  Hi, my question is maybe totally recruit one, but I can't get the package of edge animate sensitive to resize smoothly in the Dreamweaver fuid grid.

  It is not wide enough or the height doesn't fit, which translates the footer to be away.

  It probably has to do with the size of the object tag when I insert the CAO.

  Change the sizes to 100%, it works very well for width, height's strange features, showing only a small part of the animation in each view.

  Is this a problem of oam packets or just my poor knowledge of the CSS language?

  I came across this problem when recording to Adobe Dreamweaver CC: learn by video for Adobe Press. The way I handled it was by adding the next block of JavaScript just before the closing tag on the page that contains the object to animate dashboard:

  This example gets the width of the animation (the default ID is EdgeID). It then adjusts the height by multiplying the width by 0,562. You need to fix the scaling of the image in the next line to fit the proportions of your animation:

  Anim.style.Height = (w *. 562) + 'px ';

• When you edit a Web Page in border Animate, how can I incorporate elements of edge in pre-existing DIV?

  I created a basic with a few boxes layout in Dreamweaver. I put the Overflow property on them to "hidden". Then, I opened the page in dashboard animate. However I noticed that when I import stuff, like a picture, then try to slip into one of the existing DIV, it won't work. He remains on top of all the other DIV however if I create a box or some other sort of DIV directly on board animate, I can drag the Image element in this, so he is locked up in this division

  I guess that workaround seems to be to embed the image in the DIV tag in Dreamweaver first, then open the page on the edge. However, it would be nice not to have to keep popping back like that. Is there a way to make this beachfront animate?

  Also, I've noticed when I select one of the DIVs, I did in Dreamweaver, most of the properties, such as corners, shadows and filters are missing. These can be used on DIV only created directly in Edge animate?

  What you see, is the difference between what we define as a static div (that is defined outside of Animate) and a managed div (that is defined inside Animate).  Due to the fact that we expect other products to change a static div, limit us the amount of changes you can make to a public static div.  Because we "manage" a div that is created inside of animate it, we allow a lot more changes to a div.  Hope that answers your question!  I suggest you to create divs in Animate, if you want to eventually change to have corners, etc..

  I have create an animation of one edge animate publish and put it in a DIV tag in my layout using Dreamweaver. The result is an object tag with the absolute size of the animation. The result shows the animation cut down and will not scale.

  I am VERY new to Captivate and most Adobe products and am not a web developer or programmer.  I learned how to use 9 CAptivate and understand you can do advanced animations (and more with the function of calendar in the working area).  However, I recently took a course (a pretty good on the site Adobe know-how) on sensitive site, building 8, Captivate and the instructor used edge animate to do something similar.  I do not understand that Edge animate has other uses and has more features that advanced in Captivate 9 animations, but if I want to only produce a little advanced animations and simple movements, I use Edge animate to do this?  I guess what I'm trying to understand where are the limits to capabilites animation Captivate 9 against Edge animate?

  Animate edge can create animations and "was" considered to be the alternative for Flash animations at the start of the hype of HTML5. However, Edge animate is more will continue during development, the month next Flash Pro will be renamed CC animate and will be able to post files OAM, as Edge host used to do. Captivate has the ability to embed animations such as you can embed animated GIF (old but still functional to both output SWF and HTML5) as well. However, it must be aware of the fact that there is no communication between these animations and Captivate, unless you know JavaScript. Such communication is possible using widgets.

  Since you are new, I often have problems with the terminology. You want simple movements in Captivate 9? Use the effects of movement, much easier to create and manage than to try to do it with another application. The effects are possible in Captivate, no need for another application at all. What do you mean by "advanced animations? If explain you it, maybe I can also offer you an alternative to animate dashboard? I used it with Captivate 8, but right now, I'm perfectly happy with what's available in Captivate. Edge Animate has (d) the possibility of incorporating some code snippets (JS) or write your own code. Captivate has advanced actions, shared stocks and you can also launch the JavaScript code. I don't think Edge animate has 'more' feature if you want to create Captivate e-Learning courses! Or do you have another goal?

  I followed the progress of edge animate (formerly Edge) since Steve Jobs decided that he was not having Flash on the iPad.

  With each new version, I was desperately looking for the function that I consider the most important of all: scale-to-fit

  There are a few discussions already on this forum where people have asked for this feature - but both have been diverted by the responses of people who did not understand this as "scale-to-fit" is. So let me explain scale-to-fit:

  I don't talk to the Flash feature - where HTML dimensions are set to '%' - then the resulting film will be scale-to-fit any browser window. Here is an example of what I mean:

  -try changing the size of the browser and you will see the entire image (graphics and images) scales without changing its proportions.

  When the latest version of edge animate came out with its lesson of "Resize" integrated easy to follow, I thought that Adobe has finally found an answer. But if this function is good, this does not solve the problem. We just can't properly scale-to-fit images - graphics.

  Now, it is more important that ever that Adobe finds a solution to this problem. The world will "Tailored" - this isn't just a fad. And 'Sensitive' isn't about three columns being crammed into one. All sensitive sites require images, graphics AND animations to scale-to-fit. Tutorial Adobe showing how to animate dashboard can be added to WordPress sites so of little use because it won't work for sensitive web sites.

  Please Adobe, will someone tell me if scale-to-fit is EVER going to happen? I don't mind if it is 3 months, 6 months, 9 months down the line - but I need to know if it is worth sticking with edge animate - or if I should be looking towards HTML5 Canvas or something else for a solution?

  If not, is there a fundamental reason why it may NEVER happen?

  I read what follows in the edge 1.5 api docs:

  From edge animate 1.5, opening a page with more of a composition in it is not supported, but pages can be hand-is the author to use several compositions.

  What it means exactly, I can put only a unique composition in an HTML page?

  If so, what is the "Hand-authord" solution that you propose? can you please elaborate a bit more in this issue?

  Hi, Yotam-

  What this means is that you cannot open two html files at the same time to animate (the tool), because we are working in native mode to HTML.  The solution to hand - author is more detailed this statement, which shows you how to make reference to two separate files edgePreload.js and how to place the files in divs below.

  Edge animate and animate the CC are completely different software; You can not convert Edge (that drives the DOM elements) to animate (Flash, renamed/renamed) HTML5 Canvas documents.

  You can always download Edge animate to update your old projects of edge; to do this, in the Cloud creative menu, scroll down to "Find additional Apps" and click on "all Apps > view previous Versions.  Scroll down and you will see the now Adobe Edge.

  We use Adobe Edge for quite awhile to develop HTML5 animations on mobile devices, and now it seems that Adobe Edge cannot be allowed today unless you have a 'All the Apps' creative Cloud of Adobe license. So, could you say,

  (1) is there a roadmap of Adobe Edge? or edge is no longer being developed?

  (2) flash Pro has been renamed Adobe animate, but is still essentially a Flash designer. Fit our needs for the html5 animations?

  (3) if we buy the Adobe Edge animate CC, you long term plan to support, or it is removed shortly?

  Yes, you can get the edges in your 'previous versions' section of the cc desktop application.  just after the point 1/2 towards the bottom of the page is a portal showing how to install previous versions, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html

  There are many differences between the edge animate and animate cc pro.  their closest relationship is the name chosen to rename flash pro, animate pro.

  I worked on board animate for about since a year or two. Many animations of construction / site of my client with edge animate, as my client wants all kinds of animation past with the site, but still have the feel of Web site. I'm using OAM to import my projects to the site, and I know that animate will provide me the opportunity the same.

  Animate the thought will likely pass it for animation Adobe HTML5 solution / do with edge animate all together, so think to make the jump. Tips, pointers or ideas, things to consider before taking the plunge. If I understand correctly, Animate is the new Flash. I have never tested a ton with Actionscript and remember I started with Flash, it's what is used in Flash, Actionscript was supposed to be quite similar to Javascript?

  Any ideas, feedback would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps a link or something for a good understanding of what Animate can provide such as a website, creating solution, or perhaps thinking is used mainly for ads?

  I'm trying to follow a course on lynda.com.  But their course files has been made on adobe animate 2014.  When I try to open the file with adobe animate 2015 it does not?  But the file will not open with the older version of adobe edge animate 2014 either.  Is there a reason or solution for this?
