• Change of banner advertising on several pages in one place

  Hello
  
  I set up a site that may have hundreds of pages, which are configured in the same way. At the top of each of these pages, I want to do a < div > that contains a standard header banner adspace. I don't want to have to edit each of these pages to change the ad. How to configure it in HTML so that I may edit a single file and to influence the content of the ads in all these pages at a time?
  
  Better yet, how would I set up if a third party ads service could easily change the ads?
  
  I am familiar with the use of XML files as data, but it is an XML application or should I consider PHP for something so simple?

  Please, do not change your messages. You are posting to this forum and I am

  To answer your modified message, I would say that to consider a data-driven page
  instead of using an include server-side. For a third party to use the SSI directives, they
  (could use a) change the HTML code in the file include and b) have FTP access
  on the site. These two are pretty scary things...

• Can not scan several pages of Dell 964 Photo Scanner

  I have just upgraded to a new computer (Dell Precision 6300) using Vista and I am trying to scan several pages of my old Photo Dell 964 printer, which has a built-in scanner. My printer search the list of applications of scanning of my computer and do not find anything. I can't use Windows Fax and Scanner program to scan several pages - only one page by scanning. I tried to save as a TIFF file as well.

• cannot return back or forward more than one page at a time, what happened to the little arrow that would allow you to go back several pages at a time.

  Some Web sites disable the back button. older versions of firefox, I could hit the little arrow to the right of the forward button and it would display several pages back, so I could choose which one to go backward or forward to. now I'm going back as much as a person with a disability page and cannot go further. It's really annoying to lose a feature that I used all the time

• Leave the printer HP photosmart C5280 All in one printer, Windows XP, to printing several pages

  Very well.  You will need make the document a two page document.  Just copy what you have on the first page and paste it on the second page.  This should make everything feel right.  You must have the number of pages to print on one page in the document before it will print.

• Why is there no option to return several pages when you browse a Web site? It's boring thet there is no option with the previous/next button one page.

  If you use a word processor like Word program, you can usually zoom out to view several pages at a time.

  If you're talking about multiple windows such as the pages of the web browser, you can resize manually, or you can right click on the taskbar (it is easier to right-click on the clock) and use the available options to organize windows all at once.

The scenario that I think is around the creation of the navigation and any coherent content, then duplicate it on several pages in a project. It would save significantly the time it takes to create multiple screens and allow more consistent designs.

  Hi Chris,

  You cannot copy - paste, but you can duplicate an entire document. On the iPad, it works like this:

  * In the Organizer view (where you can see all your projects), tap on the project from which you want to delete a document
  * Then press the selection icon (...)
  * In the context menu, choose Edit the project. At this point, the icon will change to a check mark and each canvas will now have a Burger (a square with three lines) inside icon
  * Press on the document you want to duplicate (it will be highlighted in purple with a check mark in the Center)
  * As soon as you see that, press the duplicate icon (two places with a +) in the top NAV.
  * When you are finished, click the check mark in the toolbar to exit this menu.

• Use Illustrator for several page document?

  I'm usually the FrameMaker and, to some extent, areas of InDesign, but a potential client asked me to work on a document for them.

  They are doing a reference guide fast (I guess a single sheet folded into six panels, or multiple sheets folded and stapled into a booklet) and plan to do in Illustrator.

  I've done these before in InDesign, but wanted to know if there is some capacity in Illustrator to make the document there, for one of the above formats.

  Yes!

  To do this, you use the functionality of the artboard in Illustrator. When you create a new document, specify the number of workplans (aka pages) you need and the amount of space between, etc. Once you have your document updated in place, to zoom out and see all the work plans outlined in the grid you specified. If you don't see it, make sure that "show the work plans" is checked in the view menu.

  You will not be able to create a master page, as you can in India, but you can stick to the same place on all work plans - I think that the command (mac) is command + shift + option + V. Cut you the original (command + x) item and then paste it in place on all pages.

  Interesting information:

  • If you open the palette of the artboard, you can name the work plans. When you export, say described SPE, you can choose 'use work plans' and you will get a separate eps file for each WITH THE NAME of the palette of the graphic board work plan, plus a file with all the plans of working together. Record in PDF format made a several page PDF as you would expect. You can choose out of a work plan.
  • Also, with the artboard open palette, you can double-click on a name of the artboard and Illustrator will pass to the artboard in format full screen. Very convenient when you have a lot of work plans.
  • You can change the layout of your work plans by clicking in the upper right of the palette of the artboard and choosing reorganize work plans (or something close to that). Make sure that everything is unlocked, otherwise they move with the new drink.
  • And finally, you can change the size of a work plan using the work plan of the tool palette tool or by double-clicking the artboard icon in the palette, which will bring up a dialog box...

  I'm a fan of InDesign, I feel your pain. One of my clients is a manufacturer of items sold at retail for which we design and prepare for the printing of many packages/donor cards, etc. Before the existence of the function of work plan, we had a separate Illy file for each SKU. He permits to be much more organized, and you don't get hit with seven gazillion files when you open a folder. (I tried to get them to convert into India, but really, it is not set up for this type of use, so I had to learn the ins and outs of the Illustrator and have come to appreciate for many things. Unfortunately, manipulation of type is not one of them, but it is designed to make designs, not the value type).

• A single finger swipe jumps several pages
