Serious error 5006

Need help for people. I'm at the end of my cable on error 5006. Chatted with the support of Sony, they said will restart the router and try again - me directed to their error page 5006. No dice. I another router wireless, came out of the original and has pulled up another wireless router and configured. Same error 5006. A ran a cable to your router Bravia TV and tried installing wired - versus wireless. Same error message.

When you configure the network, I'm going in and configure the computer through the Bravia network configuration and he comes back OK connected to a network, internet, etc.

Then I try to update the Web content so that I can listen to Pandora, watch Netflix, etc. Get error 5006 constantly.

I have a bunch of Mac, Windows 7/Vista machines, Tivo and HP printers connected to the same network via WIFI and not wired - no problem.

Any idea would be appreciated. Otherwise, I think I'm in the box of this unit and ship it to Dell.

Thank you - Mitch

I have the same problem. After working for 3 weeks I lost all Internet content and obtain a code of occasional 5006. Internet connection is fine and I can connect to my media servers. Have not tried the hard reset. Is there a warm reboot?

    Hello

More information on the model and the number etc. would be useful. On the top of my head, I would say bad video memory. Maybe if you have a bad stick of ram shared memory. You could swap with a well known RAM and test it. If this does not work, you will need to replace the video card. Assuming it is not integrated into the motherboard. I'll assume for now that it is, as most Toshiba is designed this way. So the chances are replacing the motherboard will solve the problem.

Another thing to try, because I did not understand your post completely. When you move the LCD screen this than that as well, or only when you change the resolution? First update all drivers and bios. Then try again and see if that solves the problem. Sometimes drivers damaged due to virus etc. and not working properly.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    Try the following

Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

After installation, restart the computer again.

Still waiting for response. Have all the updates, tried renameing installation file and several other things someone out there have ideas?

    Hello

You can try to delete the professional folder and check if that helps. This step helped little to resolve this issue.
    Professional file path: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\InstallShield\Professional
If you are still having the same problem then, rename the InstallShield folder.
For the installShield folder path: C:/program files/common files
    I hope this helps.

It is perhaps the most current driver and GoToMyPc is often a cause of BSOD.  Suggest you remove at least to test.

  • Error - Sorry, a serious error has occurred for the installation of the game Command and Conquer Generals.

Original title: Command and Conquer Generals error? Some one care to help?

So now I'm a little disappointed in how things are going right now.

I had Command and Conquer Generals before and I used to read. Bug of the game problems are forcing me to remove it. To make things worse, my PC has been infected with malware/spyware that sneak their way inside my C & C Generals App. I did a full scan using Spy Bot Search & Destroy alongside with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.

Then, I tried to re - download and installed a CLEAN one. However, when it loads the classic C & C Splash Screen(the loading page that appears before the game turns into a full screen app), another windows appears and displays this:

    "TECHNICAL PROBLEMS".
"Sorry, a serious error has occurred."

After the application closes, and happens whenever I start the game.

    Can someone help me?

I don't know what's happened since she was working before.

I do weekly maintenance using Auslogics Boost Speed 5 and Systweak Advanced System Optimizer 3.

    System Specs:
    Microsoft Windows XP SP3
Intel Pentium IV CPU 2.00 GHZ
    256 RAM
Radeon 7000 / Radeon VE Family (Microsoft Corporation)

Every effort to answer my question will be much, much, much appreciated!

I'll make sure that you have all the patches that are underway for the game Command and Conquer Generals.
    http://www.GameSpot.com/PC/strategy/commandconquergenerals/downloads.html

If you have access to a library and a flash drive, you can download Microsoft Security Essentials or any other antivirus disk analysis software and then install on your computer even if you do not have access to the internet.
This will help make sure that you have cleaned your computer properly.

A system restore back to a point in time so if you have installed all new programs since the date of the restoration of the system, you won't have any more of these programs installed.

I don't know any other software in system restore, but you can do a search on the internet, however, they can only restore from when their software is installed.

    I hope this helps.

  • system has recovered from a serious error

I have a desktop hp d4100 with wxp sp3, intel pentium d 3.2 ghz and 3.5 GB of ram. It restarts itself automatically after some time when it is inactive (it never restarts when I am using any application) and when you start BACK it gives an error message that says: "the system has recovered from a serious error". When I click on send error report, it says that the error report has received a corrupted report and gives me some options, which make is running a system restore, the other being to go to control panel > Add/Remove programs and check the updates for the software that is installed and see if all the programs software updated and then run a diagnosis if the software is delivered with one. I recently received an update from Nero, but it is not listed in Add/Remove programs. I then ran restoration system a couple of times in safe mode, but still has no effect. Someone at - it ideas?

I solved the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling Nero 11.

  • Error "the system has recovered from a serious error".

I googled for explanations on the incident, but none of the directly applied results.

I often leave the computer on overnight. In this way a project open to something like Dreamweaver is still sitting here where I left it, ready to go. This morning when I turned on the monitor, the system was at the login screen. I also got the message "the system has recovered from a serious error". With no current process performance (except at idle), something happened during the night. Any recently installed software or hardware. And I keep the defraged the drive C and with enough free space. Good anti-virus and anti-malware software.

Any suggestions on how to better diagnose it and prevent it from happening again?

  • Serious error message

I have another question about my Dell computer this at home with Windows XP. It runs very low disk space, it seems that no matter how I delete. The other day, after an update to McAfee, the computer said he picked up a serious error, and it cut whenever I try to connect to internet.  When I go on safe mode, it says 'pilot' of long.  Yesterday, I did a scan for virus in safe mode, there was no virus and was able to start up after that, but I went home for lunch and she did the same thing, cutting when I tried to connect to the internet. He used to start when I tried the last configuration that worked, but now that no longer works. Any suggestions to fix this?

    Hi candy_992,

    1. what exactly happens when you try to access the Internet?

    2. you receive an error?

    3. are you able to boot normally now?

    4. is there a specific message in McAfee?

Method 1: Try a cleaning disc to check the issue. If it is impossible to start normally, try to do the same thing in safe mode.

Each of the last depressed, ibmfilter.sys is involved in error checking.

Still, the nature of the kernel stack overflow is that all these filter drivers may contribute to the problem.  Most of the attached drivers are Symantec drivers, it seems reasonable that remove the Symantec software would certainly take care of the issue.  However, remove the Chuck ibmfilter can free enough battery to avoid the problem as well.  Or update the drivers involved could also have an impact, if changes have been made to account for this type of situation.
