Setup of Microsoft Office 2016

I was installing Microsoft Office 2016 on my Macbook Pro (mid-2010, processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, memory of 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, 46,72 GB of storage, OS X El Capitan) when it froze at 'Execute the Scripts in package' I waited for about half an hour, and he has not yet changed. I tried to restart my computer, but that didn't work. I don't know what to do. Please help quickly, I need Office for my school work.

You must have the latest version of Mac OS X installed 10.11.6. Restart your Mac and then reinstall Office for Mac 2016. As soon as you get it installed, make sure that it contains the latest updates.

To 2016 Office, select the instructions section, select Office for home - install on a Mac.

  • Re-setup of Microsoft Office

So after reformatting my computer, I tried to re - install my microsoft office 2007 home and student and it says "to install and use this product on a computer, the computer must be running at least Microsoft Windows XP service pack 2 (SP2).» Correct the problem and restart the installation. "I have no idea what this means and what I have to do to allow my microsoft office run.  Help please... and if you need any other information make me know. Thank you!!

You must install Windows XP Service Pack 2, because since you have made a recovery and reinstalles Windows it's return to Service Pack 1.

It just so, click Start, programs, and on top, click Windows Update.

Continue to make updates and service pack will be available. Can you take an hour or two for the updates, but once u get, it you get it.

    Then Office installs fine.

  • Microsoft Office Word 2016 and battery drain

I have a macbook with OS X El Capitan air and recently installed microsoft office 2016, noticing a huge difference in my battery life.

It seems that the issue is Word 2016, because excel and powerpoint work as usual; but since the word is the program used mostly I noticed the issue and he has seen a few posts about this in the internet.

  • Someone had experience with MS Office 2016 and El Capitan?

I was wondering if anyone has used Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac with OS 10.11.5 for awhile, especially Word?

I just finished setting up a new of the retina end 2015 13 "Macbook Pro.  I used Office 2004 and 2008 on my old Macbook (early 2006, OS 10.6.8).)  I'm a writer, so I use especially Word and Entourage for email. (I kept 2004 because I had a lot of trouble with the Word 2008 .docx files in Snow Leopard and 2004 .doc files compatibility seem to crash less often, although the MS told me that 2004 theoretically will not work with Snow Leopard).

Have been planning to shell out for 2016 Office for Mac, I am dreading out of it because I know from experience that things are never perfectly with any part of the office and there is always a learning curve.  So today I discovered that the resolution of a problem with Apple Care that Word 2008, who immigrated in my new computer with all the rest, can always open old Word files.  So even though I'm assuming that I couldn't go back to work until I installed Office 2016, it seems I can, which is good because I have a date limit.

However, I am uncomfortable to work in Word 2008.  I need to decide whether to risk losing data (I have no reason to believe that Word suddenly remembered how to do automatic recovery or figure out how not to crash OS 10.11.5; probably the contrary) or install Office 2016 and spend a week learning to work in it. Questions:

    1. those who have Office 2008 for Mac tried using Word 2008 for Mac OS 10.11.5? It crash a lot?  Forget all about Auto Recovery etc. ? Or has it been pretty smooth sailing?

2 anyone used Word in OS 10.11.5 a few months, and how it you please?  I know that 2016 Office for Mac had a lot of glitches when it first came out in 2015 for use in El Capitan, although I read that those who have been fixed.  If you use Word a lot, do you think that it works as it is supposed to?

3 how easy or problematic has find you the transition from Word 2008 for Mac-2016 of the word?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice about all this - much appreciated!

I use Office for Mac 2016 and have found no problem - but I'm not a heavy user and did not use from 2008. My main reason for the assignment is to say that you can also get feedback from the Community for Office for Mac forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 has: HP8500A does not print the programs in Microsoft office in color

I don't really know when this problem started, as I often do not print Microsoft Office files on this printer, but today I tried to print things in 2013 of Microsoft Office.  Even if the grayscale setting has been disabled - they always printed on this printer in grayscale.  I tried to print on two of my other printers and they printed color very well with similar settings for these printers.  I tried to print my email address on the 8500 - it printed color very well.  I tried to print photos with photo gallery and my 8500 them printed in color as well, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with one of the cartridges in the printer color such that it will print color with other applications.

I restarted my HP8500A, and I got the same results.  I restarted my computer, the same results.  I went ahead, downloaded and installed Microsoft Update Office 2016 think there must be a problem somewhere.  It made no difference.  When I print to the 8500 with shades of gray turned off in Word and print selected in Publisher - RGB I'm still printing in grayscale.  I take the same documents and I print on my other printers (HP Photomart C5580 All in One) and HP Deskjet 1000 and the same Microsoft Office 2016 documents will be printed in colour on both printers.  I'm running out of ideas to try to correct the problem. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply.  After trying a few other things, I saw that page print test HP and the Scan doctor kept coming out in grayscale, but still the print quality diagnostics Page was in color and everything was reported as good.  I just decided when all else fails, uninstall the printer driver and then reinstalled as it was the last thing to reset.  I have restarted everything, kept my fingers crossed and all print in perfect color!  For now at least!  So, I would say that my problem is solved and if it happens again, I'll uninstall and reinstall to try to resolve that obviously some sort of glitch mounted in the driver software.

  • Microsoft Visio 2016 - PDFMaker support

I've recently updated my laptop to work with the following operating system and the applications

    • 10 of Microsoft Windows (64-bit)
      • Microsoft Office 2016
        • Outlook (2016-32 bit). validated PDFMaker the module works correctly
        • Excel (2016-32 bit). validated PDFMaker the module works correctly
        • Word (2016-32 bit). validated PDFMaker the module works correctly
        • Adobe Acrobat DC (AKA: Acrobat XII)
      • 32-bit Microsoft Visio 2016
        • Does not work; I seek support for hours, and the difficulty of recording offered for 2013 office no longer works.

What I'm trying to understand, is that it resembles the list of compatibility provided by Adobe (see link below) shows that Adobe Acrobat DC supports Visio 2016? But since then I saw Adobe application of feedback from people about whether if they want 2016 Office supported for PDFMaker so I'm really confused, as if the PDFMaker add-in works on applications listed above, but simply not on Visio 2016 32-bit all or is there some other password question.

    Questions

    1. Is Adobe Acrobat DC, taken in charge the of PDFMaker Microsoft Visio 2016 32-bit module?
      1. If it supports Visio 2016 64 bit and not 32-that would be the right information?
      2. If it's NOT; is there a roadmap when it will be supported?

  • I still use the Microsoft Office for Mac 2008. I want to upgrade. Can I switch to Office for Mac 2011 (still available? or do I have to get Office for Mac 2016?)

"I'm still using Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 Home & Student Edition). I want to upgrade. Can I switch to Office for Mac 2011 (still available?) or do I have to get Office for Mac 2016? I use WORD and have a large number of documents created in my genealogy.

Office 2011 always works, even with El Capitan. If you go to the office 2016, then you can only buy the annual subscription $ 99.00 / year. Office 2011 can be found for $139.00.

If you do not require 100% compatibility, you can use the Free Officefree software.

For my Office 2016 applications on the latest version of Mac OS X (10.11.4) through my subscription to Office 365, I encounter the error, 'Microsoft Error Reporting close unexpectedly,' launching applications in normal mode.  I can, however, open Office applications in safe mode.  I have completely removed, re-installed, re-authorized and re-update of the office suite.  While in safe mode, I have disabled the Microsoft error report request (PRM 2.2.9) using the preferences pane.  (This application is located in/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MERP2.0).  I'm running on an iMac of mid-2011.

  • Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Setup has stopped working...

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron E1505 with Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium operating system on it.  I have all the updates/service Pack installed on it and I'm updating.  I use Microsoft Security Essentials for my anti-virus program, windows firewall for my firewall and windows defender as my software anti spy.  A few days ago I reinstalled Vista to do a clean install in order to restore my computer to its factory settings or the State.  I did this cause I wasn't able to get office 2007 installed or working properly, there are several problems I encountered.  So I reinstalled Vista and my computer works great now so I've updated everything that I could and then I tried to install Office 2007 on it with my installation CD and it comes up with the validation code and I type in and it works and it starts installing Office but at the beginning of the installation, it closes and a little window appears 'Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 setup has stopped working' and It must be closed.  so I am not able to do anything with it at all.  is there something I can do?  would it be a bad CD? I don't understand.  I was able to get a new cd and just use my old product code to validate?  Help, please!

I tried a few random things like get rid of AVG Free and adding to the security suite from microsoft, and by installing a high date, that I had to use the seven update analysis tool.  After I rebooted then am Office to install perfectly and all updates worked too.

  • Microsoft Office Edition 2003 Setup: Error 1311

I am trying to reinstall Microsoft Office Student and teacher edition 2003 after a complete, non-destructive recovery on my PC.  I run on Windows XP.  I'm getting "Error 1311, file not found Source: E:\ etc..." Check that the file exists and that you can access. I don't have any idea what to do.  I tried to search for the file and came up with "No Results".  I don't know what to do with the results, if I came with any anyway. The installation process has stopped and I am at a loss.

  • Microsoft Office 365

Hello im in high school in New York City, I got my first MacBook Pro and I'll buy Microsoft Office 365 (2016), should I delete OneNote when I get it? Is it possible to remove OneNote? (I use the system Note from Apple) is at - it an option to turn off the WORD of record to Microsoft cloud? theres an option to make only record on my Mac? and I need Powerpoint and excel? I need it for my future classes?

    < published by host >

Office 365 is a subscription - that is to say, you pay monthly or annually. Microsoft Office for Mac 2016 is available as a one-time purchase or a subscription to Office 365. See below for more information: https://products.office.com/en-us/buy/compare-microsoft-office-products?tab=omac

You can remove a Note, if you want or just leave it installed and do not use it. It occupies about 860 MB of available space.

You have no need to save Word files or anything else to iCloud (or drive than Microsoft) If you do not want.

Office comes with PowerPoint and Excel. You may or may not need or the other, but they are equipped with Office.

  • Microsoft Office to replace iMac does not

I got the transfer for the Apple store software and data from 2007 iMac (the one I'm using to write this) and iMac new 2016. The software includes Microsoft Office for Mac (a package of "Family" that could be used by up to 5 users).  After the transfer, the desktop software does not work on 2016 without "Product Key", which was printed on the box of original purchase (in an Apple store) and I do not have. I contacted Microsoft that says that they have a product key because it was purchased at Apple, so I contacted Apple and they said I need to contact Microsoft. How can I get Office working on the new iMac 2016? Are my only purchase the software again to spare, or the 360 desktop product solutions? Thank you.
