  • Server 2003 keeps encountering unexpected reboots

    Hello

I really need help with that. We have a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2 SP3. We have updated all the drivers of devices, run the updates of windows, reinstall hardware and blown out server (to remove fragments of dust).  The server keeps restarting every 3 days on his own. I got a BSOD with damage to reserve in the file box. Can anyone provide an overview? I read the article for the damage to the reserve, but have yet to find a way to solve the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304208/en-usproblem.

  • Exchange Server 2003 Exchange Services stopped working.

    Hello!

I have a Windows SBS (2003), which is my domain controller and Exchange Server (2003) is installed. Arrived on site this morning only to discover that Outlook was not opening. Check the Small Business Server and it was running. However, most of the Exchange Services stopped running:

I tried to restart the services, but they kept not. I even rebooted a couple of times in hopes that I get lucky but luck was not on my side. Here is the error message and the system logs, I got the failure:

Windows could not start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store on the Local computer. For more information, see the system event log. If it is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor and refer to service 0-specific error code.

    In the system event log:

    Source: Service Control Manager

    Category: None

    The event ID: 7024

Description: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service stopped with the error special service 0 (0x0).

Description: "The analysis MAD thread was unable to read its configuration from the directory service, error ' 0x8007007e".

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the SMTP Protocol, but it did not help. I also watched some wires, but they seem not directly related to my question.

When I tried to start the STMP service, it is to get the error message: failed to start the service SMTP Simple Mail Transfer Protocol () on the Local computer. Error 126: The specified module could not be found.

    It's the system log:

I have TrendMicro Worry Free Business installed on the server but I also exclusion of files/folders to the Exchange folders / file (s). At this setting for a few years and nothing has changed. No update or something has been done since the last time it was running.

  • Impossible to set up WDS on Server 2003 SP2

    Hey guys,.

Im trying to install WDS on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 computer.

This machine has been mounted from WS03 R2 SP2 cd and had 2 hard drives (C: / D: /). He is a member of the domain and the domain has an active DHCP server.

I have install WDS and reboot the computer. I am running the WDS tool and I can see that my server is there but not configured.

I run the Setup and get to the point where he asks me where I want to put my images. I select D:\images fresh hard disk and click Next.

It of been there for about 1 minute then pops up an error saying "the volume label, file name or directory name is invalid" error Santax. I then tried to do the same but using C:\images nothing helps.

I ran the WDS Legacy system and it worked. Jumped a WS03 R2 SP2 disk into the drive and it passes through perfectly.

I can see that the files have been created on the D drive.

I look back in the WDS snap and I see that the server must always be configured. I have run the command line "/ get-AllServers" and it also shows its not configured.

So I try to run the Setup again. This time the path/directory is dimmed by the same path that I walked into the old system. It also says below that I can not change that the system already uses this for WDS.

I click Next. but I still get the same error.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

  • new PowerEdge: windows server 2003 standard r2 install problem

    Hi all

so I started with this procedure

    1. Insert the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility CD or the Dell and Documentation DVD systems management tools in the CD player.
    2. Reboot your system and boot from the CD/DVD.
    3. Select Dell Systems Build and Update Utility to go to the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility Home screen.
    4. Click the server operating system Installation.
    5. Follow the instructions step by step to set up your hardware and to install your operating system.

Now in the select list of Os, I chose windows server 2003 sp2. When I come to the part where it asks for my o/s drives, I get a "invalid" drive, and my windows install dvd is ejected.

I use our msdn 2939.3 disc titled "Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard Edition with Service Pack 2.

I tried our other msdn discs, but they no longer work.

    so I'm stuck.

All I need is to put in place the RAID-1 and windows server 2003.

Anyone who is willing to light on that?

  • Server 2003 and black screen after startup

I created a P2V using Symantec Recovery 2010.  I made a few of them in the past, and this is the first time I had no problem.  The complete p2v without no problem, generate a large vmdk file.

    1. create a new virtual machine in VMWare Workstation 7.1, by selecting the Server 2003, 2 cores, 4 GB of ram (even as a physical host).  Turn on and you get the screen Server 2003 and after that, you get a black screen.

    2. I tried F8 for Mode safe on the 2003 Server screen.  It works and I am able to start under server 2003 in safe mode.

    3. when the black screen comes up, I can see a lot of action hard disk for a few minutes and then it stops.  I let it sit for a few hours without change.  I also tried to reboot a few times to see if it changed anything.

    4. my ditch last effort was to create a whole new p2v, which has exactly the same problem.

    Any other ideas?

You may need to disable the hardware is no longer available via safe mode

  • VDR - backup of a Windows Server 2003 virtual computer crashes by 59%

    Hi @ all

an a hook two Windows Server 2003 virtual computer to 59% during the backup. Shell DataRecovy show no errors. The first two weeks it worked perfectly. 7 days, it blocks every time to 59%. All other virtual machines (Server 2000/2008, Linux etc.) work well. I tested with a new backupjob, new backup destination, the off vm, bur whenever it crashes at 59%. I hope that someone can helpd me.

VDR 1.2 was released yesterday, and this issue should be addressed by this version.

    • Data recovery backups fail to advance at the beginning of the task

In the course of the incremental backup of a virtual machine, data recovery would not make progress and the backup appliance afficheraient 100% of the CPU. This situation persisted until the reboot of the device. Even after restarting the device backup, no progress was made on the incremental backup. It was the result of using the information about the last backup backup to create a new backup.

  • Failed to connect to database (Tuxedo 8.1 - Windows Server 2003)

    Hello

We currently use Tuxedo 8.1 with Oracle 9.2.0.1 on Windows Server 2003 database. An observation we noted is that, when we have a database problem that requires to restart the database, Tuxedo fails to re-establish the connection to the database.

So that Tuxedo to use the Oracle database, we use the XA Tuxedo Resource Manager to initialize the DB connection. Everything works well until it occurs a question unrelated to the DB, which requires a reboot. When this is done, we start getting the following errors in the ULOG:

... [TR_43861] The database error: 60000: ORA-00376: 3 file cannot be read right now
... [TR_41] The database error:-1: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE query: ROLLBACK.
... The database error: 63000: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE query:.
... The database error:-1: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE query: ROLLBACK.
... The database error: 63000: ORA-03113: end of file on the channel of communication Query

At this point we also then restart the services of Tuxedo for Tuxedo to speak again of the Oracle database.

Is this a known issue with this particular version of the Tuxedo/XA Resource Manager?

Is anyway we can solve this, without having to restart the Tuxedo when this happens (for example say Manager XA resources for re - initialize the new DB connections)?

    Kind regards
    Asim

    Asim,

We have many customers using Tuxedo with Oracle Database and Tuxedo should be able to restore the connection with the Oracle database if it breaks down and comes back upward. However, the service that was running at the time where the database is down will be CNET. This service should call tpreturn() with TPFAIL when a SQL error occurs. Tuxedo will attempt to restore the connection with Oracle when a new service request is processed.

In addition, Tuxedo only tries to restore the connection with Oracle, if the application is configured to use XA with an appropriate OPENINFO and the TMSNAME parameter string in the * GROUPS section of the UBBCONFIG file.  (If these settings are not configured, then it is the application for managing connections to the database.)

    If you
    Export TMTRACE = xa:ulog:dye
in your environment, then a XA record all calls made by Tuxedo will be written to the ULOG.

Oracle database you messages posted are not the ones I've seen before. These messages are written on the userlog by your application, not Tuxedo. You can send your query to a forum for Oracle database where you may be able to get a better explanation on the meaning of messages such as "database error [TR_43861]: 60000: ORA-00376: 3 file cannot be read right now."

    Kind regards

  • Need drivers for Windows server 2003 on Satellite A200

    Hello
I have the Satellite A200 (PSAEC).
I have install the operating system Windows Server 2003 on my laptop and I can't find a lot of drivers (there are drivers for XP and Vista on the Russian Web Site only).

Plese help me with my problem.
    Thanks for in advance!

All you need to do is understand that laptops are not designed for such purposes and because of that there is no support for Server 2003.
All modern operating systems that sense with mobile computing are supported.

    Think about this.

  • Satellite Pro P200: Cannot install Server 2003 - parity memory error

I have a Satellite Pro P200 and to the work required to install Windows 2003 server on it, but all I get is an error message:

    -Hardware malfunction

Call your provider of support material

NMI: Parity check / memory parity error

    -The system is shut down

I checked the memory and everything seems OK. Vista runs very well on it, and all memory is recognized. I tried different flavors of Server 2003, although all I need is standard edition. Anyone who has met this problem, or someone has any suspicion as to how I can get it operational.

So, how tested the RAM? With Memtest? Or Prime95?

I read in many forums that people work servers (no laptop...) SERVERS) that correctly work 1 year with ECC memory, then windows 2003 server gives the same error message you have.

I mean if Vista works flawlessly and you checked as you say the RAM while there could be a mismatch which must not be for lack of toshibas.
Maybe you should try a linux ubuntu server edition, which works great on almost * ALL * systems, even on systems with faulty CPU/memory (Ok, ok, not 100%, but it works, I got this case :))

So, maybe you can try to exchange the RAM, but if you're still the same error then ask microsoft or try another P200, if they are available.

Sorry dude, but I Don t have a lot of ideas in your situation :/

    Welcome them

    > When I insert the CD, the "install Windows Server 2003" is disabled
What do you mean by people with disabilities?

You are not able to boot from the CD?

In these cases, please press the C button immediately after switching on the laptop. This should allow booting from the CD/DVD drive.
Alternatively, you can try to press the F12 key instead of the C key. This should allow the start menu. Then you could choose the STRANGE as boot device and might try to boot from the CD-ROM Server Win.
