• Captivate 8 Drag and Drop several legends of text for your comments

  I am creating an interaction with an element with which the learner can drag for four different images representing the different categories of data classification.  The idea of the interaction is for the learner to discover each of the four different categories, by trial and error.    I want them to provide comments through text captions that the answer is right or wrong, but each piece of comments will be different and the user should be able to drag the item several times until they found the right answer.  I can't fwork how to do this.

  I just upgraded to Captivate 8 week last, after having previously used Captivate 5.   Therefore, I've never used the installation drag - d├⌐poser and I don't know if he's going to do what I'm trying to achieve or if it's something I could achieve with shares advanced instead, or if it is not possible to do. I tried searching for similar topics, but either did not understand the answer or scenarios seemed different.  I don't really know where everything is still 8 Captivate, and while I have used certain actions in Captivate 5 tip, I'm not that comfortable with them, so simple is good.  The interaction doesn't have to be reported on.

  Is anyone able to help me please?

  According to my understanding, you have a source element that can drag and drop on 4 different targets (different images). For every drop of a sort of legend should appear on stage the feedback to the corresponding user from the target source. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

  This can be achieved with Drag and drop interaction.

  1. Insert the source 4times and overlap each other (since you can drag and drop 1 number 4 times, you must have this element to work as a source of slippage 4 up to 4 items).

  2. make the 4 elements as drag source and group them into a single type. (With the help of add option)

  3. you have your 4 images on stage and Mark as targets of drag.

  4. Insert the rear power legends and put them near their targets. Disable their 'Visible output' flag on Bill pro forma.

  5. now match the Correct ANS on stage.i.e of one of the source type to a target correct years.

  6. Select each target and open their box "Actions of the object". (from Panel drag / move)

  7. uncheck the ' accept all the ' option and the value of count 1. Add the action of 'travel' to show their legends of Feedback now under Drag source Type. (which were hidden). This should be through "Advanced Actions.

  8. now after for each target open the dialog box 'Good years' drag and drop the Panel. (it will be under options and so visible from the source or target is selected)

  9. here under the table, you can see that the value of count is 4. This is to reduce the value to 1. (double-click to change)

  Interaction is now ready. Please don't answer if that's what you wanted to achieve and if you do all the steps above.

  what I try to do is animate the text on different slides in a slide show, where each slide has different effects and text. If I can't do that, what anyone has any ideas?

  There are several answers to various parts in your question:

  -You can place the edge entertainment in compositions (not in slideshow);

  -Scroll of parts or of the effects of scrolling in a Composition are more difficult;

  (- let slide shows meet your roll is a characteristic third effects Panel).

  The only problem, I expect, is to know how to display 100% width ?

  Slideshows can be presented to the width of the browser, but not of Compositions ...

  And it would be less convenient build all in an animation.

  Of course! You can use a BER or interaction text scrolling (easier for the longest text), both have an associated variable (you must set for interaction).

  On other slides, you need to insert the variable, using the X button in the text (shape or legend) container properties panel. You must be in mode to see the text-editing button. I do not post a screenshot, because you don't mention what version you use, and its location is different in CP8 from previous versions.

• Two actions of entry of text into a slide

  Hello. I am creating an interactive course software online. The software, to clear the screen to press ESC twice. I'm having a hard time recreating this specific action. I can't add two text input boxes on a slide. I tried to put a box to enter text in a slide and then another slide right after, but it does not work quite quickly. If someone is told to press ESC twice, they usually do so quickly enough. Back to back slides are not fast enough. The text input box (where I create keyboard shortcut) only allows you to have a key (unless the others are CTRL, ALT, or SHIFT) is out of the question. If I put two in a slide, they kind of cancel each other out. I created an and define its action to CONTINUE and then the second to GO TO NEXT PAGE, but it does not work due to timing.

  Hello

  What I noticed with click boxes, and text entry areas in Captivate, is that they always check for 'Success' and 'failure '. You know when you go to the properties of the text entry box and go to the tab options, how there is Success\Failure\Hint legend checkboxes at the bottom? Well, even if they are unchecked, Captivate still call these functions regardless of whether or not they are checked. In turn, this causes your gal. If you are looking for a control that will allow the ESC key to be pressed twice, I recommend this creation in Flash and then use variables in Captivate to do what you want.

  I have to do a slide that has multiple selections of text on a slide, but using advanced actions to change each Cap. text... for example...

  A cursor with the image for the user to click, when you click on a text caption appears, and in this caption text is a chip-shaped button that says 'Next' when that is clicked then another text Cap comes up with another button which also then said, then when that is clicked on and the cap of the final text is reached says the button then close. User can click on that and returns to the slide of the same hand.

  Was then I intended to do this was advanced use actions is the right approach? (or shared)...

  In addition, if the fact this way, it will affect scorm...?

  I don't see the connection between your question and SCORM? These buttons are rated?

  If they are a few buttons to display the new text, which is not a score for each button, I would not use that many 'Next' buttons but keep the same button and uses a counter. The content of the text caption could be a variable for which you are editing content after each click. Counter should be used to check if the close button must appear and the next button hidden.   No response yet on shared or advanced actions, it depends on which version you use, answers on the score and more questions.

• Additional text in the slide Notes

  After that we publish a file present, the output displays additional text in the slide notes (e.g. PROJECT ONLY - Version 1.0 - last updated September 2, 2010...).  This text does not appear in the Notes slide from the original file.  I'm trying to determine if there is a framework for managing versions of Powerpoint or presenter that is causing this behavior.  I was not always able to understand.  I'm working on an operating system XP with Office 2010 installed. I use v.7.0.5 Presenter.  I tried to run the 7.0.6 patch update, but I get a message that it is not a valid Win32 application.  I don't know if these 2 problems are associated with the same cause.

  Does anyone know how to solve this problem of Notes slide?

  In Powerpoint - go to the INSERT tab, and then select header and footer, you will see the notes you cite are appearing.

• How could hide several areas of text caption on multiple slides at the same time?

  I have a simulation of flash card whereupon entering the slide, you see a text box. When you click a button, the detailed answer is given below.

  I initially put in place of the slides so that the first text box is visible and the second one (the answer) is invisible, with press button giving a command to "show" the second hidden text box.

  The problem is that if a user starts again from the beginning, the responses are already showing.

  I want the slides of "reset" from the beginning so that they behave in the same way they did the first time.

  I tried the following:

  1. in the title of the 'Actions' dialog for the slide, I changed the action appropriate 'input' to hide the text box. The problem is that it sometimes takes a while to do, and you can see the answer for the blink of an eye. Not good.

  2. then, I tried an advanced action that set all the slides to hide the text box, but it only worked to the one being programmed.

  I am using Captivate v5.5.

  Any ideas or tips to solve this problem?

  Two ideas:

  • Place a box of highest point on the upper guide layer so that it covers the areas of text for the first second or so of the slide, and then use your advanced Actions.  This means that the initial presence of flash boxes does not see because sometimes located under the highlight box.
  • Postpone your text boxes by half a second or more on the timeline.  Then during the advanced Actions work that should be hidden, the object has not yet appeared. Again not Flash.

• Convert several notes to text

  Go to Audio > speech management and click on the generate Audio button.  This will generate the TTS for all the slides in your project where you have checked the box next to a line of remark slip turned it into TTS.

  I created an entry text box 1 (user not validated).

  When the user has entered his name by pressing [Tab] should bring them to the next scene.

  On the following stage, I would like to support what the user has entered in TEB 1 and considered TEB 2 active to enter the next free information registration no validation.

  Each TEB has an associated variable, it is even created for you with the same ID (tag) as the BER itself (which I don't like).

  You can insert the value of this variable on the next slide in a text caption (or form, drawn object) by using the small X in the Format of the text caption properties panel accordion (or shape).

  I created a screen shot, but again the forum does not allow me to insert it. For several days, I have the same problem.

  I want to create a slideshow of my holiday photos.  I want to put a text box with the name of the place of the slide.  This means that different sidebars for different slides.  I just can't understand how I can handle this.  If I put a text box as it seems on al the slides.  If one just select several photos of the entire loading and adds text, it is still shown on all the photos in the slide show.

  Anyone know what I can do? Thanks for the help

  You must assign the text to different images in the metadata fields (caption, title,...) of the images themselves (best done in the library module). Then, add a text box in your slide show, do not use "Custom Text", but the metadata field you entered the information. You can even use the text template editor (by choosing "change... ") to select different metadata fields as those presented in the list.
