Setup of blackBerry Smartphone email and BBM number on 9780

Hi all

Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

For bbm:

I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

Please help, I don't want to empty this phone!

Hello abhijit17

Did you mean that your emails and text messages are coming in the same folder? If so then try the following-

    Separate messages-> Options-> General Options-> E-mail and SMS: separate

If you mean your different built-in emails appearing in mail and separate mail folder then please be informed that this default happenes. BlackBerry smartphone is designed as such if you think this is awkward, can hide Messages folder (press the Alt button-> click-> Menu select hide).

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphone email and SMS

    Hello

I just got a Blackberry Pearl. I have it configured to receive my email. Now, there's an icon of e-mail and all the email go. BUT it also started to go in the folder is the repository for SMS text messages. If someone told me to go to the General options, select SMS and email inboxes and choose separate.  I did, but the net result that the SMS folder displays only my email and the email folder also shows my email.

The only way to access my SMS Inbox is to select options menu, select display folder, and then select Inbox SMS which is a bit heavy.

How can I fix that so my emails go to my e-mail folder and the SMS go to my SMS folder?

Also is there a way to prevent the Blackberry to notify all my time, I get a new email. I'm fine with notification when I get a new SMS?

    Thank you

    Sandip

Nope. The 'message' icon is not the icon of your text. When you hover over the icon text he say 'SMS and MMS' If you are some e-mail and sms are set to separate and you did battery pull start looking. The icon can found in your application folder according to your theme. Check everywhere. Also, click on the menu and select Show all if it is present. And only look look look. Let me know if you find it or not.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Email and wireless Internet

    Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry. I have a 8220 and I want to configure my email. I have a wireless signal that takes on the phone but when I set up my email, T-Mobile wants me to pay for internet. Can I receive emails and view the Web through my wireless phone?

    Thanks, BG

In BigGuy - without the BlackBerry data Plan, you get a lot of peripheral functions, such as email, RIM-driven, the normal BlackBerry browser, BlackBerry Messenger, etc.

You must have the BB data for this Plan.

You can set your browser to the Hotspot browser (Options > Advanced > browser) and surfing the net and as. You can browser to your webmail from google and work from there... but not in the messages folder, because you do not pay the full of the BlackBerry data Plan that allows that.

You will be limited in function, but you get what you pay for, and some people like you choose to do it this way.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email and get a duplicate

Okay, it's REALLY bugging me now, and I STILL yet to find a TRUE answer.

When I SEND an email, either by computer or my "BOLD", I get a copy of the e-mail message.

How to PREVENT COPIES of come to me.

My company just to move from Outlook to GOOGLE Mail and two accounts CAN be used for e-mail, maybe THAT has something to do with it?

Whatever it is, I look FORWARD now, send e-mails because I get a COPY of every email that I send.

Hide messages DOES NOT work, so not need this answer.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcme the supprt frums and sure you can! Go to your MESSAGES icon, press the BLACKBERRY button or Menu, go - go to OPTIONS - GENERAL OPTIONS - key down to SMS and E-MAIL, and then click SEPARATE!

  • Images of blackBerry Smartphones Email and Blackberry Maps

Hi, im a blackberry "BOLD" user to Singapore. Whenever I open my emails, images appear. When I tried to click on the options to get images, it still does not show.

Second part, I can't install blackberry maps on my phone as my phone version is a later version

I think that these two problems are related to the fact that your data plan "is a bit limited."

If your carrier offers the BlackBerry data plan, you will need to get things to work properly. Otherwise, I am surprised that you even get e-mails.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email set up and old problems owner

My brother gave me his old storm. I put my t mobile account chip and bought the data plan and most of the functionality seems to work (I think).

Email my brother is still in the e-mail button and blackberry cannot connect to the mail server so that I can enjoy his email and put mine.

Also when I make a call the "My number" shows the number of my brother.

Is there a way to fix this. He needs to unregister somewhere. He needs to go to his carrier Version to change something?

    Hello aviator1997,

Well all you have to do is your wireless service provider or the carrier and let them activate BIS or blackberry Internet service in your account to take advantage of the services of Blackberry like BBM, Facebook, email and much more. Call them and see what they can offer.

    Good luck

  • Smartphones blackBerry Contacts, Emails, and text has DISAPPEARED!

I have a BB Bold 9900 and went to use a flashlight app already installed on the phone.  The phone closed and restarted.   When it started back I lost everything?  Don't know why or how.  What I'm concerneced everything becomes everything back.   I was able to recover images lost with a data recovery program.  That being said I'm sure I can do the same for the other missing information, contacts and emails etc...   What I can not find and have looked everywhere on the support forums is what is the name of the contacts folder and where he might be going through windows Explorer.   No, I was not smart enough to make a backup of the phone before it went then restore on a precedent to back up is completely out of the question.   Thanks in advance for any direction or help with my problem.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is no 'file' to recover contacts, or calendar, messages, or any other protected databases:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

All those who were in the protect the area of AppMemory, which is not accessible by other than the BB OS itself (more the various facilities of backup available). Therefore, for contacts, unless you have a source non - BB data to restore, you have lost the.

For future reference, here is a discussion about backups:

Good luck... but I'm sorry for your loss.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BES and BIS emails for display separation

Just bought a Bold 9000 (my first BB) and very disappointed that separation of BES and BIS emails is not a standard feature. BES can be displayed via the files of common messages that shows everything, including BIS emails/SMS/IM etc. BIS messages can be seen in their respective folder (i.e. yahoo/gmail)

There is a product like know empower (http://www.getempower.com/)is a PURCHASABLE third party product that is supposed to separate the mails, but it is certainly a good way to provide this functionality as part of your product that I won't have to sift through all of my emails and understand those who are BES/BIS.

Empower the BTW does not work on later versions of the o/s of BB and this means that the "BOLD" is assigned. Come on guys, the sort...! Either buy empower and integrate into your device where it can be updated with your resource ample or build something that focuses a bit more to the needs of the customer.

BES 4.1.5 gives you an option to separate BIS and BES mail. Also the sms/mms can be separated as well.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email Setup - Windows LiveMail error - update failed

Hello everyone, I'll try to be as accurate as possible, I'm sorry, until find us this first situation first, screenshots will have to wait.

I made the turn on the merry-go-round of configuration e-mail for more than a few hours now and I can't understand what could possibly impede this simple installation procedure. I forget something obvious ridiculously here?

Hooked up to a B - Berry Curve 9300 by Koodoo Mobile here in Canada a few days ago.

The package includes 2 GB of data, a text access and calling the package with visual voicemail.

Everything seems to work normally, I mean, I go to Configuration > email accounts (there is a short break, the software checks the updates), and then I get to the email settings window where you can choose among different messaging clients (Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Windows Live...)

By clicking on Windows Live, this opens up a submenu (@hotmail.com, @msn.com, @live.com)

I have scroll and select @hotmail.com enter my address complete email and password - hit continue and I get the error message "failed to update".

I have BES activated/installed or do I need to download a book service?

Do I need to adjust mobile settings in Windows Live?

Should I throw my curve of B-Berry under a bus and hope for the best?

On that last note, but what gives a joke? Any help appreciated and thanks in advance to all contributors.

I could not find all the answers on this forum about the error message that I received everything trying to implement my client WindowsLive Mail.

A quick call to Koodo Mobile quickly solved the problem. The technician would however not specify the cause of the problem. I know that Service books were broadcast on my device, as we had to check that the device has been registered on the network by means of access to the host Routing Table (Options > Search Bar > type in host , and then scroll down to select the host Routing Table - use the Menu key to save) and then I turned off the BB Curve 9300 removed the battery for 30 seconds and then reinstalled the battery allowing the machine to start.

    Everything works perfectly now.

You can reach Customer Service at 1-866-99-KOODO (1-866-995-6636).

Hope that this help anyone having similar problems with their BB Curve 9300.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones only restore BBM contacts - how?

    Hello

How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

No, you're not... the latest version is 6.1.0 Bundle 34...

See this KB for a list of all databases on the BB:

    • KB03974 List of all databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.
