Print my Indesign file content (black & graphic text semi transparent) on a grey T-shirt

If I want to print my Indesign file content (black & graphic text semi transparent) on a gray t-shirt, the "white" background of the Indesign file print under white or transparent? Since I want the background to be transparent, there are special Indesign settings needed to get there? Suggestions appreciated.

Unless you have added a white spot, it will be transparent.

    I seem to be able to print anything, except when a print to InDesign file. When I try, I get a paper jam?

    Hello

    You use a different type of paper to print with InDesign? The program itself can cause the paper jam, but maybe the settings or the paper you are using are the cause of the problem. I often print on thicker or InDesign photo paper and usually just put a sheet in the printer at a time to help with jams and paper pick up questions.

    Please report parameters and the type of paper you are using to help find a solution. Thank you!

    Hello

    I'm new in indesign scripting.

    I want to create the reference, which is the link to the paragraphs (or text anchor) another indesign file (new.indd).

    My first problem is how to get all the paragraphs or anchor text of the file new.indd

    I want to apply an Adobe Indesign link reference to the paragraphs with the Destination Documents: new.indd.

    How it's done by script?

    I have try to use this:

    indesign #target

    myDocument var = app.documents.add ();

    var myTextFrame = myDocument.pages.item (0).textFrames.add ();

    var xRefForm = myDocument.crossReferenceFormats.item ("Page number");

    source var = myDocument.crossReferenceSources.add (text, xRefForm);

    var myLink = myDocument.hyperlinks.add (source, hyperlinkURLDestination);

    How to get all the Paragrapgs or text the file new.indd anchor and create cross-references using the this.

    Thank you.

    You can create cross-references to anchor points and paragraphs. If you need create an anchor text in new.indd, then use as the target of the cross reference:

    var anchor = app.documents.item ('new.indd').hyperlinkTextDestinations.item ('myAnchor');

    source var = app.activeDocument.crossReferenceSources.add (text, xRefForm);

    app.activeDocument.hyperlinks.add (source, anchor);

  • Display the contents of a text file in the control of the chain without changing the format

    Hi all

    I need your help!

    Planning the content of the text report file in labview control chain of the GI.

    When I read the text file and update the chain control, alignment of text was not appropriate.

    but when I open the same text file in Notepad, alignment looks good.

    How to solve this problem of text alignment?

    Gramy

    You experience the same problem before.

    Just use a .net textbox control to display text, instead of the string of LabVIEW.

    There is NO need to re - format the string.

  • Text box in the shelter to cultures placed InDesign file

    I created a map in InDesign, placed in another InDesign file in the form of a graph and then cropped it to display only a part. When I export the file, it extends one of the text labels of the image placed outside the frame, so that it was cropped. Each element is cropped.

    I copied this label of a text in its own nine file, changed to a default font (Minion) and placed this document in another InDesign document nine cropping to half way down. Exported to PDF, and exports under cover as in my original.

    I then placed it a few times on the page at various sizes. I have found that at 100% and 58%, that it would not crop, but in 211 and 855% he cropped as it should, as you can see below:

    Untitled-1.jpg

    I thought that maybe 100% and below was the key point to which he has not worked, but at 101%, it has no crop either so it's somewhere between 101 and 211% by the look of it. File card to origin is placed at about 80%.

    Anyone know what is happening? InDesign CC 2015 (11.4.1.102) Windows (and also tried on ID 2014 with the same result)

    I used a frame as a mask to correct for the area I wanted to reframe, yours seems oversized way.

    With respect to the IDML, is not all that reliable to clean the file. I suspect that this block of text is actually the problem, but had no time to test. My next test was to cut the text in the frame and remove the empty picture frame, and then create a new image and paste the text to repalce the frame of the origin of the problems.

    I have a paged presentation that contains multiple indesign files linked. They have two colors: black to 100% and a spot color. If I export the files related, using the same PDF preset, the colors are kept, but when exporting from layout with them tied it converts black in 4 colors. I checked the separations on the layout file but they are all very good. It's just a bug or am I doing something stupid?

    What happens when you color manage CMYK to another space CMYK, try using PDF X / 1 setting first and make sure that preserve numbers is set for the release, let us know how it goes.

  • Print from InDesign prints fine, but print after that exporting to PDF prints black as gray, low Image quality

    Hi all

    I have a printing problem going on with a document that I am currently trying to print.  When you export to PDF (high quality print or press quality setting, as well as to any possible color output) and then print, black my document go to the gray and the images look washed out.  This does not happen if I print directly from InDesign on my printer.  I tried to change the merger of transparent space, change the color profiles document and corresponding to export options to the options used when you print directly from ID, all without success. the document is always printed wrong when exporting to PDF first.  Any ideas why this might happen when exporting or printing to PDF, but not when you print directly from ID?  Thanks in advance for any help!

    I see.  Is there a way to ID artificially add CMY export in the same way as it does when sending to print?

    Is the destination of the document a composite digital printer or an offset press? If it is composite set your black preference for export fills and convert to RGB on export:

  • Switching to text in an InDesign file done with text in a Word document?

    Hello
    As I recently started working with InDesign, this question may seem quite silly. I have a finished InDesign file and what I have to do is to replace the text in the InDesign document with the text in a Word document. The text frames must remain in the same places, fonts may be the same, etc., so I just wanted to know how to replace this text in the InDesign document without copy - paste the text in the Word file in each text block. Basically, I have a guide to the user of a device in one language, and I have to insert the translated text that the user guide is in another language. Is it by linking documents?

    Yours faithfully,

    VerySeriousPerson

    It is a way to do it. But you will need to format the new document with paragraph styles.

    1. Open existing document ID
    2. Save as and change the file name (language to translate to?)
    3. Insert the cursor at the beginning of the document
    4. CRLT/SHIFT/END to select all of the text in the document (this is for Windows)
    5. Delete
    6. File/Place the file with the text you want. Make sure that you press SHIFT while placing the file, the text flows to all text frames.
    7. Format the document as you wish

    Second step is very important to keep the original file.

  • Export the InDesign file as text

    Hi all

    I need to export the InDesign file as text (textType). There are several examples of this, but I could not found the script that export InDesign file as text in the path of the active Indesign with the indesign file name document.

    For example: If the file is MyDoc.indd, export text file name should be mondoc.txt.

    If anyone has this code, please give me.

    Thank you

    Talk in circles, are we not? See anwser #1 above!

    But suit yourself. That's what you ask:

    app.activeDocument.stories[0].exportFile(ExportFormat.TEXT_TYPE, new File(app.activeDocument.fullName.fullName.replace(/\.indd$/i,'')+".txt"));

  • InDesign file layout of a newspaper that will print and fold easily

    Hello

    I would like to make a model of a 20-page newspaper (therefore 5 double-sided sheets of paper that are folded). I want to build the model in InDesign so that I can easily make changes to my comp as needed. The * real * newspaper is printed on tabloid, but my comp, I'll just be printing on normal 8.5 "x 11".

    My printer can do double-sided printing, when I print my Mock up for example, Pages 8 and 13 will be on one side, Pages 14 and 7 on the other. But when I'm editing the file in InDesign, I would normally consider:

    1

    2 3

    4 5

    6 7

    etc...

    18 19

    20

    Is this possible? I have a knowledge base of InDesign, so need clear steps on how to do it. Or if someone can direct me to a model line in files or e-mail to me working too .

    Thank you!

    ALWAYS make your layout in readers spread as against simple pages, so for a tabloid sheet that folds in half for letter you would be set up as a letter in portrait mode. If your folded paper uses two tabloid pages has joined on the long edge, set up in the tabloid facing pages.

    To impose in printers, spreads, you can either use booklet print to print directly to the printer or print in PDF format (if the Virtual PDF printer is installed and that you are on Windows or Mac OS X before Snow Leopard) or by printing to Postscript queue and distillation, or you can use a script to organize pages, and then export the "spreads" in PDF format.

    You can easily scale pages to fit the printable whole sheet area when you print the PDF file.

  • Problem when printing the PDF file created by InDesign

    OK, here's the scenario.

    I have a flyer, created in InDesign. I drew a grey curve (in InDesign) that goes at the top of each page.

    I import a transparent logo in PSD format and place it on top of the grey curve.

    In InDesign, and when I PDF looks good (at any zoom level).

    However, when I print, there is a slight outline around the logo transparent and it has a slightly different shade of gray in the background (it is different from the curve).

    Does anyone know why this might be?  I also tried to import the logo with the same gray background as in InDesign, but the same problem occurs.

    Any help is appreciated!
