Sending e-mail to a group

I have a band I need to send mails in a folder in my file of Contacts, but may not know how to get these addresses in the To: line on my emails.

MJGlaser

I use Vista and Windows Mail.

I have a band I need to send mails in a folder in my file of Contacts, but may not know how to get these addresses in the To: line on my emails.

If you use a group, why do you want all the addresses in the field instead of just the group name?

To use the functionality of the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), in a new message window, click View | All headers and type the addresses separated by a; Or: Click the button to. You will see your list of contacts and the choice to put them in the To, CC, or BCC field. Click on an address, and then click BCC to add it. Repeat for all of the contacts you want. (Note: most of the providers have limits as to how many messages you can send both a. 25 is common, but it varies).

Put your own address in the box to. That's the only name/address that any recipient will see. If you leave the field empty, some people may not receive e-mail because of message rules they put in place, or restrictions imposed by their ISP.

You can also make an entry in the address book using your e-mail address, but put something like the mailing list in the area of the display.

*********************

You can also create groups if you send e-mail to the same people often.

To create a group of contacts:

You can create a single group name (or alias) to use when sending a message to several contacts at the same time. Just create a group name and add individual contacts to the group. Then just type the name of the group in the box for when you send mail.

1. in the address book, select the folder in which you want to create a group. Click New in the toolbar, and then click New Group.
2. the Properties dialog box opens. In the group name box, type the name of the group.
3. There are several ways to add people to the Group:
a. to add a person from your address book list, click Select members, and then click a name in the address book list.
(b) to add a person directly to the group without adding the name to your address book, type the person's name and e-mail address at the bottom of the Properties dialog box and then click Add.
to add a person to both the Group and your address book, click New Contact and enter the appropriate information.
(d) to use a directory service, click Select members, and then click search. Select a directory service in the drop-down list at the end of the text box. After finding and selecting an address, it is automatically added to your address book.
4. Repeat for each addition until your group is defined.

Note

a. to view a list of your groups separately from the list of address book in the address book on the view menu, make sure that folders and groups is selected.

b. you can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to several groups.

If you want to send to a group without addresses are displayed for each recipient, open the address book and make a new entry. Enter the name of the group in the area of the display, but use your address. (Some Internet service providers require a legitimate address in the line to and recipients will know it's from the Group).

Click on the button to. Enter the name of the group using your address. Enter the group in the BCC field.

    Downloaded latest version of Thunderbird. Old as any wab file suggested using "morefunctionsfor...". ». The old address book (full) has been imported correctly a new Thunderbird addressbook.     1. open Thunderbird AddressBook;

  • Unable to send e-mail to groups in Windows Live Mail

    * Original title: send 1 e-mail to the list of contacts (Group)

I have Windows Live Mail and have made a group list of 159 names (on more than 1000 in my Contact list).  At least this is what I think that I did.

I would like to send a bcc these 159 people without clicking each name individually.  I guess that there is a way to click on this group of 159 easily

in the Bcc box, but I don't know how.

    Help!  Thank you!

    Hello Polly,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities. I apologize for the delay
response and thank you for your time and patience.

According to the description, I understand that you have created a group of 159 contacts and all by sending an e-mail with attachments, it is located in the folder Outbox for hours. Manipulate later you settings in the e-mail message.

E-mail contacts can be saved as a group and sent both without selecting each contact individually. You can give a name to the Group and when you send an e-mail, you just type the name of the group in the field that you created. It's what we call a group name.

    Hi pdkbingo,

It is more than likely that your email account which is at fault and not on your PC. It is quite easy to 'spoof' an email so it seems that if it came from your email address when, in reality, it comes from someone else. I suggest change you your email provider, so changing your email address. If you are using groups of public discussion, facebook, twitter "are not" visualize your email address. Unscrupulous people help software 'bots' trawl newsgroups etc. for email addresses. It's a way to get loads of spam. If you post an email address in a newsgroup etc. then type something like * address email is removed from the privacy *. Of course, you will need to enter your 'real' email address when registering for the discussion groups, facebook, twitter etc but if your email address is not visible there cannot be "hijacked" as you say.

  • Problems sending e-mail to MS Outlook 2007

When trying to send e-mail in MS Outlook 2007 I get a pop-up saying size limit reached.  I have cleaned my box (box of reception/sending/deleting) and still have the problem.

I noticed that the Outlook.pst file is very large (close to 2 gig).  I don't know if this is the reason for this.

How can I create a new Outlook.pst file or reduce the size of the current file.

I saw on a post to go to regedit, however once I arrive at Microsoft I have not all folders so I am not able to go in the 12.0 folder and create a new key.

    Thank you.

    Hello

  • Cannot send e-mail

I can't send e-mail with an attachment to the air of my ipad 2 version 9.3.2. But I know that I can send emails from normal text. I have check all parameters with my iPhone. The voth parameter determine is the same, but I wonder why it happens only with my iPad Air. Hope someone can help me. I'm trying to solve with change port and add the server but may not work too.

What happens when you try to send an email with an attachment? What type of attachment? There is a possible problem with this accessory? Who is your email provider, you ask them if they have restrictions on the size of attachments?

I do not know if it is typo, but what "voth decides he" means?

  • Restriction of server error 4.1.1 Temp? Can't send e-mails?

Cannot send e-mail messages, respond with error 4.1.1 which says that the server has a limit and it is temporary. My server is bigpond and I don't have this problem with Windows Mail - only with Mozilla. I just sent the same message to several friends, but now there are not sent to the tutor and said I should reduce the size, or wait until later. I can't send anything with a picture, but it's just a little e-mail with only text. I contacted Telstra and they advise that the problem is with Mozilla. I had a tech look at the settings and it could not find why this is happening. Help, please!

Re: r 4.1.1 which says that the server has a limit and that is temporary

Clearly not to be true, or they don't know what they are talking about.

If you get a message from the server the server-sent not thunderbird. The error message is their server. He says he has a limit. Unfortunately, it does not say what the limit is and it is not easy trying to find this info.
Looks like you have sent your quota and that is why it says try again later.

    I find this:
The limits of the e-mail to send emails via the bigpond servers are not more than 25 consecutive emails every 10 min or 1 e-mail to 100 recipients every 10 min

  • Not all of a sudden, I can't send e-mail

I can't send email, but I can receive. He always tells me that my password is incorrect, but it IS OK on my computer and if I connect via safari. What should I do? I need to be able to send e-mails!

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your user name and password are there.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > your account > account > outgoing mail server - tap the name of the server next to SMTP check in the main server and make sure that your user name and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
