set the read-only

Hello...

I have a question on how to set the values read-only with coding instead of customization

1. to set the read only = true to look at a goal (after request data)
2. to set the read only = false for new lines (after click on "add new line)

Elements of style involved are:
MessageTextInput, messagechoice, messageLovInput

Help, please...

  • Not set to read only on the files so that they can be shared and changed on a network.

    I've seen any other questions on this subject, but they do not solve my problem.  I had to reset my network because I have a new router.  Now I can open the files on my main computer from another computer, but they always opened read-only.  I tried to set sharing and security to allow the share on the network and allow network users to change files.  But I can not turn off the box next to 'read only' in the general tab.  I also tried to start XP in safe mode and take possession of the file (article 308421), but this does not work either.

    I also tried in vain to change the attributes of command line to remove the read-only attribute and to set the system attribute, use the following command:

    attrib - r + s drive:------------

    After trying a few other corrections, I finally did a system restore before the installation of the network.  Then, I used the Network Wizard to reconfigure the network. I changed the name of the computer, so I knew what was the new connection.  Then I copied the wizard network on a USB key and reconfigured the second computer.  Now everything works fine (I can open, edit and save files between computers) even if the readonly attribute is always highlighted on the record.

  • All my files are set to read-only. The files are not.

    All records are all my disks are set to read-only. This includes my drive c, d Bank, e-reader and my backup drive.

    The files contained in these files are not read-only. How I found out about it, was that I tried to copy / paste a file from one directory to another last night and it was not authorized. Please keep in mind that I am logged on as administrator. There is only one user, me.

    I ran a recent analysis of spyware, virus scan and checked the permissions of users. I unchecked the read-only installation and reset my pc and it still comes up read-only.

    This causes a major problem.

  • Cannot get rid of the read-only file attribute

    I have a folder on my PC which is marked read-only.  The Setup program seems set up like that.  If I right click on the folder and go to 'Properties' there is a grey checkmark on "read only".  If I have it uncheck the box, and then click OK or apply then OK, it remains unalterable (the grey tick comes).  There is no hidden file in the folder.

    How can I fix it?

    Contrary to all logic of common sense, the 'Read only' attribute, as shown in the Properties screen has absolutely nothing to do with 'Read only' when it refers to a folder in Windows XP. In fact, it indicates that it is a custom folder.  A full explanation can be found here:

    You don't mention exactly what your "problem" is with this folder, so I can not develop too much more than that.

  • I am trying to remove the read-only in a file of windows vista program

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with the program files in Windows Vista. I have a file that I need to be able to write to and I can't get out of the read-only mode. Can someone help me with this please?

    Thank you.

    You really shouldn't be messing around in the Program Files folder unless you REALLY know what you are doing, because the wrong action can cause a lot of damage to your programs (more than one in some cases).  You experience trouble intentionally caused by Vista.

    But assuming you want to do anyway for some reason, the said problem as a Teen geek is ownership and permissions.  They are particularly tight on the programs folder (and hard to get around even for people experienced in this sort of thing).

    You must you give full permissions and take ownership of the files or the folders that you intend to work with.  You may need to change the permissions of the parent due to inherited permissions folders.  You may also use the advanced permissions option to deal with special permissions (maybe change some while they are not inherited or others in order to provide the right permissions as well as the main permissions screen.  I don't know how long until you go to appropriating, but start with everything that you need and work upward only when necessary.  Here are a few guidelines for permissions and lines taken possession that should help you:

    To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

    To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  You can change now switched to read-only (even if the main folder indicates that they are always read-only - you can access yourself as the owner).  You can keep them in read-only to other users, customers and administrators even (although they can support themselves and access, if they wish, and it is really not that you can do to stop it except protect the file with a password by using a 3rd party product.)  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Writing javascript code to a box that when activated, it removes the read-only attribute in another area and allows a number against the default calculation that occur.

    I have an order entry form that calculates a sum of $ calculate markup by a formula in the section rating field simplified in the field on the tab properties.  The field of markup is set to read-only.  I also have a configuration like a checkbox.  If the user selects the check box, I need this field of markup to become editable (remove the read-only attribute) to allow a number to be entered in the field.  I guess I'd also need programmatically delete the calculation in the simplified field notation when the box has been activated.  I think I need a custom java script to trigger on mouse enter?  I could also use some help setting java script.  Someone has it all done something similar?

    Thanks in advance.

    You can no longer use the method of the "simple field notation" If you change the field in certain situations. The following script assumes that you just want to add two fields and use 25% of this amount as your markup, unless the box named "CheckBox" is checked, then the field will become editable and you can enter what you want:

    // get the state of the "CheckBox" - modify the field name to match your form
    var cb = this.getField("CheckBox");

    if (cb.value == "Off") {
        // Checkbox is unchecked, so perform the calculation and make sure the field is read-only
        event.target.readonly = true;
         // simple calculation - you need to modify this
        var result = (Number(this.getField("Field1").value) + Number(this.getField("Field2").value)) * 0.25;
        event.value = result;
    }
    else {
        // Checkbox is checked, so do not modify the value, set the field to read/write and let the user enter anything they want.
        event.target.readonly = false;
    }

  • Remove the read-only attribute from all files in a folder

    How to remove the read-only attribute from all files in a folder. I tried to use the properties and used the attrib command, but all I see is when I right click on the folder, selecting Properties, it shows once again

    I would like to start by finding which file is read-only again. This is probably a file as well as a miniature file desktop.ini.  An easy way to find it is to go to the details view, turn on the column heading "Attributes" and search for all files with the attribute value "R":

  • Eliminate the 'read only' files on DVD. Went to properties and clicked off the coast on the 'read only' box, but it does not work.

    Put some files on DVD and then tried to change them.   Receipt message they are 'read only' tried to click on 'read only' in the properties, but this does not work.  The 'read only' is back.  How can we change the files on a DVD?

    In general, once you write multi-utilisations, you can not edit the file.  If you use a rewritable media, you can delete the file and write again.

I closed the window and then reopen it and the read-only attribute is again highlighted. I am the administrator of the computer and I tried to move the folder to another location.

    Read/write attributes are not applicable to files in Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. That's why you can't change the way you do. If you try to take possession of the file, this is how:
