Select and copy in the pdf file

The security settings of the file, I see that the pdf author has enabled the copy, but I can't choose and copy. How can I do?

A sweep is essentially an image; You cannot select all (or part) text on the subject.

The only way to get the text from a scanned image must deal with text recognition (OCR), which is available in Acrobat or Adobe PDF Pack service.

  • contents of the copy of the PDF file generated using Pagemaker 6.5C

My colleague has generated a set of PDF files generated using Pagemaker 6.5C (Mac version).

Now I want to copy the contents of PDF files (many Chinese words).

How can not highlighted all Chinese characters, when I tried to copy them.

Although I can highlight most of Chinese characters, I got a lot of weird as sighs "#!" "$#" but not original content.

You say please what can I do to get the Chinese characters copied (100%)?

    Thank you very much!

You need the exact fonts of your colleague, and even in this case, it may not work if they subset fonts in the pdf file. Your best bet is to get your colleague to copy the text for you in a format that you can use, but even in this case, you will need the fonts, pagemaker is rather limited in the fonts that can be used and required a lot of special fonts in order to work.

  • Preventive action copy of the pdf file

    Hello

I created a PDF book for students.

Students get the book on my site.

The student can enter the answers to homework in the book and send it to the teacher.

On the first page, it enters:

    -email for teachers

    -name of teachers

    -Student e-mail

    -names of the students

    and saves the pdf file

with thees fields the book knows where to send responses

The teacher can then refer the rank.

    All work with FDF files.

I need to warn students to simply copy the book and do not buy it?

What is the way to do this?

    Thank you.

    Dan

    There is absolutely no way.

You may want to consider DRM (Digital Rights Management), but this is likely to be off-budget. DRM does not stop a file to be copied, but retains the copy useless.

Probably the best solution is to consider a server solution to stamp the student's name in the book. But who will probably not stop most of them.

  • How do I access check properties after I've already saved the pdf file in Acrobat Pro ms?

I did a form of a Word document that contains check boxes and text fields.  Acrobat read many but not all of the boxes in the Word document as radio buttons so I changed the check boxes.  When I select them I get a check mark.  The checkboxes that Acrobat originally created to display the box when selected.  I saved the pdf file.  Is there a way to get check box properties menu I can change the boxes to check marks or what I have to start from the new original Word document?

    Hi maclover813 ,

shoul you can edit each element of single form in Acrobat Pro ms: right click on the element you want to change and modify the properties you want.

You can select multiple items at once by clicking the element while holding down the Ctrl/Strg key on the keyboard.

  • 33.1 FireFox will not display the PDF file from the website of the Bank after 33.1

I asked this question in a non-support ticket so I want to give more details here. I tried to uninstall Adobe reader and reinstall and it did not help. It worked before with all the exact same addins I had before. I called the Bank and asked if they had any problems and they say no. I can go to the Firefox PDF display for this file and click Download the PDF file, then double-click it in Windows Explorer and Adobe reader appears and displays the file very well. Don't mind what to do at the moment. What happens is the Bank to load the file then Adobe reader opens with a white screen and a small circle going round and round, like a video trying to play, and it is just there for always. I never see the content of the file. In any case I hope that your have a good of a day as I am and I know that it improves. Thanks Firefox programmers for such a wonderful program.

Update: while I was writing this I thought to go in Firefox options, then Applications, and wouldn't you know, a PDF document has been set to "Preview in Firefox. I changed that to Adobe reader and now it works fine. Suppose that there is something wrong with the code in Firefox. So I'm happy now. Hope this helps someone.

Yes, the built-in PDF Viewer is a work in progress. Glad you found a workaround, or go to your favorite configuration, depending on how you look.

  • Download the PDF file in mode full screen

How to download a PDF file to view it full screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader 11?

On my Windows 7 computer using IE 11, I can do first passage in full screen on the page with the download link.

    See http://www.davispicturesandpoems.co.UK/pictures/9627909.html

Then I click on the download link. When the PDF downloads in a new window using CTRL + L. The images in the PDF file now display without no title bar - like I need (this can be displayed by moving the slider to the top of the screen).

My problem is that when I tried this on the computer of my daughter who also use IE 11 and Windows 7, the title bar was always available (I don't know which version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, she installed).

Is what I do make sense?

And why two computers behave differently?

    Help appreciated.

    David

    Hi davwilli,

I can see in the screenshot above, you open the PDF in internet explore and not in the Adobe Reader software.

So, I would recommend you right click on the download link on the Web page you have above comment and choose the option "save target under" and then once the pdf file is downloaded and saved on your system, you can open it in Adobe Reader and then use the option full screen.

    Kind regards

  • Clicking on pdf in Windows opens Adobe but not the pdf file

I know it sounds like a minor annoyance, but it is a problem with Acrobat 11 in my main image. QA sign on my image until this is resolved. When my users launch a pdf from their local machine for the first time Acrobat opens but the pdf file does not work. Just close Acrobat and clicking on the pdf file again resolves the problem. These seems to be just a first question. Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

It is windows 7 x 64 with Adobe Acrobat Standard XI.

Working with AA 11.0.0, or did you update? The updates may resolve the problem if they were not made, particularly on a 64-bit computer.

  • 'Reader' will only display a PDF file for a second, then here down the PDF file.

I recently had an automatic update "Reader" and now "Reader" will only display a PDF file for about a second and then closes the PDF file.  This happens to all PDF documents any what scource.  I am running Windows 7.  What should I do to correct the situation.  (Yes - I've removed the "reader" of my computer, re-installed it.)  Did not help).

    Access to 11 C/programs/Adobe/Reader / player.

Looking for a file named eula.exe (or just eula).

    Double click on it.

Drive should work fine from there.

  • PDF files: How can you save a file so that you can select and copy some text?

I have some difficulty to save PDF files in photoshop.

I saved a handful of PDF files, but I am only able to select and copy the text in some areas. These files have different areas that contain text. You are able to highlight a part of the text, but in other areas, you can not (even if they have the same font).

The question is, which gives the text the ability to be selected and copied during registration as a PDF document?

    Including...

Using BOLD, ITALICS or ALL uppercase in the settings of character disables the ability to highlight and copy the text once the file is saved in PDF format.

    Hi Steve Whipple.

This link (Acrobat Help |) Import and export comments ) seems relevant to your query. Please let me know if it allows you to export xfdf file comments.

  • Export from InDesign to PDF and the PDF file last updated is greater than one month and not easily print on letter paper is PDF presets?

    Hello

I export from InDesign to PDF page is larger in the PDF file, and others I exported. This is because of the present PDF? One of the project managers is not able to print on 8.5 "x 11", but the InDesign document presets are the same as before. I wish I could download PDFs to show, but the newly exported PDF is greater than the version I created a month ago. I created a PDF file and the newly updated PDF file is almost un.5 inch wider with the export presets even. Any thoughts?

I suspect the project manager has his copy of Reader/Acrobat simply set to print full size, rather than "Worthy" (assuming that the size of InDesign pages is truly 8.5 x 11).

.. the newly updated PDF file is almost un.5 inch wider with the same export presets.

This has nothing to do with export presets. How did determine you this difference of half inch?

  • How to decrease the size of the PDF file without reducing the quality and links?

How to decrease the size of the PDF file without reducing the quality and links?

    Michael and Phil,

Your ability to reduce the file without diminishing its quality depends on the quality required for their intended use. If these are intended for viewing on screen, then high resolution pictures can be re sampled or changing the resolution without real change is the quality, as long as the user can say. Number of files use subsets of fonts or the incorporations of fonts. Sometimes you can remove subsets of fonts or embedding the fonts if the font will be on the user's system. Subsets of fonts can save space, but if the pdf is a result of several different sources, desincorporation policies and incorporating a copy of the policy can save space.

Honestly, the size of 2 MB file is not the problem it once was. However, maybe the pdf not by e-mail at all. There are players on a server as well as a link sent to each user.

  • I click on the .pdf files and do not open or download... anyone have any ideas? MAC 10.6.8 Firefox 12.0

I went on a site and downloaded a .pdf file. The next day I updated firefox and when I went to the same spot later in the day, I clicked the .pdf and it didn't download or open. I use firefox 12.0 and mac 10.6.8

I found a recommendation in another thread:

If you are using a Mac, go to the Firefox Plugins and disable the plugin Adobe Acrobat NPAPI, Version 10.1.3. This is a recent update of the plugin, and as soon as it was installed, I noticed that the PDF files would not download.

  • Once I updated to Firefox 11, I can't open the pdf files. It's more the computer, snow leopard and lion and more than one Web site.

I've updated to Firefox 11 and now I can't open the PDFs Online. This has happened on more than 1 computer, using the two OS 10.6.8 and OS 7.0 and on more than one Web site. I tried to uncheck "block pop-up windows" in preferences, but which did not help.
When I use Safari to open the same file to pdf, they open fine. Everything worked fine with my Firefox until I did the upgrade.

I prefer to continue to use Firefox, but I can't understand the root of the problem.

Has anyone else had this happen as well?

Thank you, gentlemen, to find a "solution" to this particular behavior of Firefox. It is really curious that even if the screen is blank, you can indeed save the .pdf Ghost and then open the saved file to view. What is amazing to me is that this issue does not seem to be what makes the hit parade of the problems currently experienced Mozilla. Not everyone will be willing to do a research project extended rather than leave the ship for Safari, etc..

  • Office Jet 8500 a makes a scan of document, converts and saves the PDF file, but the PDF file does not open

My new Office Jet 8500 (A910-G) seems to correctly perform a scan to PDF, but the PDF file does not open, gives me the error message "the selected document cannot be opened" in PDF Complete.

I agree that it's a software because it works well with Adobe Acrobat.  It's just PDF Complete (which was free with my HP computer) does not work!
