "required".  If the user changes her mind and chooses another button or the form is reset to the "T" field does not show being "necessary".
  • The form also has a set of check boxes that, once again, when 'C' is checked, I need 'F' text field to become "mandatory" (or not if the box is unchecked).

  I have a simple page ADF that I dragged a field 'ADF select one choice' on. There a LOV tied to it. I've defined the field as required and given a message required to show. The question that this field shows it right when I save the record... and also not display any message or don't turn red. I was able to save the tgo record only the database field is filled in... I assumed that since I put the required field in the property inspector, he wouldn't store a blank field.
  
  When I changed this area to a list of raising entry, then it behaved as expected.
  
  Is this a bug with Jdeveloper... or just a bug with the developer (me) :).
  
  I use the 11.1.1.3.o version.

• How can I customize the template of Contacts to include the fields of my choice?

  I have my contacts in an excel file and intend to import contacts into a CSV file. No problem. But Contacts model uses a lot of fields I don't need (such as Pager) and I see no way to customize more compared to what I need.  I want change, not the mapping of the fields to the options in the default template. In Contacts, in the view drop-down list, choose the folder to view the details. The selection becomes a column header and can be used as a filter. It seems to be more than 100 selections.  How to use these matach to a field in the Contact model? Example: 'Product name' is one of the details (column header) I choose, but there is no corresponding information in the Contact model, 'Product name' isn't one of the choices when mapping fields during import.

  For fields that are set up to use the lists of multiple selections and can have many values added to the field, which is the maximum number of characters that the field can contain? And, if a field hit the max, will we ever know?

  Hi bmherr,

  Small text fields have a maximum of 100 characters, while the large text fields supports up to 32,000 characters.  For multiple-selection list text fields, the limit is 1000 characters.  For data cards (Custom Data Objects): 250 for small text fields and 32,000 for great text.

  No, it won't show error, and only the first 1000 only characters will be stored in eloqua!

• Hide the drop-down list when you print only when "PLEASE SELECT" is selected (unused field).

  Our form has several drop-down lists that by default the option "Choose", and not all of them are used whenever the form is used.  When we print a copy of each document, we would like the (unused) field "Choose" to disappear when printing - to make a copy of paper filter.  Is there a script for this?  I tried to use only the general framework ' Visible but does not print ", but of course, the field prints any - we need to print only when there was one another option as the default"Select"is selected.  Thanks in advance for your help.

  You can use a custom validation script, something like:

  Event.Target.Display = event.value = "choose"? display.noPrint: display.visible;

  To put this into effect, you will need to make a different choice and place it back to "choose." Another option would be to place as a custom Format script.
