Semi-transparent text

Hello
I want to display text in a semi-transparent background. Label or TextField have the backgroundAlpha attribute, which is what I think I need. Is there no work around to get the same effect?
Thanks, Marco

And if for some reason you do not want focus and the border to appear, you can set these styles:

focusThickness 0
borderStyle no

  • Background semi-transparent text with corners rounded. (Old Q, but with a twist.)

    Hi all

I'm just starting to soak my feet in Dw as part of a COMPUTER program. The only thing I know is a basic level of the HTML language. We have not yet learned how to write CSS manually, but that is coming up very soon. Why they don't teach us that first of all I don't understand, but at this point told us not to touch the code in Dw, only to do it all in Design view. It's the twist. My guess is that they want us to be able to refer to our work later and see what the code is only as we designed it our website.

Now, what I try to do an assignment is to create a Web site simple, and in the div of the main content I want to make a semi-transparent text box with rounded corners which can take up to 90% or the width of the div content. Is it possible to do this in Design view? I don't see that this explained in the code.

Thanks for any help. I know it's probably one of the dumbest questions out there, but I'm in this to learn.

  • Text and PDF is faded, semi transparent and unreadable.

    Hello
Since the installation of Firefox 6, when I tried to open a PDF file, the image looks like it summer flows in a bad copy machine that is almost out of ink and is semi-transparent. (I can see the background image to display on my desktop via the PDF). I have Adobe Reader X 10.1.0 installed version, which seems to be the last plugin. (I checked all my plug-ins Adobe are up-to-date and also disabled every plugin but Adobe Acrobat and the problem persists.) I also noticed this problem with some of the text in the Flash applications, I opened it, such as practical a quiz site for a manual that I use for school. This does not occur in Internet Explorer, or when I open a PDF file in the viewer Adobe, leading me to think it's a Firefox problem. It's pretty frustrating that I can't read my documents online or study for my exams using Firefox, because overall, it's my browser of choice. Counsel on how I can try to fix this problem? Thank you.

I have Firefox 6 (but several versions have the same problem) and was faced with the same problem and finally found the Solution. Firefox has hardware acceleration is enabled by default. You must disable.

You can do it under Tools-> Options-> advanced. Uncheck the hardware acceleration

1, type about: config in your address bar and promise to be careful, then search in gfx.direct2d.disabled preference name.
    Double-click the preference to True.

2, check disable it Firefox Direct2D and DirectWrite Hardware Acceleration.
Find the name of the preference gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled .
    Double-click the preference to false.

Restart Firefox. You should get clear, sharp images as well as correct rendered PDF back. It worked for me!

If I want to print my Indesign file content (black & graphic text semi transparent) on a gray t-shirt, the "white" background of the Indesign file print under white or transparent? Since I want the background to be transparent, there are special Indesign settings needed to get there? Suggestions appreciated.

Unless you have added a white spot, it will be transparent.

Using InDesign CS6, how do a semi transparent fill for a block of text while keeping the type 100%?

On the effect controls panel, you can choose the stroke of extra or text and apply the transparency you need as a result.

  • Full text and background semi transparent

I need to have full text and background semi transparent.

    I found a solution here CSS;

But using a semi transparent PNG24 would be better for older browsers? IM using the text in black with a white backgrround, so if in a few browsers transparency has been lost and the bottom turned white, it would be OK.

  • How to make a watermark semi transparent?

I want to make a watermark to include in all my images. I would like to create a text that is semi transparent completely transparent one side then discoloration on the other side. Can someone tell how to do it please? I have CS5. Thank you.

    I'll show you my way:

    1. Enter the text and click on the layer mask icon. The layer mask should be all white and a small border. Which indicates the mask 'active' ist.

The foreground color should be black and the background color white.

    2. choose the gradient tool. The degraded window. Choose the first gradient, "foreground to background" = black and white.

Change the color from white to gray.

    3. check the layer mask > is active?

Apply the gradient from right to left on your text.

See the thin line in the screenshot.

    4. on your mask layer appears the gradient left starting with gray and straight ending in black.

The advantage of this method is that you can change your text without changing the gradient.

The black color on the layer mask hides the text, gray makes the text more or less visible, and white means completely visible.

    It will be useful.

  • How to: transparent text with border and transparent text box?

I would like to place a callout directly on an image that has a transparent semi information, but retains the fully opaque text. If I create a < div > class with a transparent background, it seems that everything in this div retains the same opacity settings, even if I reset it with the < div > elements.

Is there a way to get around this?

    Thank you

    Mark

I was trying to avoid additional images.

A picture is sometimes a better choice.  Use a very small semi-transparent png image and repeat.  Background image can be as small as 2 pixels x 2 if very small.

The problem with an opacity of CSS, it's that you need different rules for each browser engine: Moz, webkit, IE...

    Examples with the code:

    http://ALT-Web.com/sample.html

And opacity extends to everything inside, this text is gray.  For this reason, I prefer to use an image instead of opacity CSS.

Try a hard reset or change the wallpaper. If none of those work turn to reduce transparency in the increase in contrast

  • Progress with the semi-transparent cursor display?

    Hello

I'm working on a project which controls 28 rooms.  I want to have a screen with bars of different colors for the different stages.  I'm here thinking sliders.  I want to fill them before the start of the execution and then have a coverage slider which is semi transparent to cross.

I don't see a way to get the transparent semi with the cursor in another.

My next idea is to have a translucent image 2D on top that changes size running.

    Simple suggestions?

    Thank you

I can't the fill is semi transparent?

Yes. As I said, there are a number of ways in which you can do, but to stay in line with what you already have, you can create a semi transparent PNG square (I like Paint.NET, but I think that PowerPoint should also work for this) and imports that instead of filling. The key point is that, once you do this, you need to hide the background of the slide. To do this, select window > show window pieces in the editing mode and find the part called cosmetic. Change its size and position so that it is hidden. Alternatively, you can import a transparent image to replace it. Will allow you to see behind the slide.

  • Transparent or semi-transparent navigation bar all THE apps in Lollipop

    Hello community,

I want the report to the screen, a bad feature of our Sony with press.

The navigation bar that contains the soft keys touch remains black in all applications (exception Album and other Sony apps). It smells very bad to see, so there is a solution, a mod, an app WITHOUT ROOT to have a transparent or semi-transparent navigation bar?

For example, in Chrome, will be perfect to have transparent navigation bar to see full web page complete!

    Thank you!

    Hi Alexdon,

I read the thread, but does not answer my question; It talks about the immersive mode, but not on the transparent navigation bar.

But, indeed, the immersive mode is better than the transparent bar, so I searched the web on and I found an interesting application, requiring no root, which allows the user hide the navigation bar in ALL the apps and home screens.

So, I don't know how Sony has not implemented this feature HIGH on his Xperia devices wih the latest firmware, because it is a feature that enhance value, functionality and beauty of its features...

The app is named on game of Google as a store GMD Immersive Mode full screen and his works fine (tested personally). The only bug is the keyboard, a bug of Android, where the navigation bar must be required to type and should not used with the camera app (but app inventory also have similar immersive mod).

I hope that this thread can help other users and, especially, can be read by employees of Sony to natively implement this update functionality in the future or when comes out the new home screens.

  • Semi-transparent on Storm

    Hello

The storm or any other BB device does semi-transparent? I have an image when when you press this image I want to paint a picture semi-transparent on top so that the user understands that the event has occurred.

Of course you can do all you need to do is paint the right items in the right order ...

If you don't know how to paint things to an item with background tranpaent check the following in the graphic API

         setGlobalAlpha (int alpha)

Sets the current global alpha value for drawing operations.

  • Semi Transparency question

OK, so I use Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 on a PC and I have a strange problem transparency I can't find the cause of.

It is the original image with a background layer dark Pier behind him.

But when I put this picture in the paper, I work on tools somehow become semi transparent and show what is behind them

I have restarted Photoshop, restarted the computer. I disabled all my other layers. None of the 3 that are on having any sort of change in mode or opacity of the mixture, so I'm rather perplexed! I also tried to simply open both files and duplicate the layer with the tools over the other document, but it still does the same thing.

Any thoughts? Is there a setting somewhere that I may have inadvertently changed? Thanks for any help!

Have you tried to check the blending mode for the 'Tools' folder itself?
