Select Track forward tool / track Select tool backwards

I am a regular user of Premiere Pro do work more in hearing these days.  A tool I can't find at the hearing that I'm really bored of Premiere Pro is the way forward Selection tool / track select a tool towards the rear.  Is there something like this in hearing?  It's basically a slider that can select all items in a point forward (or back) on the timeline.  This makes it easy to move long projects with hundreds of clips, instead of zooming to drag - select all.

Practical example is changing a podcast of long hours with 100 cups.  Somewhere in the middle of the project, a second must be removed.  It would be nice to make the cut, then track select before selects the entire document from here, and then move to void the a second.

Thank you

JB

You have various tools under select on the menu Edition, including the Clips at the end of the track, Clips to start session and clips at the end of the Session. However for your instance to make a cut in the middle of a track, you must remove it from the ripple function with several options that made the cut and moves automatically to the top all clips to the right of the Cup to fill the void.

  • VMware Tools - backward compatibility

VMware tools are retro-compatible? Previous fixes and improvements I've seen in 3.5, I saw some differences in version and everything seems to work very well. If they are retro-compatible then could strengthen the tools to the version of vSphere on my VM 3.5. My upgrade process would be as follows:

    1. Network Config backup: netsh interface dump & gt; c:\ipconfig.txt

    2. Install vSphere VMtools on 3,5 VM. (How could I do this on a farm of 3.5?)
      Manually?)

    3. Turn off the virtual computer.

Mount the tools in a ramdom VM for the NEW ESX 4.0, while tools appears in the form of a disk, copy this content somewhere on your network.

Now your VM ESX 3.5 locate the network share and run the VM tools from there, voila!

    Yes, they are retro-compatible.

  • VMware-tools backward compatible? hosts of U4 3.5 and 3.5

I have 10 ESX host servers that were the base 3.5 install, I put 4 update on one or two guests at a time. I'll be quick vMotioning invited around (2 out of 10 are empty at the moment). My question is, when I VMotion over and update of vmware-tools on the guests, are there cautions I need to know?

I know that I can test it myself, in the short term, but there may be cases where a guest with update of vmware-tools will have to be postponed on a variety of pre - U4 and sat there for 48 to 72 hours and is a production environment.

Yes, they are compatible back. You can migrate the virtual machine to a host that is not U4 after upgrade vmware tools to release U4.

  • Keeping selected when you create a new layer of origin

Is it possible to "definitively" select a layer?

At the moment I just a single layer that I am trying to select a portion of and then new layer by cutting. Once this new layer is selected, I have to reselect the original layer before you replicate this process again.

On the one hand, this seems really minor, on the other hand, really Basic. I assume that there is an easy way to do what I'm overlooking. I need to replicate this process a few hundred times and work with / export sections is not conducive to my endgoal.

    possible?

Not a new layer will become the current target layer in Photoshop. It that way forever and a lot of things relies on this.  If this was changed it would brake a lot.  The best thing you could do is an action that would do what you want to do and make a shortcut you can use instead of "new layer via cut."  The action would simply make a new layer by cutting then the Alt + [Select layers backward step.

  • Track selection tool

Is it possible to make the track (forward) select default tool to the selection just a single track rather than the WHOLE?

I much prefer this way round, I often want to spend several individual tracks in a sequence, while leaving others in place. Considering that, given the lack of selection of all command and pressing a key change to tell him to select only a single track means (as I know) that there is no way then select (one) additional track (s) and then move these synchronized while leaving the rest in place.

It's an animation / VFX thing.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jaa_edit,

It's the little defect to the selection just a single track that is the key here.

Selection of individual tracks (with appropriate related selections) is not a problem. Selection of several of them without selecting all of them is.

(For example, just move V6, V5, and A1 and maintain those synchronized between them - but leaving V1-4 and A2-6 where they are currently)

It was before CC, by default. You can use the tool to select a single track, and then press and hold shift to select additional tracks. The default value is now that the tool selects all when you click with the mouse, or you hold SHIFT before clicking to select a single track.

Ok. I can see why it bothers you. I would file this bug/feature request here: http://adobe.ly/ReportBug I will also raise the issue with genius. For now, the locking of the tracks is workaround.

    Thank you

  • Problem with track tool select first Pro CC

    Dear people of first,

a strange thing happened on my new job of first CC. The track selection tool behaves oppsite to what you expect: by default, the function is multiselect and with depressed shift is just a track (single) select and displays the ToolTip under the sequence to the SHIFT to use as select multi track. Other tools work normally, CS6 normally CC also works, on the other workstation: same question.

I did some research on the web, but couldn't find anything useful.

    Anyone have any idea?

This is normal.  I find a useful change.  Most of the time I want to move a group of clips, I want to move them all Flickr pictures anyway.  This eliminates the modifier key to move most of the operations.

  • Several track Select tool - deselect a clip

On a Mac, I use the Selection tool to track with the SHIFT key to select multiple tracks at one time. It keeps selecting a clip more I want. How to deselect this clip and keep the other?

You can just switch to the tool selection and then SHIFT on the tracks you want to deselect.

Alternatively, you can use just the selection tool to drag a window through the clips/multitrack you want to select. However, you start to drag the selection window in the empty space before the the track otherwise you'll just simply move a clip.

  • Removal of the track selected with the Lasso (Q) tool

I am running the tool lasso through some ovals (diagram below), and I want to just delete these forms that I run the lasso tool, however, seems Lasso to select anything within its space tent 'bridge '.

(I understand his choice of anchors in this form). Is it possible to choose the oval shapes only (fast) it seems that I must now select them individually (like a bird with crumbs).

This is the direction of drag lasso

This is the result of the selection of this movement of lasso.

    lasso2.jpg

    I use illustrator CS6 Version 16

    BlueFire,

I fear this is how it works (imagine your movement (part of) the lasso loop).

For your purpose, you can better off ShiftClicking/ShiftClickDragging with the selection direct tool, hold Alt/Option If you want to catch all paths.

  • CC of the body hangs when the track Selection tool

He is probaby the most weird bug I've met so far - power works - I can scub, play and adjust images, apply effects, titles and time remapping, but when I select tool select Treack and click on the timeline, Premiere Pro crashes.

Maybe you could try and do a new CC, new sequence as the other project and import the images even in the new. It is perhaps a matter of "import old project in new version?

  • Block background image control

I have a digital control placed on top of a background image. Initially it worked fine. But after I reorganize the program, I found that the image has blocked control. If the control is in the border of the image, I can't change. If the control is out of the scope of the picture, I change it. How can I fix it? LabVIEW 8.6

    Ryan

Looks like you just need to rearrange things.  Select the control, and then select move forward.

Alternatively, you can select the background image and select move backward.

  • Web page with jquery accordion not collapsed

I inserted an Accordion widget JQuery with a sign. But at the opening of the page web, the Panel is always open. Want the Panel to be reduced until the user clicks on the control panel to open. I have the folding option selected in the properties panel.

    See jQuery UI Documentation

    https://jQueryUI.com/accordion/#collapsible

"By default, accordion always keep an open section.

Set it to allow all layers be foldable, collapsible true option. »

    API documentation:

    What Panel is currently open.

    Several types of support:

    • Boolean: setting active to false will collapse all the panels. This requires the collapsible option to be true .
    • Integer: the zero-based index of the Panel which is active (open). A negative value selects panels backwards from the last Panel.

  • I have two questions that I need help.

The first is that I can not use Ctrl alt Z to take a step back.  I have to go to the Edit menu and select not backward.  The second question I have is with the groups break.  I'm trying to place an image inside the text.  The image layer above the text layer and is selected.  I click alt and hold it down, I move my cursor between the layer of the image and the text layer, instead of Figure 8, double circle thingy that I'm supposed to see I see a box with an arrow pointing downwards.  I click and nothing happens.  I can still see the image and the text below the image, partly hidden by the image, but the image is not inside the text.

  • More question of the duration of the video/Audio output

NOTE: (Sync = Sync, however spelt).

    Hello

I had a problem with almost all Blu - ray discs in yet that I've only just noticed (my friend at work identified for me). If I say a disc with 4 videos of each to 20mins each (just for example), it seems at least video tracks suffer from this problem as listed below:

    The problem:

The video and audio are out of sync over another, or so it appears on the surface, after looking for a solution to this problem myself or generally to research what was going on, I noticed tracks begin as usual but that I tested it myself (as the worst for bugs ironically) appeared what was going on. The video track, I checked was around 25mins (and x number of seconds) just by browsing the disc but I noticed the stream BD was a time of 32minutes game, clearly 7minutes longer than the original source file, then why is it? Well, after an hour or 2 of re - look at the content, I noticed this video track sometimes looping backwards (just one time) in seconds, so when playing for example, video and audio popular lets say 03:57 play time and then the video will be back jump for example 03:46 while the audio continues to play in what should be normal. Even then seems to keep the entire video so the tracks are not overwrite the original but in addition to the track that extends the length of the video.

That has not been explained probably well so in short, the video seems to go back a few seconds during playback (when the product) while the audio continues on normally, not only put the tracks out of sync and extend the video length of 25mins to 32.

Apparently this has been consistent in just about every disc I've done, it is common only in one of the video tracks although some what happened to it most.

The job well files source before entering again, I usually have them in mp4 because I have always worked with mp4 to work and it is easier for this kind of stuff (for me personally), they have the same parameter coded before entering again and then in again. The source of the videos play fine before never be affected by the recall and have no problem.

Seems to be something happening on the output Ecore.

Any idea what could be the cause? Although I doubt it has much to do with the encoding in all encoding settings are by default (if I remember correctly).

I have practically lost over 30 discs BD on it now without realizing and could be much more if I had not noticed, could really do with help here as im stuck in what could cause video to not only jumpback once track from time to time but create 7mins extra video length making of the thought.

This could be a problem of variable capture frame rate. First like either variable frame rates. Good luck.

  • cheap sound card problems?

Hello, I have a few problems with the hearing, which I'm trying to fix. but ordered a decent sound card and thought rather than start looking for settings and the remedies of software in the forums, I would see if you think my problems are simply down to me using a cheap card. I hope that during the installation of these will disappear from questions, but if they are not, is there anything else I can do to improve things? IM interested to know what you think:

    1. Once finished recording, the track is always just a little out of time against everything I was recording on the other hand, and I have to drag and drop each track very slightly backward in time. It happened with 1.5 and 3.0, im used to IT... but its boring.

    2. (this only happens with 3.0), if im a long track (more than 5 minutes), reading from time to time registration will be stutter for a fraction of a second, which is very annoying, coz it means something registration after that this point is out of time, and it needs re-doing, ARGH!

3 vst, such as guitar rig/amplitude work well, but as soon as I use them on several tracks, I can't even read. It's just a waste of stuttering. (it's more frustrating because I can't even blag through it, the only way to preview the vst sounds is to mix the whole project and listen back - Yes, VERY annoying).

That's close enough, and a proposal, I would say that his problems of latency on each case. I'd like any comment on this if possible, but above all, do you think these 3 numbers are attributable to a bad sound card? or is it something I need to set up in the settings?

I use xp, fast pc with the beast of a gfx card and plenty of ram.

    Thank you guys.

PS. sound card is a realtek ac97 onboard, I think that all the necessary drivers are present.

Yes, it could easily all be down to your Realtek. To start, you need Windows drivers, and that increases the latency time. If you get a decent sound device, then you can use its low-latency ASIO drivers and you'll probably find that you synchronize the problems disappear. Experiment with the settings memory buffer ASIO and your new device should optimize its performance in terms of drop-outs, I think. Hearing still works much better with decent sound devices.
