  Having defined with function of the Dene session state, you can refresh the table to help:

  apex_RefreshChart ($v ('pFlowStepId'), $v('Pxx_REGION_ID').substr (1), navigator.language);

  PXX_REGION_ID is the ID of the region of the chart area. You can set that in the bottom of the region to help;

  $s ("Pxx_REGION_ID", "#REGION_ID #");

• NVL selection list does not not on the place where clause in query

  Ok. APEX 4.2...

  Im having problems with my selection lists and NULL values... I see that it has come time and time again...

  I have a tabular presentation, with a query based on a selection list.  The selection list has the ability to '- Show All -'... The value of the selection list is a number, and the display is words...  (for reference the LOV query is: select status, batch from pmt_stat_lookup by 1)

  Initially I had problems with null and invalid numbers like ' display Null = 'Yes' and the problem of null % ', so have used the code in this blog to remove the NULL values... Display Null = & amp; #34; Yes & amp; #34; and the problem of null % | Inside Oracle APEX by Patrick Wolf

  Then in the application of my report, I have a where clause clause that checks the value of the selection list... WHERE batch = nvl(:P11_STATUS_SELECT,STATUS_ID)

  everything works almost fine, and I can choose a status, or I choose - see the All-, but the query will not include the lines where the State is null.

  (I also see that maybe I should be, use the case statement instead of the NVL on where clause, but not sure of the syntax. In addition, NVL was used somewhat in the different reports in the application...)

  Edit the element... There is a Readonly tab... Enter the condition for readonly... for example... Suppose you have a hidden field P1_X for the primary key. To add the new record, this field will be null and for editting p1_x will have the primary key value...

  So you can make the condition as P1_X readonly IS not null...

• report of initialization does not not account selection list values

  I have a problem to understand the way in which apex treats the sequence of events.
  
  I have a little select lists and checkboxes, which stores the settings for a report) the sql is issued by a plsql stored procedure).
  The items in the lists change according to different users, and values from LOV (with sql). A go button to refresh the report if you change the settings.
  
  Although where the view, the report seems to be after the selection lists, the first time the report not displayed with the settings selected in the lists (the first elements), but rather the default values... even if they do not exist in the current list.
  When you press the Go button it appears correctly.
  
  I also tried to put the report with the conditional formatting, with a request for status = expr 1 (setting like name th button expr1 go)... but the report would never display.
  
  I'm sure there must be a simple explanation... but I can ' t find.

  The default was just an example, you can use the code you like in the query to make sure by default to the correct setting for the user. The point is that you (or rather business case) dictate how this default view should look like.

  You will need to fill in a few gaps for us here and tell us how each case should be handled (don't forget, we don't know anything about your precise needs other than that tell us;).

  I searched for the answer for a while now, but could not find a solution to my problem. It's a rather trivial issue, but after dealing with more urgent problems, I stuck with it and I can't move forward I use Apex 4.2.1

  OK, lets start with a description.

  I have two selection lists. After making a choice in the first, I would like to than the second value to change. It is not cascade LOV case, however, at least I don't.

  Let me give you an example. Suppose we have a table with name and default to the occupation.

  Name	By default occupancy
  John	Doctor
  Mark	Firefighter
  George	Firefighter
  Tom	Concierge

  End user first selects the name in the first list, then the occupation of another. It's perhaps not clearly in the example given, but the order of the questions.

  What I want is to force a change in the second value in the list after a choice in the first. So after the name is chosen, the occupation should switch to the default.

  The assignment is the most typical, but not the only one. So I want the end user to be able to change the occupation if necessary. Tom of sense is not to be janiotor, it can be whoever he wants this is why it is not cascade LOV problem.

  I tried with dynamic action - definition of value and then refresh. It works when the second selection list is the text field. I can't find a way to make it work with another selection list.

  What I wanted with display and return value, you usually have a list of selection like this query:

  SELECT occupation d, occp_id r

  OF professions

  If your return value is an identifier. To use the text as return value is rather rare. Where my question, because obviously you must select the return value in your query, NOT the display value.

  So let me explain what is a set value. It takes the value of the server by using your query and AJAX in the background, then uses Javascript to set the value of the item in the browser.

  At this point your selection list still has the OLD value in the session. Then, you do a refresh and the element uses the old value, and it seems that nothing happens.

  So solution:

  -clear default values, you don't need those

  -get rid of refresh it in your DA

  We have a requirement where we are looking to display the page as element select list or a free text field based on the value of the item to another page.

  Say, we have two fields

  If day = 'Monday' produced a drop in low field of another product would be a free text field.   Is this possible in APEX?

  This is the configuration I did.

  I used the field produced twice (as a text and list field select) as an element of a page., dependent on the value of the day I used the dynamic properties of actions to show/hide these fields.

  However, when I click on submit, it throws an error:

  You can have both share the same database column, the process of the APEX DML does not know how to consolidate.

  You will need to add a calculation and determine the real value based on two fields, up to an only one mapped to db.

  I don't know what are your exact needs. I mean why you need display the selected value?

  If you want to access the List select using JS, then the element should be available on the page. If it is already display the value to display for the user.

  That's what I wanted, but I am trying to add this script in page 0, I want it, it is available in all applications except page 1 where the select control is there and the "Execute when loading the page" you mentioned article is not available in page 0. Any idea?

  Create a dynamic action which will trigger the Page load and who will do the following JS code.

• The highlight in the selection list values

  I have a list of selection of a code that display additional values. Usually I would only code values where the obsolete_ind = "N" and limits the selection to these codes, but when a record is displayed with a code rendered obsolete once the record was initially created, I MUST allow display additional values. IIF, that I don't have, the first value in the list by default, and it seems that it is the current value, which is not true!
  So, I have 'show extra values', but I would like to avoid the registration of 'saved' by using the now obsolete value. Of course, a validation that will solve, but the user will not know who are the valid codes to select.
  Can specific values highlighted in red or something? If the tag selectlist < option value = "" > id has also been = "", a code for the dynamic action, but I do not see how to add this 'id' to the tag option. "
  Any suggestions?

  Some options that come to mind
  -use apex_item to build your selection list, the parameter cattributes allows you to easily add custom attributes to color some entries
  -Several times in the past, I've seen some old values of code marked with an asterisk, then users are educated to know that they are the older options and validation (browser or submit) it applied.
  -Having a display-only field that shows the current value and a selection list that offers only the current options
