setTimeInMillis (long) protected access

Hi ppl,

I m using the calendar in a simple application, in this area, I hv to retrieve the current time of the following function from

long startTime = System.currentTimeMillis ();

Because, this returns the time in milliseconds, I wn to set the type of a civil proceeding that is

Calendar c = Calendar.GetInstance ();

c.setTimeInMillis (Milliseconds);               ; This line gives err

But it's on the compilation gives an error, setTimeInMillis (long) has protected access in java.util.Calendar. Please, I beg you. help!

I m using JDE 4.6.1.23

Absolutely Yes!... You could get System.currentMillis before and after call and then calculate the difference and then dividing it by the thousands allows you to get the seconds total serving... No need to date format and all...

See you soon...
