  Please check if the options: IP automatically get an address and get server address DNS are automatically set correctly.

  To clarify - when using VCB, the first thing that is done is to create a snapshot of the virtual machine. This snapshot will be created when the virtual machine is (VMFS etc.) default.

  After that (in the case of a full backup), the VCB proxy will copy the entire virtual disk (*-flat.vmdk) storage that resides on the VCB proxy server. Then a 3rd third party tool can empty these files (tape, VTL etc.).

  So yes, the snapshot is created on VMFS. The virtual disk itself is temporarily stored on a drive connected to the VCB proxy (as much as you put the mount point). So don't forget your VCB proxy needs to have at least enough free disk space to facilitate your largest virtual disk to back up!

  When you use a file-level mount, excessive disk space on the proxy is not necessary; then you have really a 'view' in the virtual disk.

  Virtual disk writes are temporarily stored in the snapshot on VMFS file. After the VCB backup, you (or the 3rd party software backup) disassemble the medium and the snapshot is deleted. Beware, VCB has a tendency to 'forget' to remove the snapshot sometimes!

• My Server Proxy of Google Chrome is not working

  I recently did some research on my IP address and my proxy server after that I discovered that someone had used my IP address for illegal things.

  I have Google Chrome and Microsoft 7. When my proxy server is enabled the HTTP ERROR 401 UNAUTHORIZED appears when I try to open Google Chrome. Then a pop-up appears which says ' required, authentication server http://www.google.com:80, server NETGEARWNR1000V.3 " 
  The only way I can access the internet is in any case if I go to settings > advanced settings > network > change Proxy settings > then disable my proxy server.
  This causes me and my wife continued to stress because we use this computer for educational purposes, and we are a not far from our internet connection being removed completely if we are not how to solve this problem. What I understand, I just need to figure out how to get my computer to recognize my proxy server or IP address.
  If anyone has any advice it would be GREATLY appreciated!

  The 401 unauthorized error is a HTTP status code which means the page you tried to access cannot be loaded until you first log in with a valid user ID and password. If you have just logged in and received the 401 unauthorized error, it means that the credentials you entered were not valid for some reason any.

  Please make sure that the credentials you enter for your router are correct.

  As it works after you turn off the proxy server, it might be that the proxy address that sing you requires credentials.

  1. How was your proxy settings are configured initially?

  2 were the parameters provided by your Internet Service proxy provides?

  3. meet you the same problem in Internet Explorer too?

• Server proxy with rtmpt (Very Urgent) problem

  In my netwrok rtmp is not supported, so I am not able to connect rtmp.

  I tried with rtmpt(ports 80,443) and able to connect and publish the live stream on FMS(using AS3).

  But with in 5 to 6 minutes my proxy server blocks streaming. Reason, my proxy may allow only 600 of http request / minute from a particular computer (client machine), but still in publication via rtmpt after some time of http post asking come customer form machine increase limit of 600 / minute, for proxy is blocking the connection.

  I make my connection like this "rtmpt://xx.yy.zz.kk:80 / training" where xx.yy.zz.kk represent internet IP.

  Please suggest some reversal so that a message http rtmpt(http tunelling) request will not increase periodically.

  If you want a Proxy 1(on on domain) service to connect with another Proxy Service 2 (on a different domain), the procedure is similar to any other business service configuration. In general, business would point to main service (here your back-end service is another ProxyService on a different domain).

  To set up this communication, you will need to do the following:

  1. create a service business (with the WSDL Proxy Service 2) and that the URL of the Proxy 2 configured for this service.
  2. Service 1 Proxy track demand for this business.

  It's you should be able to invoke services proxy on other areas.

• Server proxy and caching

  We have a Site Web of Cold Fusion on our Windows 2000 Server we host. We have a few customers with a proxy server that should disable the cache for the Web site to allow users to connect properly. Specifically, if a customer has 2 user, they can connect with the 1 St well id and place an order then disconnect. When they connect 2nd ID they see 1 user Id, name of the customer information, order, etc...
  
  The only way around this is if we have the customer disable the cache for the web site on their server. Then it works fine. Is there an alternative approach to a solution? Because it's heavy this relay for the it Department for them to access the site properly.
  
  I use Session variables to control login and cart and destroying the sessions during the process of disconnecting. I also put the No.-cache pages, but this did not help. There may be a setting to the Cold Fusion administrator, I need to put on our server...

• Ability to create virtual server Proxy VCB San fiber in a Machine?

  I was wondering if it is possible to create a Virtual Machine to be a VCB Proxy to a SAN Fibre network.  I see no way to emulate a fiber on the virutal machine controller then how will you proceed to do this if possible?

  I don't think that this is possible - if it is the FC SAN - since you cannot load an HBA driver within the virtual machine

  If a physical box would still be necessary for CF vcb backups.

  The SnS & DMM cannot be configured to use the Proxy.

  It is a known problem.
