Several screens on iMac mid-2007 with the Mavericks os

It's the back of my computer (an iMac mid-2007 of 20 ") and it is running on 10.9.5 Mavericks.

I think that the port farther to the right is a mini displayport, but I don't know because I had a mini displayport to hdmi adapter and it does not extend to the bottom of the socket and also wouldn't keep the Hdmi cable in it. I want to add my Samsung TV as a screen for my computer. Is this possible? How can I do it in this case?

Hello Peartree327,

I appreciate that you try to get your iMac to have TV as secondary display. Return to what you can do to get this working.

This port for the video on the right is going to be a Mini-DVI port. You would pair that more a DVI to HDMI Cable, you should be able to get the video to your TV. Take a look at the articles below to review the techniques and information on the cards for you help to iron out.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

They have good tools to find compatible parts for your Mac models.  The OWC took is here

    http://eShop.MacSales.com/MyOWC/

OWC tends to have the most detailed information on the Mac.  If I look to the top of the part to OWC and review specifications.  OWC offers often information based on the Mac-specific tests.  If Crucial offer something similar for a substantially lower price, buy it from Crucial.  I'm sure they have a refund is not political, if a part they say is compatible.  I bought the RAM and SSD both Crucial and OWC.  From my experience, be it high quality.

For the 2010 iMac, OWC also offers a "kit" (with the tools and support) to replace the hard drive of 3.5 inches with a 2.5-inch SSD.  Eventually, if it's a 27-inch iMac, I think that you can Add the SSD instead of replace the hard drive.  And they have self-produced how-to videos on the process, related to many of their lists of products.  OWC provides a lot of information with added value and service for Mac users.

OWC also offers kits to replace the optical drive on some Macs (including MacBooks) with an SSD (as a secondary internal drive).

  • 24-inch iMac (mid-2007). How to upgrade?

I have an iMac 24 inch (mid-2007) with Mac OS installed 10.6.8. I just installed a new HD, I have to reinstal of Mac OS X. I am to the 10.5.8 level using my cdrom. How can I upgrade?

    Thank you.

The upgrade to 10.5.8 requires using a disc; It is generally a retail DVD of Snow Leopard. It can be purchased on the Apple Online Store.

Update since 10.6.8 is possible by downloading El Capitan, or redownloading a BONE you obtained previously from the Mac App Store or by purchasing a download code for Lion or Lion of the mountains on the Apple Store online.

What you are trying to download is an update to El Capitan, which requires that El Capitan already installed.

You should find the correct Installer for El Capitan in the Apple store under the purchased tab.

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?

I use a splitter cable, and have verified meter that it is properly connected.  Also the microphone that I try to use the works when connected to a separate Recorder device, so I know who works very well.

The audio output on a 2012 port does not support the audio input.  You will need to use the USB ports for audio input.  This will require an appropriate hardware and software.

    Ciao.

Sorry for the long title.  I thought that I was actually asking.  Why can't I update my LR LR CC 5.4?  I have an iMac 27-inch running the Mavericks.  I have a lot of space on my hard drive and have 16 GB of RAM.

Long titles seem to happen a lot since the last forum updated software isn't just you!

There is no CC Lightroom. You get the latest version (currently 5.4) with creative cloud, and the CC app so right to say that your LR is up-to-date. Unlike most other Cloud creative applications and Photoshop, Lightroom is not labelled as 'CC' because it is also available separately as a product standalone perpetual license. When 5.5 (or 6.0 - or even a CC version only) is available in the future, the CC app should invite you to update, and then in the meantime, you good to go.

  • HP Director does not not with the Mavericks (10.9)

I just installed Mavericks on my iMac.  Printing with my LaserJet M1319f MFP is ok but scanning with HP Director does not work.  I repaired permissions and reset the printer.  It still does not.  Any ideas?

    Hello

HP Director is not compatible with the Mavericks, I fear that scanning is no longer supported on the latest version of OS X from 10.6:

  • better integration with the Mavericks. Still a problem with the display of the menu bar spaces when moved

Much better integration with the OSX mavericks on the latest version. Without a doubt ahead of Parallels in terms of dual display/full screen. The menu bar has been resolved, but there is a ghost menu bar that appears when you move one space (fullscreen vm) from one monitor to the other. It resembles a translucent bar on top and without words. But clicking on it shows menus as if it is supposed to be links there.

Yes, it is a known problem with the Mavericks Developer Preview; We work closely with Apple to find a solution. So far, we have seen only with the restoration of the window or when you move the window between monitors - if you leave full screen and enter again, it should work fine. If you notice any others, please let us know.

  • Compatibility to contribute with the Mavericks

I use Contribute CS3 to edit my site, but now that I've updated my iMac with OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Contribute no longer works. Can I upgrade to a version that is compatible with the MAvericks?

I use 6.5 with OS X 10.8 with some difficulty. Recently, I have recommended a customer to purchase Contribute to maintain a Web site, that we have recently rebuilt for him. It is impossible to install Contribute on its system OS X 10.9 and learned Adobe support that it was "not compatible". I have three questions:

    (1) adobe do intend to solve this problem with a free upgrade?

    (2) if so, when? (not really expect an answer this)

    (3) can anyone recommend another product?

We do business based on the available information and decisions of reasonable expectations. It is time for Adobe to step up and answer 1. If the answer is no, he needs to return the product and get a refund.
