Hi all

Thanks :)

Hello

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have exactly?
You try to install recovery image using HARD drive recovery option, or you try to install the recovery DVD disc image?

I hope that you have created this recovery image backup (installation of bootable recovery disc).

    > if I downloaded this Microsoft Windows and used the S.N I, if it works correctly?
N ° serial number has nothing to do with the recovery image.

If you want to have the original Toshiba installed on your laptop recovery image you must order the Toshiba recovery disc - https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Another option is to install the clean version of the OS and later install all necessary drivers, tools and utilities more. Each of them you can find and download from Toshiba support page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  • Cannot install recovery image on satellite Pro P300-1EX

    Hello.

I have never had many problems with a single laptop in my lifetime of work. I'm almost ready to throw this thing out the window. I have a satellite pro p300-1EX.

I wanted to do an install new os just to make things a bit faster for the customer, it was 8 hours ago.

First, I installed a Home Windows OEM pre 32B version. Then I saw that the CD would not work.

So, Okay - I'll bring back factory default:

    (1) there is no link repair starting and pressing F8
    (2) there is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
    (3) there is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
    (4) I try to download recovery disk creator bloody software and get this - it does not work. It creates a shortcut to a file that's not here yet. TRDCLcher.exe, can you, im speechless.

So now, I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me? I don't think so.

So, what can I please? It was a horrible experience. Nothing works. The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it. Instealing the OEM deleted all tools by default, but I can't NOT THE DOWNLOAD.

    Please, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Maybe it sounds stupid now, but this is simply.

Here's my explanation of how it works:
Almost 4 or 5 years Toshiba offers laptops without recovery DVD but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. As much I know about former Satellite/Satellite Pro P300 recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder named HDDRecvery. This model laptop was shipped with Windows Vista.

As you know original recovery image can be installed n in two ways:
-You can use the recovery HARD drive installation method - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
-You can use the created recovery DVD disk

HARD drive recovery facility can be made if the laptop has only factory settings. In this case in advanced startup options (F8), you will have the option to fix my computer. If the notebk has been installed with the version of the OS or any other operating system of this option won't be available more. Because of this Toshiba has preinstalled reminder with the message for owners of laptops create recovery DVDs.

    Your questions:
    > There is no link repair starting and pressing F8
If this laptop doesn t have to factory settings it will not appear in the advanced startup options
    > There is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
If you have European book this model with zero will not work. It only works with the United States and Austraian mobile.
    > There is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
I put t understand it. What happens when you start with the OEM version?
    > I am trying to download bloody recovery disc creator software
If you have the European model of laptop, it can not be downloaded. This piece of software is included in the recovery image only.

    > So now I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me
I understand, but at least with the original recovery DVD you can install OS and all necessary things in an hour only.
    > The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it.
Yes. Without factory settings you will not have access to these data.

    Follow these steps:
-start your laptop and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings
-set the BIOS to default settings and reboot the laptop
-When the laptop reboots press F12 to get into the boot meny
-When the boot menu appears on the screen put the original DVD of recovery in ODD
-Choose the CD/DVD drive on the list and press ENTER
This will force it's STRANGE to be the first boot device and you should see process on the loading screen. Click next or OK nothing change and wait for the recovery procedure starts.

Please try it and let me know exactly what is happening.

  • Cannot install on my laptop Satellite Toshiba recovery image

3 days before my computer was infected Wavec a virus... i must format it... When I format it I see the original file of HDD regenerator is remove my partition I have on it my works. in any case I shut down the computer and I install from another cd and I put the serial number and everything is ok. but some programs does not work and I want to restore my computer back to the orginal OS with the drivers. HDDRecovery file is in drive D, and I see it's almost 13GB but I can install it. There no option of computer repair at HDDRecover... which in my opinion the first time...

    How I can solve it...

I want to recover my computer to the orginal... I see there are a few problems when I work with programs... it of freeze and give me some errors...
    I want to give orginal...

You can install the original recovery image and set laptop to factory settings using two possible options:
d ' use HARD drive recovery facility (F8 at startup and repair my computer option)
d ' use of recovery DVDs

If I understand you right that you have installed OS own hoping to use your laptop, but on this path that you deleted this repair my computer option so that you will not be able to start the installation of the HARD disk. Your only option is the use of recovery DVDs.

Now the $ 1 million question: did you create DVDs of recovery following the advice of Toshiba to do this?

  • Problem installing WLAN Driver on Satellite C850-1CW

I had to reinstall the Windows the laptop provided with (I'm now on Windows 7) and so I need to get all the drivers. This proves to be a huge problem.

According to the information of the system PCI WIFI card ID is
    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV _8723 & SUBSYS_072310EC & REV_00\4 & 13FD83EA & 0 & 00E1

Which leads me to believe the WLAN card is Realtek 8191SE. I went to the website of Realtek and even check Web sites and tried to download and install all drivers that seems to fit card but none have worked, and the network controller remains unknown.

    Any ideas?

(Drivers Ethernet and Bluetooth installed without problems, by the way)

    Thank you

Your Satellite Pro - 1CW C850 has Realtek RTL8723AE WLAN card inside.
The WLAN drivers you can download from the Toshiba WLAN portal - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

All pilots proposed as part of the recovery image there.

  • Problem installing operating system with Satellite L30 (PSL33E)

    Hi all.

So I got a laptop from my firiend from set. Now what he told me is it. He plays a game and the laptop froze. He pressed the power button and restarted the laptop. After restarting the laptop it says windows has recovered from a serious error. After that he could log on to his computer. Then he used the toshiba recovery cd, but this only corrected the problem for a short time.

Now when he gave it to me I started and he tried to load vista it says that there is a missing file: wdsuti.dll and I had an ErrorCode:0x3E7. I looked this error and then I formatted the drive and tried a fresh install of vista.

Vista installed fine up to the point where it asks to restart the computer once it restarted it could not load again.
Now, I tried another disc as the XP disc I install XP and then use the vista upgrade disc but the same thing happens.

At the moment im trying another installation of vista. It has installed vista, but is running very very slow and took forever to install. From his first start, he crashed and came up with this error message:

    Cannot start Windows

    file: windows\system32\config\system

    status: 0xc00000e9

Now I'm stumped with an im PC very well I can remove the parts and exchange them etc.
I guess that the hard drive is dying.
Am wrong me, or would be - this another problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Also note that I have reset the BIOS default settings and am now running Windows memory diagnostic tool.

What is the result after you run the Windows memory diagnostic tool?

  • Problem installing XP on the Satellite X 200 - 25 d

I had problems when installing XP on my laptop. So I had to use a SATA F6 driver during the installation of XP, XP detects the SATA HDD controller.

OK, I download from thosiba: Intel Matrix Storage Manager - 7.5.0.1017
I don't have what is appropriate for my laptop ICH7M_32bit or ICH8M_32bit... I try with all the... I use a disc of perrine external usb and press F6.

Okay, and then select partition to install xp and then tell me insert the driver in the diskette, but I never take off! give enter and don't hapends nothing! only you can press F3 to quit... Anyone have this problem? !!

Try also made a cd of xp with the nlite but I install with this cd and me not say again no HARD drive...

Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!

I read somewhere on the net that sometimes the floppy drive may not be recognized correctly and in most cases, this is the reason why the installation of the SATA driver may fail.

I think you should try other way to include the SATA drivers.
    Been to nLite?

Its freeware tool and it help to include drivers in the XP CD.

  • Problem installing Windows XP on Satellite A100

I have a Toshiba A100 with Windows XP (German) and I would like to clean install Windows XP (English). At the start of the CD installation normally inspects the hardware configuration, but after that it crashes. I left it for 15-20 minutes but there was no response, and then I had to leave the facility.

The installation guide for windows xp says it has something to do with the hardware compatibility. (I tried pressing F5, F6, F7 to skip this step, but did not help)
I tried the same installation CD on the laptop from my friend (of another brand) and it worked! I wonder what is so specific as to the compatibility of equipment for Toshiba laptop with windows xp.

However, my (German OS) recovery CD works great!

    Hello

Seems that you tried to install the drivers bad for bad notebook series.
Satellite A100-813 belongs to the series of PSAA8E and the laptop was equipped with Wireless 3945ABG Intel and Intel Pro/100 LAN card network card.

If both are of the Intel chips.
Check the Toshiba pilot European page again and try reinstalling the drivers!

  • Cannot install recovery image on Satellite C660

    Hello
I tried to restore a Satellite C660 factory settings because it be extremely slow to start.

Using the original Toshiba recovery disks the process gets to half way through and then gives the following messages...

    Error restoring image
    The device is not ready

ERROR: ImageX could not be Win7 V:\HDDRecovery\SWImg\15489XSP.swm Index 2 HARD C: drive!

    If someone can advise?
    Thank you

Unfortunately there is no workaround to force the recovery image installation runs correctly.
All you can do right now is to set the BIOS to default settings and use the drive recovery again.
Make sure that the disc is clean.

Do you use the recovery disc for the first time?

  • Cannot install recovery image on Satellite C650D

    Hello

I have a C650D who fell just out of warranty and died on me. I did the recovery discs to purchase then thought that it would be a simple matter to use and I would be able to use the laptop again... seems I was mistaken :(

I tried the F8 key at startup to option and all I get is the following message is displayed:
No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key.

I inserted the recovery disk and after an amount of noise from the hard drive and windows message takes over the files then I got a box asking me to choose the language I wanted, followed by an error message that there is something missing... I don't have the time to write down full seizure quit on me. After trying to load (incase there was something wrong with the first attempt) get the windows loading page then nothing...

Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this please?

    Thanks in advance

    > No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key.
I fear this message has something to do with Mr. HARD disk HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS settings?

If so, the value please BIOS to the default settings and use recovery DVD again.

By the way: you can see the language option, but you can not choose another language than the original language, you got with your laptop. In other words if you have BONES of the Spain, you can't choose another language. You have only BONE on the Spain.
