  • CC 2015 tool of work plan: overview of tuning fork, moving or duplicating

    With the release of 2015 CC, scaling, displacement or duplication is more than a work plan with the work plan tool seems to have a live preview. This lack results now massive conjecture (try, mess up, cancel, repeat) when you try to reposition or plans of work in double using the tool.

    To reproduce:

    1. Select the work plan tool
    2. by dragging a control, is the scale on the artboard a transparent overview of the new size?
    3. move the Board graphics and do drag, is there a transparent overview?
    4. duplicate the artboard with Shift + Alt + do drag, is there a transparent overview?

    CC for 2014 and earlier had the preview. y at - it a preference that was disabled in the update that must be reactivated to restore this feature?

    Thanks for any comments.

    I took a stab in the dark GPU rendering and disabled in preferences. Low and behold, the previews in moving and scaling of the artboard have been restored.

    It seems that in Illustrator GPU rendering is not 100% ready for the prime time. Still a few bugs to crush.

  • Art of the conclusion of a particular work plan

    Hello

    I am struggling with the "sAIArtSet-> MatchingArtSet()" by limiting to find the artset since selected only work plan.

    One way is to browse the art found set and compare indexes artboard of art with the index of the selected artboard.

    Wanted to know if there a few suite SDK internal makes this iteration in a more optimized way?

    Thank you

    I don't think that there is something to help with this, at least not that I've found.

    I've never heard of a way to get the index of artboard of an art, I'm curious, where is the method? That would be enough practice for what you do. I would have had to use the limits of art and the scope of the artboard to determine what artboard art belongs to (if any).

  • move the selection to the new work plan

    Hi guys,.

    I'm new to Illustrator script but I have done some in InDesign.

    I want a script to move a selection to a new work plan and be able to name the work plan.

    I can't find something in the DOM as artboards.add ().

    Any help?

    Hi jakec88782761,

    are what version of picture you?

    Working with work plans is possible since CS4 +.

    Here's a simple example in [JS]

    var AB_1 = activeDocument.artboards.add([0,50,200,0]);
    AB_1.name = 'first quadrant';
    var AB_2 = activeDocument.artboards.add([-200,50,0,0]);
    AB_2.name = 'second quadrant';
    var AB_3 = activeDocument.artboards.add([-200,0,0,-50]);
    AB_3.name = 'third quadrant';
    var AB_4 = activeDocument.artboards.add([0,0,200,-50]);
    AB_4.name = 'fourth quadrant';

  • Selection of a plan of work

    I don't know if I've inadvertently changed a setting, or if this change which has occurred in one update. Can someone tell me?

    I used to be able to select a plan of work directly when several work plans are used and print it out. Now, I have to select work plan tool to select it.

    If this feature is gone or I did something to change behavior?

    The feature actually went in the latest versions. I installed 2015.1.1 and it works. So I guess they took the behavior.

    As you can see below the first triangle is selected in the regular view outside the artboard scene, while others are not. I can just go through each work plan directly without entering the stage of the artboard. If I wasn't crazy after all.

  • Work plans: selection of the artboard and unlock automatic disabling shapes in the work plans - possible?

    Hello

    I easily through the General work plan, and I saw immediately, so I thought I'd put it out there. Here are my two questions:

    1. is there a way to disable the ability to move a work plan while working in it? Essentially, to block the plan in place, but not the items it contains? If you use the automatic selection and slightly approach the edge of the plateau, then swipes the entire Board rather than just a few layers / items you want.

    2 is there a way to auto unlock all layers, including forms? It can be really frustrating for fish through the layers to find the form locked in order to remove a work plan. Command + / has not worked for me when I closed a single object manually.

    Thank you very much! I hope that these are not repeated questions.

    1. Yes. Use 'Position Lock' on the layer of the artboard properly said.

    2. Yes. Select the parent group or the artboard. While holding down the alt/option key, choose "Lock all layers in artboard...» "in the drop-down menu Layers Palette.

    This should unlock all layers inside this group or the artboard.

    (Probably, the fact that the menu does not change when you hold down the alt key is a bug, but it does not)

  • Is there a tool or function (in Illustrator or InDesign) that selects any form and 'punches' a 'hole' of this form down through several objects for the paper or the work plan?

    Is there a tool or function (in Illustrator or InDesign) that selects any form and 'punches' a 'hole' of this form down through several objects for the paper or the work plan?

    Your objects punch must be in a large group; It will cut through all that is below.

    Create the shape you want to cut and set it to black Uni. Select your group and your form and (in the transparency palette), click make mask.

    Uncheck the Clip, and then return to the palette.

  • JavaScript allows you to select works of art on a particular work plan?

    Is it possible to use Javascript to select all the illustrations on a particular work plan?

    Or if you could not designate the selection based on the index of the artboard, another way I could see to do would be to select all illustrations in a framework encompassing? For example, if I were to measure the artboardRect of a work plan and then set the selection all pageItems in this context?

  • By selecting the same outline color or fill in only a single work plan (not all)?

    This seems to be an obvious question. I have 6 work plans in a document, each containing a slightly different version of a complex logo that I'm working on. In the past, I would have just used a large body of work and had a layer for each different version but this time I thought I'd give multiple work plans, a go (I've just updated for CS3) and without layers. Trying to go to Select - same line color, it seems that it selects the same color of stroke on ALL working plans. In the past I would have had the layers locked except the one I was working on. I looked in preferences to see if there's something to turn it off, but it does not exist. Am I missing something?

    One thing you can do:

    Select the entire document on the artboard, you are dealing with, select reverse, Lock (Cmd + 2).

    This way you have blocked all on other work plans.

    You can now select same wotever on the artboard, you deal with without affecting the others.

  • The coordinates of the object relative to the selected work plan.

    Controls Oregon (x, y = 0.0) to a point of coordinates of objects? I'm not referring to the "reference Point".

    I use a lot of work plans and sometimes Oregon comes from the new artboard I created, which is great for my workflow. I place a lot of objects using the higher coordination tool.

    Screenshot on 8.1.2013 at 2.17.30 PM.png

    But often the Oregon corrects its position for the first work plan. Is there a way to control the Oregon?
