  Under OS 10.11.6, on iMac and MacBook Air iPad and iPhone running iOS 9.3.5.  I can't sync my Contacts.  Each device has a different set of Contacts.  Help please.

  You synchronize using iCloud? Are there contacts on my Mac?

  Try to go to iCloud.com to see if the elements are there and whether the device or the computer. That should indicate if the device or computer is not synchronizing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing. If the device, go to settings/iCloud and do the foregoing. You can also try connecting to iCloud and then reconnect.

  How do I set the Contact list so that it is visible all the time and I can just click on the Contact and open an email to them? It seems that I had this option first.

  You can activate a Contact component in the window of writing. F9 IIRC.

• Contacts not syncing between iCloud/iOS and "on my Mac".

  I very recently discovered contacts that I create on iOS website or iCloud does not synchronize to the section "on my Mac" (i.e. a local copy) of the Contacts and contacts created in the group "on my Mac" inside the Contacts.app will not sync to iCloud and iOS.

  I drove most of the discussions in the forum and tried all the remarkable solutions, and none have worked for me:

  -Put iCloud and extinguish in iCloud Prefs

  -turn on/contacts turn off in prefs Internet accounts

  -Group iCloud toggle in the pref Contacts.app pane

  -different versions of the above Contacts.app is leaving or quitting smoking in specific order

  On a side note, I also recently started having crashes repetitive .app Contacts when you try to type in the search classified all contacts; whereas research on behalf of any group has worked well.

  I went up to destroy ~/Library/Application Support / address book (after saving an archive on my Mac) and starting with a new "on my Mac' database.» Solved the crash of research, it has not solved the problems of synchronization.

  Finally, I resorted to copy all contacts to iCloud and hanging out in "on my Mac", which is temporarily resolved the question of having a set of contacts stored locally, so I can work in offline mode. It does not, however, solve the problem to know what contacts that were created on my Mac are gone, because they do not synchronize to iCloud in the first place. I hope that I'll have to go through the ugly to reimport process archive backup and try to merge more than 1200 contacts to retrieve those on my Mac, but then iCloud still will not have these missing contacts without synchronization.

  So, is this expected today at El Capitan and iOS behavior 9? How can I find out when manually drag the new iOS/iCloud contacts on my Mac? And vice versa?

  Seems to me Syncing should be only that. synchronization not only icloud, iOS, but also and on my Mac, just the way that it used to work.

  Anyone have any new ideas?

  Your first paragraph is normal. On my Mac contacts will not sync to iCloud. If you want to synchronize, you must add to iCloud.

• Skype duplicate contacts and merge Outlook Contacts

  Skype has just decided to synchronize my Skype contacts with my Outlook contacts, resulting in a gigantic mess. I would like to keep these two separate worlds, although there may be few people on both lists. Reason is that I consider my Outlook Contacts more private - only people close belongs there. So I use my Skype account in labor, of course, different sets of contacts.

  Current state is when my Outlook Contacts, I can see people from Skype, in the calendar, I see birthday events of Skype accounts (I don't like really not on). In addition, some duplicate contacts or even tripled in my list (and 'Cleaning' Outlook is not able to handle these).

  -How to restore this synchronization, delete Skype from Outlook Contacts contacts

  -How to keep Skype/MSA of this yet (other than creating separate accounts or don't use only not Skype at all)

  -How to not have synchronized contacts, but with MSA associated with Skype, FB, LinkedIn and Twitter, so I can see pictures of people dedicated to my contacts

  Where/how to connect me to Skype

  -Skype on desktop

  -Skype on iOS (my main phone, where all contacts appear messy way)

  -Skype running on my WP with 10 Windows mobile installed (my phone of dust collection)

  (I don't really know if this is the question on the side of Skype or Microsoft - I see redundancy developing UWP Skype app, which could be the source of this issue; in any case, please fill bug for this issue)

  After some time trying to figure out what is the problem and how to fix it, I simply decided to untie MSA of Skype... Indeed, on the side of Skype it was done immediately, unfortunately it took Oultook.com almost a week to stop showing me the Skype contacts.

• I lost my Skype contacts when I detached and linked to my account of Ms. How can I restore my contacts?

  Recently, I posted and linked to my MS account for the unknown problem of 'conversation', but that leads to a problem even more serious where I lost all of my Skype contacts.

  I have experienced support and there is no solution, they can give me. They did a restore of my supposed deleted contacts, but that did not help. They can't check if a Skype name that I provide figure in the restored list. The proposed support is to search and add contacts. I tried with only 3 and I dropped, every name has like 30 entries and 5 of them seemed to be possible contacts.

  All the world faced this problem before and managed to resolve it?

  I thought that I would lose my MSN contacts, has ended until I lose my Skype contacts. Blows my mind when linking and disassociate an external set of contacts delete contacts from the original application. This whole experience is the worst ever using software.

  OK my thread before all my problem that I can't buy the itunes gift card... Now, a big problem happens.

  so my problem has been resolved and I can sent a gift to my friends, but then the error came again. I contact apple support chat and they even said as before. And surprisly, they ended without me confirming my cat! After that when I try to download a free app on the appstore a pop up show that my ID apple has been disabled! What a great shame. So maybe the support do not like me and they disable my account? Apple very embarrassed, very ashamed. I feel the support treat me like a thief. Perhaps, I buy a gift with my credit card!

  I hope someone from apple read this and help me solve my problems.

  Apple are not here, these are user forums.

  If it is disabled for security reasons: If your identifier Apple is locked - Apple supports (disconnect you, then back in anywhere after reset)

  If that is not set then contact technical support for your country and see if they can / will reactivate

• Contact not available by Email

  I'm new to the business of any smartphone.

  I've set up Contacts in sync with my Gmail account.

  I also have a server account set up POP3 email.

  When I start a new email, contacts available for selection are not the same as those in the Contacts application (or the Gmail app). Contacts are missing from the email app.

  I deleted all the contacts and re-sync, but the problem comes back.

  Can anyone help?

  Richard, you spotted.

  I exported my contacts from Gmail and read in Excel. Fields in all directions, the result of the merger of the old software/program contacts change etc.

  -J' carefully edited a contact in Gmail and exported that a single contract.  This gave me the correct model.

  -Export all the contacts from WLM (my main e-mail program).

  -Transfer the appropriate columns of the WLM.csv to the new model of Gmail and saved as a .csv file

  -Remove all contacts in Gmail

  -Delete all contacts on my phone

  -New model any csv Gmail

  -re - sync the phone for new contacts in Gmail. (note that I got a sync error - I deleted the Google account and added it)

  -FIXED!

  So, not a problem of Sony at all.

  There is no icon new Contact or a New Group on my toolbar in windows mail. Therefore, there is no way to manually add these objects. I don't see a way to add the icon. Help, please.

  Open the Contacts folder > right click in an empty area on the right > choose personalize > set the Contacts folder type in the drop-down list.

  When you integrate a Facebook account that all your contacts will be synchronized to your device, you cannot select specific contacts.

  That being said, you can optionally hide your Facebook contacts and don't have Facebook data appear on contacts from another location, such as your e-mail address if you link contacts.

  To hide a set of contacts such as Facebook, open the Contacts application, further down from the top of the screen and tap Settings and then turning off Facebook.

  Just got my new classic and I * love * it!

  I'm trying to solve a few quirks that could help me...

  I've got 3 of my albums set up contacts for specific colors of sound notifications and notification LED

  They are saved, but they do not appear as such when I get texts from them

  Also, I tried to define the profile of the phone calls only to vibrate for text messages and 'Whatsapp' but it doesn't.

  What I'm missing here?

  You cannot set individual customizations for the only 'Phone calls' profile You can only do this for the "Normal" profile

  If you need more of a personalized profile, I create a new call 'Phone calls + texts' and customize it.

  set up contacts group & save.  Once this is done, go to each Member of the group, touch & hold, it will turn blue & give you a small box on the right side, with 2 black boxes, a white box & a tick.

  The following code, I got the blackberry Forum, takes almost 26 minutes to create 2000 random contacts using the PIM API of BB on one set of 8500 series. Does anyone have an idea why it takes so long or how to improve the performance of creation of contact in the address book?

  HM... 26 minutes for 2000 contacts means ms 780 by a contact.

  (1) you can check contact.commit (); is not the call much more time here? You could do that relatively accurate with sth like this:

  long timeSpentOnCommits; defined somewhere at a higher level
  ...
  Start long = System.currentTimeMillis ();
  contact.Commit ();
  took a long time = System.currentTimeMillis () - start;
  timeSpentOnCommits += taken;
  ...
  then after that all contacts have been added, you can get
  an hour of average validation:
  long timePerOneCommit = timeSpentOnCommits / 2000;
  Discover the obtained value in a 'dialogue' or a logging

  If it takes most of the time, so I don't think you can improve it.

  (2) another idea - in the loop 'for' you create too many String objects, so this forces the operating system to call the garbage collection too frequently (which is a thing of your time).

  Use StringBuffer instead. So instead of the

  StringBuffer.append () is too important for any primitive type, so it can accept integer (ints) and the characters directly without needing to be converted into String objects.

  The same approach should be used for the generation of phone numbers.

  (3) minor speed improvements could be obtained by the extraction of all repetition of the loop calls "for". For example, just count how many times you call to arrSzAlphas.length (iterations 2000 * 4 calls per iteration = 8000 times!), while you could call ONCE before the loop and store it in a visible final local variable of the loop. It is the same for a set of contacts.isSupportedXXXX calls - you must call him not included in all iterations, just call him once before the start of the loop.
