Sequence of dialogs during "Edit in photoshop".

Win7 box. Lightroom CC 2015.3

When I change the Nikon NEF files, if I select "Edit in photoshop", launch photoshop, control is passed, all of my LR changes appear in PS.

If I am editing a PSD or JPG file and select "Edit in photoshop", I first get the dialog box asking what to change: {original edit, editing copy, edit copy with adjustments}.

When you change the NEF files, I should get the same dialogue "what to change?

Yes, I understand all that (already).

So to answer my question, the absence of the dialog is purposely because it is not necessary about raw files.

That would lead to a follow-up question about how replicate the choice of the non-modifications or all-changes to be passed to the PS it turns out that the amount of changes to the PS is governed by my current position in the history of publishing. The changes at the current position in the history of the edition are those passed to Psalm

  • No dialog box edit in Photoshop with LR and PS are the use of ACR

I am looking for more information without success "full"... The answer closest to you what I was looking for was found in this quote, but, as in the quotation even he ask to open a new threat do not interfere with issues.

I just started having the same problem. When I edit a photo in Ps from Lr. The dialog box is not started, and if I edited in LR it takes adjustments and opens to the PS. I have Lr cc v2015.5.1 camera raw 9.5.1. I have reset all warning dialog boxes. Weird. I suspect that there is a bug. Any ideas?

Please start your own thread. Since you have LR CC 2015.5.1 you also PS CC 2015.1.2.

What you see is normal. When you select Edit in Photoshop LR and PS use the same version of ACR so no dialog is necessary. Your RAW image opens in PS with all the LR settings included as a type of RAW file waiting to be saved as all that you have selected the type of file in External Editor preferences of LR, PSD or TIF section. The only time you get this dialog window is if ACR versions do not match. LR uses a version more recent ACR uses the PS version you have installed.

Ok!! I get it but is there a way to get LR to me for anyway? Sometimes I like to play in LR to get an idea of the final image, but I'd still love to be able to edit in PS 0 and compare results once in LR. I get bored just this box!

You can get this dialog for non-premieres images. With raw images if you have the same version of ACR and LR it will always open directly.

If you want to edit from scratch, simply create a virtual copy and reset its development. Then open in Photoshop. Note that the changes in Lightroom are exactly the same as what you get in the cab.

  • Why Lightroom color match not during editing in Photoshop CS3

I just started using Lightroom 4, the only version of lightroom that I used. Short version, save me lots of time. But I went to change more in photoshop and noticed that the color is radically different. I have Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1) and ProPhoto color space is to match to lightroom. I have make changes in lightroom, say remove dust spots, it appears in the version of photoshop. It seems that, in the shadow of the coast is where it really shows. My workflow would be to import to the original raw in lightroom 4 (1 5 d mark II canon) and go on changing. Right-click to edit in Photoshop CS3, and it is where the colors go crazy. So if I save the file with any editing done in Photoshop and compare side by side in lightroom, they are completely different. What is the origin of the radical difference?

    comparison1small.jpgcomparison2small.jpg

Here are the screenshots where the screenshot left the original image is the image dark and light, this is what it looks like when opened in Photoshop. Compare it to lightroom on the screenshot on the right, this is what it looks like when I saved the file in Photoshop. Then, how open it in Photoshop, then hit save the change of image? If I do edit in lightroom and then export the jpeg and open in photoshop, I get the correct color, exactly the same as my original lightroom raw.

My external editor in lightroom settings are tiff, space colorimetric prophoto.

Photoshop preferences are to preserve embedded profiles.

If she does not make in Lightroom, it is absolutely false. CS3 uses ACR 4.x, which is not compatible with the LR4 2012 process.

You must choose "Display in Lightroom" when it prompts or before opening in CS3. If it does not prompt you, try resetting your speedy deletions in Prefs-> General-> guests-> Reset.

  • A stand-alone problem with Lightroom 6 passing files to edit in Photoshop CS6 independent

With Lightroom 6 opened in 'Library' mode and display the images in the display of the grid, I select an image and right-click on it and choose the offered menu "Edit in > edit in Photoshop CS6»

I get no options as the original or original with Lightroom alterations etc., he just goes ahead and open Photoshop, but fails to transmit the image and I find myself with an open Photoshop but not picture.

Suggestions as to how could be remedied this problem.

    Thanks, Stephen

Solve the problem by the following steps:

1 launched Photoshop third-party plugins to jump (with SHIFT key during launch)

2A tried to open an image from Lightroom to Photoshop > open very well

    3. copy all the plugins from the location next to the desktop and removed from its current location.

4 put them one by one back to the original location of the office and tried to open the Lightproom image to Photoshop at the same time to find the plugin that was defective.

5 development and coral as the defective one, installed them only in Lightroom and removed from Photohsop

  • Why can´t I synchronize photos with their previous version in lightroom after doing editations in Photoshop?

    Hello!

-J' have a RAW-foto in Lightroom, that I have already edited with tools in lightroom (color, clarity, whitebalance etc..)

-I need to change some things in Photoshop, so I right click and select (CTRL + E) "(Edit in photoshop)"

-A version without my lightroom to photoshop editations openes, I do my editations it

-J' I save the photo in photoshop, and it is imported to my catalog of lightroom as a PSD file, being stacked with the original. -well, now the problem:

-If I select the new and the original version (RAW + PSD file) and try to synchronize my editations to lightroom for the PSD of the file, changes color completely and there are even a few place moves through the face of the model, that DO NOT EXIST in the original photo this synchronization to I m starting! WHY! I really do not understand...

See here on my Dropbox for a better understanding (for some reason that I can't download the pictures directly here):

    Dropbox - help adobe

Thank you for your help appreciated

Process of synchronization of lla you describe, it's not how it should work. When you edit in Photoshop with Ctrl-E, Lightroom, must pass the file raw and XMP data for your montages on Photoshop. Photoshop uses his Camera Raw engine to make these changes, and you should see a background layer that has all of your edits included.

the fact that you do not see the changes in Photoshop makes me suspicious that you have an old version of Photoshop (with an old Camera Raw). What version of LR and PS do you use? If you use an older Photoshop here, by what to do:

Normally, you will see a dialog box warning that would give you the opportunity to 'Return in Lightrom', but you may have disabled it. To reset, go in Edition > Preferences > General and click the button "reset all warning dialog boxes.»

Once you do this, opening in an earlier version of Photoshop will trigger an alert allowing you the choice of 'open anyway', or "make in Lightroom."  You must choose to render in Lightroom.

  • Editing in photoshop from lightroom photo 4

In the case of lightroom 4, selecting a photo and choose Edit in photoshop, sometimes a dialog box opens asking if I want to open original or copy with lightroom edits and sometimes it just opened in photoshop without the options. Anyone know why this is

    Hello!

If you open a non - raw such as TIFF, PSD or Jpeg image in Lightroom, you will offer the open dialog box asking "edit a copy with lightroom adjustments", "edit a copy" or "Edit original".

If you open a raw image with the option of additional external editor, the only available option is to edit a copy pixel-rendering using Lightroom adjustment: "edit a copy with lightroom adjustments.

  • Loss of quality when editing in Photoshop from Lightroom

I just noticed this tonight for the first time in nearly two years, and I hope it was not ruining my quality this time together.  I worked on an image in Lightroom, got the contrast and the perfect color and when I went to "Edit in Photoshop" it completely shaved on my photo of blackening of most of my lighter areas and it is horrible.  Discover the sky in these two pictures to see what I mean.  Any ideas? I have LR3 and CS4 if that helps...

It of ok, go to the Preferences dialog box and press the button reset warning dialog boxes, then he will reappear.  Open in any case explain - LR3 has CS5 or later to open rendered identical using anyway.  If you choose rendered using Lightroom, it must pass over the rendering correctly.

  • creation of a still edit in photoshop or be used as a clean plate

    Hi all

Y at - it a way faster and easier way to create a still image at the present time or specific in the compose window

I want to create a single image targa or tiff I can open and edit in photoshop.  The way I do it was (on Mac) is:

    1. press the button M while that parked on the chassis so that I can refer to the time indicator position.

    2. in the render 'Rendering settings', choose TIME SPAN: personalized and sent both start and end point to the same number, this would result in a duration of a still image of 1 frame.

3 in the setting of output Module, choose IMAGE ElectricImage or targa or tiff sequence and click render.

This is not a long process, once you get the hang of it, but I was wondering was there a different or better way.

  • Edit in Photoshop greyed out in Lightroom CC

Never had a problem until now, I can work with my photo in Lightroom, but cannot PHOTO PHOTOSHOP CC IN - EDIT IN - EDIT, I uninstalled Lightroom and Photoshop at some point tonight, and reinstalled, still getting it, frustrated, I have checked the forums and google and could not find a solution. If anyone can help me I have will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

From my experience (some time ago), I remember try two things, but can't remember who fixed-

1 fix the registry (on Windows) link as per - "Edit in Photoshop" missing order

2 run the program Creative cloud cleanser to wipe all references to the Adobe programs and then re-installing the App CC.

Use the cleaning of creative cloud tool to resolve installation problems

  • Menu "Edit in Photoshop" Lightroom is gray - Adobe solution does not work.

I have a problem with not being able to edit in PS directly from LR, because the Photoshop options in the menu lists "change in" are grayed out. I have other software installation (e.g., Macphun) and those are all listed and behave normally in LR.

I have run that the latest versions of LR and PS through CC and all are updated. They move on a Macbook Pro I've had for 2 years and OS 10.11.5. I have not installed other software recently.

I have not moved any of my files, which are mostly dng conversions (NEX7) Sony raw files and some old cr2s Canon. They are original, that is to say, not overviews etc.. The greyed out behavior occurs with all types of files I have in LR (including JPEG files).

PS options are grayed out if PS is running or not.

I followed all the steps Adobe ("Edit in Photoshop" missing order), UN and re installed both programs, all to nothing done.

I have reset the preferences in LR and Psalm

And, finally, I just this minute and re installed PS United Nations (just to double double check) and who did not make a difference.

I tried to find solutions and read through these forums so apologies if I'm missing something blinding (which wouldn't surprise my wife in the slightest).

Any suggestions about how to fix it are welcome.

FYI - this has been resolved by installing Mac OS Sierra.  I already deleted all the files Adobe and records (including the hidden), installed the OS, then CC, Ps, then Lr.  Works as it should now

  • How can I edit in Photoshop when I'm in Lightroom?

I just downloaded the upgrades to CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC. When using Lightroom and try to edit in Photoshop, Photoshop does not open and is grey while other applications plug-ins are available. What should I do to access Photoshop CC?

Close the two PS and LR if they are open, and then restart your computer. The "Edit In" option (Ctrl + e/Cmd + e) then works.

  • Impossible to save raw files I edit in Photoshop and save as a JPEG, appear in Lightroom

I'm migrating from an iMac to a Windows 10.  When I edited the raw on the mac version of Photoshop files and saved as jpeg files, they appeared in Lighroom.  On the new machine Windows 10, raw files I edit in Photoshop and save it in JPEG format do not appear in Lighroom, although they are physically in the directory.  Why don't Lighroom automatically displays?  Is not supposed to help me please.

    Thank you.

If you still wish to JPGs of Photoshop-

Open preferences / surface-mounted and set the "File Format" in JPG format.

    The procedure is then:

    Select the image in LR

Right click and choose "Edit in"-Photoshop.

When you are done in Photoshop, use 'save' (or simply close the photo, and PS will ask you to "Save")

    * Do NOT use 'Save AS'.

Whenever you use 'Save AS' and change the file format (for eg. open as TIFF, save as jpg or open as RAW and save - AS a different format preferably LR) Lightroom does not know this 'new' file that you create.

As you note - any file will save in the folder, and to see these 'new' files LR you need simply Right click the FOLDER and "synchronize a folder...". "This 'important' the 'new' image in the library.

Mohit suggestion is another way to get the image in LR, keeping it in a file auto-importations, but you will need to set up this folder first as in his music video screen, is not available by default.
