SetBufferTime BB SDK 7.0 does not

Hello

I would like to reduce the size of the buffer (in milliseconds) before the beginning of player, I use to Setup setBufferTime buffer size is 320 ms, but the player still wait for more than 5 seconds to start.

After here is my code

_player = Manager.createPlayer (new Datasource (null) {}

....

})

_player.addPlayerListener (this);

_player. Realize();

_player.prefetch ();

StreammingBufferControl bufferCtrl = (StreamingBufferControl) _player.getControl ("net.rim.device.api.media.control.StreamingBufferControl");

bufferCtrl.setBufferTime (320);

_player. Start();

Why can't I control the size of the buffer

Thank you

Tony

Hi Tony!

Buffering starts when the player is first read.  setBufferTime() should be called before the player is a prior extraction if you wish that the results take effect when you prefetch and start.  The final JavaDocs will indicate this, but the beta version, you have access to are not (which is why its called beta I guess!).

    How blackberry trying to compete with the other smartphone when it come to applications when the tools cannot anti same compatible with the latest version out there like Eclipse 3.6 or their plug-in for Visual Studio 2010.

    As a programmer I'm really disappointed in a business this way this long to release an SDK to the developer and not even are ready to be used with the latest tools.

    RIM has never been the fastest when it comes to development tools.

    A great tool that many people want is the GUI Builder, he announced last December, said he would come out mid-2010 (so ~ June) and we are still waiting.

    As annoying as it is, we are simply working around him, when it comes to our development time reduction but we still have options if the tool does not work or you don't like how it works.

  • WebWorks SDK/Plug In does not

    I installed the following but still get errors when I compile Isaiah:

    Visual Studio 2008

    SDK Webworks

    Java JDK 1.6.24 - 32-bit

    VS9 Webworks 2.5 plugin

    I also tried to set the environment variable as well in C:\Program Files (x86)\java\jdk1.6.0_24\bin

    The errors I get are as follows:

    1 error occurred during initialization of VM

    2. unable to load native library: cannot load the .dll AMD 64-bit on a 32-bit IA platform

    3 CreateCodFile failed

    I should mention I am running Windows 7 Home Premium N, 64 bit, don't know if that makes a difference.  It is only for the development of the telephone, not the Playbook.

    Thanks for all the thoughts and advise.

    Solved the problem.  After several uninstalls and reinstalls without a bit of luck, I did one last time.  This time, however, once I deleted the Java through the Control Panel, I went and deleted the file itself from the Program Files (x 86) folder.  Then, after the reinstallation of brand-new, it works.  I think that even if I uninstalled it before, it was still referencing the 64 bit JDK that has been installed in both previous.

  • ToolbarButton of SDK 6.0 does not work

    Hello

    I use BlackBerry SDK 6.0. I created a ToolbarManager, added some ToolbarButtonFields and then I added ToolbarManager to the main VerticalManagerField. It works fine, all toolbar buttons work as expected.

    But the problem is when I using setStatus (toolbarManager). In this case, none of the buttons work.

    Here is my code:

    ToolbarManager tbManager = new ToolbarManager (Field.USE_ALL_WIDTH);

    StringProvider spTest = new StringProvider ("Test button");
    ToolbarButton tbbTest = new ToolbarButtonField (getImage ("test.png"), spTest);
    tbbTest.setCommand (new command (new CommandHandler() {}
    public void execute (ReadOnlyCommandMetadata metadata, object context)
    {
    Dialog.Inform ("toolbar button clicked");
    }
    }));

    tbManager.add (tbbTest);

    the line taken out - no action is displayed when you click on the button
    setStatus (tbManager);

    the line taken out - it works, but I like the toolbar located at the bottom of the screen
    vmMainManager.add (tbManager);

    What Miss me? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    You may want to substitute the touchEvent.  If so, you're probably demolish the event for the Manager of the toolbar that you want to use.

    Sorry, I'm noob in developing c ++. Is it possible by using various projects such as libraries? I have not used before projects before library in c ++ and I do not know how to configure them properly.

    It is possible to use this library with an absolute path?

    https://github.com/BlackBerry/Cascades-samples/BLOB/master/pushCollector/10.2/pushCollector/.cprojec...

    I was able to run the example.

    The order in the sequence of generation is very important. When I built the correct order, that I was able to correctly generate the package of the project PushCollector and then I could deploy on the device. The sequence is, in case anyone has the same problem:

    -Clean all projects

    -Create a 'pushCollectorCommon '.

    -Create a 'pushCollectorHeadless '.

    -Create a 'pushCollector '.

    -Run 'pushCollector' to the device (I used a Dev Alpha B with 10.2.0.1445, the Simulator does not work)

  • Windows SDK RegGetValue compiles but does not run program

    I'm porting software from another library that I have that uses native Windows. After writing a small test NI CVI 9.0 program, I found that the RegGetValue() function when it is used, translates into a program that does not work (will not yet be debug with an error on files not being is not in the path). Delete this single line and it works where it is supposed to.

    CVI9 programming interface Toolbox has a function to read the registry, but why it will work with the standard Windows SDK? Is it possible that I can get RegGetValue() to work as documented by MSDN in CVI?

    I tried including ADVAPI32. LIB and ADVAPI32_LVRT. LIB and no work (in the folder lib/MSVC)

    It worries me that the WinSDK is not compatible with CVI and I don't know where I can find this information on the compatibility.

    Thank you

    Jason.

    What operating system do you use? According to MSDN, minimum supported OSs are Windows Vista and Windows XP Professional x 64. The same paper suggests on Win XP SP2 to use SHRegGetValueinstead. You can also watch RegQueryValueEx statement.

  • SDK WebWorks does not, apply a few lots

    Today, I downloaded the SDK of Web works, but it does not apply. Any lot, .js and records, etc. Am I missing something?

    I'm new to this too, but I was also initially puzzled.  If you are looking for an IDE, there is nothing in there.  Since you basically build a HTML5 with CSS and Javascript, you can use your IDE of choice for putting this together.   When you test your application by using the ripple through the chrome browser extension, it will be referece webworks framework when your application is running.

    See: http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/setting_up_your_tools.html for more information.

  • error 'BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR does not support mobile projects."

    Hello

    I installed Adobe Flash Builder Burrito and Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 on Windows 7. When I start to create a new project by selecting the ' New/ActionScript Mobile Project' menu, then in the new dialog box project of Mobile of ActionScript, I give a project name, and then choose 'BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe Air. At this point, the 'Next' button is gray on an error message on top as "BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR does not support mobile projects.". Is there something that I am missing?

    I read somewhere someone comlains error message "BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR support not projects mobile." occurs after installing Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 while there is no problem with Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.3. If it is true, where can I download Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.3?

    Thank you very much in advance,

    @johnwneg, make sure that when installing FB Burrito, you:

    (1) run the installer as administrator.

    (2) select English International rather than NA English.

  • 2014.0 CC InDesign does not recognize plugins built with CC 2014.0 SDK on Mac

    Hi all

    I build plugins for InDesign CC 2015.4 using CC 2015.4 SDK and they worked very well on Mac. I used Xcode version 7.3.1 (7 1014) and I have OSX 10.8 SDK copied from an earlier version of Xcode and displayed it in the list of Xcode 7.3.1 Base SDK. But when I compile the same plugins with the same version of Xcode, but with CC 2014.0 SDK InDesign CC 2014.0 then displays this alert at startup:

    'Adobe InDesign does not recognize MyPlugin.InDesignPlugin' as a plug-in. Please reinstall the MyPlugin.InDesignPlugin"plugin and restart InDesign. »

    The bad news is that the same message that I get even though I build plugins like BasicDialog or BasicPanel SDK sample. Don't know if this is related to the minor changes that I did in the projects in the sample and make to compile.

    When I open any project SDK sample and try to build it I get error:

    "ld: file not found: @executable_path/InDesignModel.framework/Versions/A/InDesignModel for x86_64 architecture.

    to resolve this issue, I added 'InDesignModel.framework' of ' < SDK-folder > / build/mac/release_cocoa64/packagefolder/contents/macos "to"Binary link with libraries"list

    After that, I get another error:

    "Undefined symbols for x86_64 architecture:

    "_objc_readClassPair", referenced from:

    __ARCLite__load() in libarclite_macosx.a (arclike.o).

    to fix this, I changed implicitly "link Objective - C Runtime option supported" the 'yes' to 'No' as suggested here:

    The undefined symbols: "_objc_readClassPair" when o... | Apple Developer Forums

    I changed this option in my plugins CC2015.4 too and CC2015.4 InDesign loaded this plugins very well.

    After these changes plugin built successfully, but when I copy this plugin in the folder "/ Applications / Adobe InDesign CC 2014/Plug-Ins/SDK ' then InDesign displays alerts above.

    Anyone has idea what Miss me? Thank you very much!

    Hi vadim Pachaev,.

    According to the SDK, you will need to use Xcode 5.0.1.

    InDesign CC 2015 is available in 32-bit and 64-bit. You must create your plugin as the two versions. Have you checked that?
