"Send to..." 'Recipient' disable the context menu in Explorer for JPG does not or not broken.
Problem on VISTA ULTIMATE 32. I have all the latest patches. It's a laptop ASUS M70. Default email course is Windows Mail.
In the Windows Photo Gallery, when I select a photo, then click on "messages" then that nothing happens.
In Solution Explorer, select a JPG photo, and then I can either 1) click on "E-mail" or 2) via the context menu, select "send to" followed by "Recipient" and appears "attach files" box that allows me to resize the jpg file. If I want to, I can cancel it with success. However, if I select "join" then it shows "Preparing to send" and just hangs there. If I cancel (after say 1 to 10 minutes), it hangs there doing nothing with the message «Cancel...» "indefinitely. If I cancel the application "attach files" in the Task Manager, it lowers the Explorer.
What is going on? What I want to do is ' send to ' 'recipient' some resizing photos (via the context menu in the Explorer). There is no problem to send other files e.g. *.mp3.
I just noticed that (even if an instance of "Attach files" is 'preparing to send' or 'Cancel') it will work properly if I do not resize. In other words, if I want to send the original size. While so-called to resize JPG? Is it an idea to my problem?

As it works fine in safe mode then there could be some third party software installed on the computer are contradictory in normal mode, I would say that you clean the clean boot procedure and check.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem.
1. click on Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

Looks like there is a problem with the registry entry for the menu "send to".Important: This document is to modify the Windows registry. Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about the back upward, and restore the registry, review of the Microsoft article 332756 Knowledge Base (how to back up and restore the registry in Windows).
Try these steps and see if it solves your problem:
- Click Start, and then type regedit.exe in the search field. When appears in regedit.exe, press enter or click on its icon.
- Provide consent or credentials appropriate to user account control if prompted.
- In the tree pane, navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
- Open the subkey send to. If it does not exist, create it.
- In the subkey send worms, you will see a (default) string value. Ensure that it is set to {7BA4C740-9E81-11CF-99D3-00AA004AE837}.
- Log in and turn it on.
If you are able to change the registry, I exported the correct values from the registry a new installation of Windows Vista that you can import. Simply download the following ZIP file, extract the content inside the file, double-click it and click 'Yes' to the guests.

"Send to desktop" missing from the context menu of Explorer
I have a new install of Windows 7 pro, but I worked with her for a few weeks for some programs to run. I just realized that I can't create a shortcut for the Office in the normal way, with a right click and "send to"---> desk. "Send to" is present in the first Panel to right click, but the "office" is missing from the Panel following if you selected "send to."
I created another profile and the 'office' is, as appropriate, when above sequence is started.
What could be wrong, or more importantly, how can it be corrected?
I see another post in this group with instructions to create a new profile and copy that to her. I can do that, of course, but when I do there always seems to be something missing, so if there is one solution (other than a restaurant), I would be happy to hear about it.

See a strange problem with only a Windows 2008 R2 model. When you use the built-in function "Start VM and wait" workflow to start a virtual machine (after conversion from a template either manually, or through workflow) NIC of the virtual machine (I tried VMXNET3 and e1000 times) does not connect to the problem. Vds can be replicated in a different VCenter, so spreading the vds. I also created several models of Windows 2008 r2 and all have this problem.
If the model is converted and started outside VRO, it gets an IP from and is connected to the VDS immediately
Tried add/remove the NIC of the model
Tried to move the comments on different hosts
Tried to create a new template from scratch
NOTE: Windows 2012 R2 doesn't have this problem in the same circles, the only constant is the Windows 2008 R2 being started by VRO.
Anyone seen this before?

The keys menu, home, back and search does not turn on
So last night I was getting to know my phone, I noticed that the menu, home, back and search keys were not light and I had trouble finding the right key in a low light situation. Also had the same problem while in the media that I have at my bedside when I use my phone as my alarm clock to dock. Everyone is having these problems? Today when I got to work I noticed the flash on intermitantly so I know they work, but how do I get it so that they are always on? Any ideas?
They are based on the light sensor... I cover the small hole in the top of my phone to the right of the speaker, they come out, they go out.

Reformat the WD My Passport Ultra for Mac does not
My Ultra passport was once on my Windows 7 PC. I reformatted since it on my PC just to get all the information out of him.
I want to format it to work on my Macbook Pro for Time Machine, so I looked into how to do it. He told me to open the disk utility, choose the drive and choose "delete".
However, the 'Clear' button is grayed out and it wont let me delete it.
Yet once again, the disk has already been formatted on my PC, is empty.
Is there perhaps a way to format it for a Mac on my PC?
You can't use a PC to reformat a drive for a Mac, take a screenshot of the drive with the drive connected utility, so we can see what you see.
