Service Pack 2 for 32-bit edition of Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2687455) failed with Windows XP.  I applied microsoft AutoCorrect (Mr. Fix) and 4 registry commands in the article of knowledge, but it is always a failure.  Help?

Any specific error message?

Download and install SP2 manually: -.

If you still have problems, try to update in a clean boot state:

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-AU (don't forget to return to a normal startup when finished).

Office updates may fail if the update files, look for the original installation files. Sometimes the complete file download remedies this problem or put the installation media in the installation drive can also help. If still no, you may need to do a repair installation.
