SFFT Table Overflow

Hi I hope someone can help me with some problems with a switch that we use.  We have a SG 300-52 which is used for untagged inter vlan routing on a network of more than 100 users with and I wonder if the switch is appropriate for the task.

The log file continues to display the following messages:

2147480831 2012-Jul-06 13:14:45 % of IPFFT-W-SFFTREDYELLOW warning: IP SFFT Table Overflow, aggregated (1)

2147480831 2012-Jul-06 13:14:45 % IPFFT-W-SFFTREDYELLOW WARNING: IP SFFT Table Overflow

Even if I restart the switch messages will be begin to appear after less than a day.  Which I know is a table overflow I don't know how to solve the problem.

With regard to the performance on the new VLAN (vlan10) switch the SG300-52 is configured, because there are only a few servers, but there is no domain controller on this vlan, so the switch must manage all routing for DNS, WINS etc.  Transfer speeds are excellent, but when a user uses sometimes vlan10 in windows Explorer frequently the screen is paused for up to a minute before displaying the network according to the number of drives are mapped to the vlan (vlan1) original.  It is a problem that I'm more accustomed to occurring because of shortcuts dead so I'm surprised that it goes through the VLAN, so I'm quite willing to tell it isn't a problem to switch, but it happens on vlan10.

Initially, the idea was to have a new domain controller on the new VLAN, but due to problems with the new Server 2008 domain controller and the discovery that production used even a few old pc for you connect meant the plean is pending.

Is anyone able to shine some light on the issues I'm having?

The switch was configured using these guidelines:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk389/tk815/technologies_configuration_example09186a008019e74e.shtml

Robert, this means that small business switches are good edge for the major networks and switches of good heart to small systems. For this particular scenario, I would recommend that your main switch should be a catalyst switch then you can drop the SX300 switch access layer position.

For networks of small size (less than 100 users), SX300 switches perform quite well is not a bad switch, it is simply not designed for something bigger.

    Hi Carrick, your comments are accurate. Much of the firmware updates are not well and it was generally a best practice to factory default of the switch after the updates.

    I've always felt lost switches something after the 1.1.2.0 release as far as performance goes even with excellent features improvements that came after.

    SX500X switches are probably about the same price as a switch 3750 in some markets. Even if it was an additional amount of $500 per switch the 3750's would be a better choice as long as you can also offer contracts. SB switches are growing a lot and they are a very good product, especially at the price point. The guarantee is fabulous and the support is good.

    I don't think the SB switches are still in position to be a central switch, certainly access or switch of the light distribution, they are more than perfect in most scenarios.

    Personally if you have a choice, I would not be surprised if you backward to 1.1.2.0 and missed the switch more or observe all the warnings of performance you would disappear. Personally, he was my most favorite release.

  • There is a maximum amount of hosts for Cisco SF300?

    Hello world

    I m using a Cisco (SRW224G4P) SF300 in my network and I m using Vlan´s.

    I m a lot of loss of packet´s in the network and the users are facing in the absence of performance.

    There are altogether seven switch´s in the network, 6 SF200 Cisco as 'access' switch´s and 1 Cisco SF300 as the 'core' switch.

    It has almost 170 devices connected to the network, mainly IP cameras, other devices are the DVR´s and the NVR´s, a server a certain stand-alone.

    Thing is I m, including the loss of packet´s, and I found this alarm in the SF300:

    Some people say this switch (SF300) support´s only 100 guests and that s why I m get this alarm and lose packets.

    But I can't find the limit of host´s in the specification of the switch in any document from Cisco.

    Think you on this?

    There is a limit of 100 guests for this switch?

    Thanks in advance!

    Carlos

    Hi Calavalle, the module layer 3 can only the hardware switch 100 until it starts to change software. The switch can support up to 510 IP addresses but anything over 100 have wait performance degradation.

  • How to add a leader of overflow AND repeat an overflow table header line

    I created a dynamic PDF form that contains a table. The table overflows perfectly on the next page when enough lines is added, but I wish that both the leader and title the line table to be repeated on each page header. Is this possible?

    Of course it is. Just eliminate the margins of the HeaderRow subform.

    As for what I did, I just created as second header with everything you want to show on the headers when overflow and set the original header to appear only on the first page and the second header is displayed on the overfowned Board.

    To do this simply select the header "-> properties-> object-> paging" and you will find her understand this about page xxxx options.

  • Detection of cell oveflows table - new

    Hello

    I'm back to my old problem of this thread:

    Detect excess in cells and/or Force Wrap

    I encountered a situation where the old workaround solution no longer works in Adobe InDesign Server 2015 CC (same script works well in CS5.5). The overflow property is never real, even if there is overflow in the table cell.

    I tried to use a higher sleep timer to ensure that it is not yet a timing problem, but same 500ms did not help. I also tried searching for infinity in each cell after that line was over, always unsuccessfully. It doesn't seem to be a general problem, since in the same table, overflow detection works on cells in later lines and in other tables as well. This screenshot you can see the result on InDesign Server (left) and CS5.5:

    CS5.5 detects overflow and rotates the text, InDesign server is not in the first row, but he does in rows later. Are there other ways to detect the overflow outside the cell.overflows?

    Thank you very much

    You see a red dot in the overflow cell after you open the document with InDesign Desktop?

    Another way, maybe a little more computationally intensive, would be to get the horizontal offsets of each PointInsertion of the text in a cell. If an insertion point is in overflow, horizontal shift should return an error.

    Just an extract from test to illustrate my point:

    /*
        Test with:
        document with one story,
        one table and text in cell one that overflows
    */

    var myInsertionPoints =

        app.documents[0].
        stories[0].
        tables[0].
        cells[0].
        texts[0].
        insertionPoints.
        everyItem().getElements();

    // Loop from the end of the text:
    for(var n=myInsertionPoints.length-1;n>=0;n--)
    {
        try{
            myInsertionPoints[n].horizontalOffset;
            }catch(e){
                $.writeln(n+"\t"+e.message);
                $.writeln("ERROR: Cell overflows!");
                break
            };
    }

    EDIT: Deleted $.writeln on line 21.

  • Problem creating a new line when you use tabs regions

    I'm new on JHeadstart and ADF and use the evaluation version of JHeadstart (in JDev 11.1.1.3) to judge its effectiveness for a new application of significant size. As part of this evaluation, I created a small application (you can do this with the HR schema using say the Departments table) with a single entity and VO. I then placed some fields in several regions of element within a region by tabs on the same page and below the Group (Table, Table Overflow Style available below with separator style) on JHeadstart. Display the existing lines very well and I can view the data on separate tabs.

    However, if I try to create a line, I can fill in the data on the main area, but if I fill in the data on the first region of tabs I can not switch to the next without a mistake tab is generated.
    for example using departments - fill DepartmentId and DepartmentName on main region, learn ManagerId on first region by tabs and try to move to the second area by tabs to fill LocationId:
    Missing mandatory attributes for a line with key null of type HRModule.DepartmentsView1
    DepartmentId in HRModule.DepartmentsView1 attribute is required.
    DepartmentName in HRModule.DepartmentsView1 attribute is required.
    If you save, and then you can navigate.

    You can also prove something similar (but probably the same cause different error message) on the myJHSTutorial demo. If you go to an employee outside the regions page and try and create a new employee (using the button "+" under the label of 'Employees'), then the legs are not updated, and any attempt to change the tabs causes an error

    Could not validate a line with key oracle.jbo.Key [999] in HRModule.EmployeesView3
    Required attribute HRModule.EmployeesView3 wages.
    Wages must be between 6000 and 12000 for this work.

    The JHS Devguide does not help. Any thoughts? I can send the HR sample if you wish.

    David,

    That is right.
    The change in model will be added to the next version of JHeadstart so you don't have to make this change.

  • Hide fields

    Is there a way to hide fields in the jhs Application based on the following EL Expression definition: #{securityContext.userInRole ['roleList']}? The problem is that, if you do in pages, you need to update multiple and will be walking on it when you have the application regerate. Would be nice if you could push this check in the model.

    Of course, you can just type in this expression the form display, display in the Table or display in properties of Table Overflow.

  • Table of contents - do not enter the table header overflow

    Hey,.

    In my table of contents, I listed two styles:

    1 table of contents Title Page

    2 - the ToC table header

    I also have my table set up correctly - headers, so when a Table flows to a second page - table headers appear in this second page as it should. The tables are large - and not the way to avoid overflow. I think that the principle is called "Text Threading" - but it also works with the tables.

    In the majority of cases - the implementation works perfectly.

    HOWEVER when the table flows to a second page - TocTable header does not appear in the Table of contents regenerated.

    For example, the table of contents looks like this:

    Electric Page 6

    Machine X - Y - Z Page 6

    Electric Page 7

    Electric Page 8

    When it SHOULD look like this:

    Electric Page 6

    Machine X - Y - Z Page 6

    Electric Page 7

    Machine X - Y - Z Page 7

    Electric Page 8

    Machine X - Y - Z Page 8

    Is this possible? I have looked at all - and cannot find all the options.

    Thank you!

    Clarify: X-Y-Z Machine is the title of the table, and he appears in a header row (repetition) over a several page table? And you want each occurrence of table header appear in the table of contents and not only the first occurrence?

    I don't think it will work this way. Header lines is modified on the first page of a table: other pages just repeat the info, but it is not accessible. It would work if you put the title of table above the table (not inside) and it repeated manually at the top of the pages. It's more work, but it will get the desired result. You mentioned that it doesn't happen that often, so maybe that's a doable "workflow" for you.

    That said, most of the TOCs brings you to the first page of a chapter, section, paragraph, and table and do not repeat the entry when the chapter, section, paragraph or a table contains more than one page. If I have sought to your table of contents and wanted to see the section on electricity, I have to stop and wonder what page to go to the first. I think that eventually, I would choose the premiera.

  • the cell's overflow to find table - problem with script

    Hello

    as a translation company, we often do some DTP on Framemaker documents. Documents often contain many tables and the translated text will always enters the cells, giving overflow. I'm looking by creating a script that detects the overflow in the table cells.

    I already tested a few scripts and met today with a problem that I can't find. I started detecting overflow from the cells in a selected table, that works very well and gives an alert when an overflow is detected. This script:

    // == WORKS ON SELECTED TABLE ==
    var doc = app.ActiveDoc;
    var tbl = doc.SelectedTbl;
    var row = tbl.FirstRowInTbl;
    var cell;

    while (row.ObjectValid () === 1) {
        cell = row.FirstCellInRow;
        while (cell.ObjectValid () === 1)  {
         if (cell.Overflowed === 1) {
      alert("cell overflow Will Robinson!");
      }
            cell = cell.NextCellInRow;
        }
        row = row.NextRowInTbl;
    }
    // == END OF WORKS ON SELECTED TABLE ==

    However, I thought it would be nice to browse tables in a document and find all the cells of overflows, instead of going to table by table. If this script runs successfully in tables, lines and cells in a document:

    // === LOOPS THROUGH TABLE, NO OVERFLOW ===
    var doc = app.ActiveDoc;
    var tbl = app.ActiveDoc.FirstTblInDoc;
    var row = tbl.FirstRowInTbl;
    var cell;

    while (tbl.ObjectValid()) {
      alert ("gimme a table");
      while (row.ObjectValid () === 1) {
      cell = row.FirstCellInRow;
      while (cell.ObjectValid () === 1)  {
      alert("gimme a cell");
      cell = cell.NextCellInRow;
      }
      row = row.NextRowInTbl;
      }
    tbl = tbl.NextTblInDoc;
    }
    // === END OF LOOPS THROUGH TABLE, NO OVERFLOW ===

    When I add the block

        while (cell.ObjectValid () === 1)  {
         if (cell.Overflowed === 1) {
      alert("cell overflow Will Robinson!");

    in this script, it does not work. According to the cell. Overwhelmed A requires the table to be selected? Does anyone know how to get around this problem - by selecting the table if the object is valid before performing a loop on the lines, or by the detection cell. A swamped in the above script?

    I also - why not :) - I tried overflow under the doc.flow rather than FirstTbl, but although it detects flowes/frameworks and subcol correctly, it is not always register the overflow.

    var doc = app.ActiveDoc
    var flow = doc.FirstFlowInDoc
    var frame = flow.FirstTextFrameInFlow
    var subcol =frame.FirstSubCol

    while (flow.ObjectValid()){
                while (frame.ObjectValid()) {
                        while (subcol.ObjectValid()){
                            if (subcol.OverFlowed === 1){
                            alert("colsies"); //doesn't work!
                            }
                            subcol = subcol.NextSubCol
                            }
                    frame = frame.NextTextFrameInFlow
                    }
                flow = flow.NextFlowInDoc
       }

    I'm clearly missing something, but I can't know what? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Kind regards

    Geert

    Your code in the second script isn't quite right. Try this:

    var doc, tbl, row, cell;

    doc = app.ActiveDoc;
    tbl = doc.FirstTblInDoc;
    while (tbl.ObjectValid ()) {
        row = tbl.FirstRowInTbl;
        while (row.ObjectValid ()) {
            cell = row.FirstCellInRow;
            while (cell.ObjectValid ()) {
                if (cell.Overflowed === 1) {
                    alert ("Cell overflowed");
                }
                cell = cell.NextCellInRow;
            }
            row = row.NextRowInTbl;
        }
        tbl = tbl.NextTblInDoc;
    }

  • Overflow of Inline resize the table in JHeadstart 11

    Hello

    We just took JHeadstart 11 and create our first application in there. There are some things that we have never had to worry about (as with version 10). Most of it is to do with the control of the appearance of the tables. By default, that they appear to have made as they were wrapped retractable. We are trying to make use of the overflow of inline area, however when you view the overflow, the table is not get resized and you basically can only see a fraction of the data. Only when the table is again rendered this area does get corrected, but there again it is only corrected in so far as what is currently displayed. How to achieve this with the new version of JHeadstart without having to explicitly set the size of the table?

    Thank you very much
    Barry Samuel

    Hi Barry,.

    A new version of JHeadstart 11 (PT 2) will take place in a few weeks. One of the main features of this version will be the best stretch & layout of page elements, such as tables.

    So, my suggestion would be to wait for this version before starting to twist JHeadstart to get the layout right. In general, it's a good idea not to do any model real-customizations on a release of TP1, since models are still under heavy development.

  • Table row overflow problem

    Hello all

    I'm working on an InDesign page document multiple will have a table made up of 2 columns and lots and lots of lines.

    I want InDesign to do is continue automatically the text in each line, directly below the last row and on the next pages.

    What he does at the present time moves text to the next page if the text in this particular line is too big to fit on the bottom of the page.

    If the line contains too much text to fit across the page, the entire line simply disappears.

    I have attached a picture of the sample of what I mean. As you can see, line 2 on page 2 has too much text to fit at the bottom of page 1, then she moves on automatically. Is there a way to keep it below the line 1 and on the next page automatically?

    This is a normal behavior. Tables always manipulate the rows in the table as a single unit that remain on the same page. Must be a new line of table for her to break up if you wish.

  • overflow memory for the producer consumer

    I'm trying to save data from 4 ports to 40.96 Mhz. using a producer consumer architecture and a PCIe NI 6527 B using an external clock.

    I inherited code which works for 2 ports.  I tried to add additional ports and changed the size of the data to the DAQ.mx queue and data.  Launch the program several times, reach conflicting error messages after less than 2 seconds from the beginning:

    Error 200284: Some or all of the requested samples are not yet acquired.  [...] To make available samples more quickly, increase your sampling rate

    200361 error: Overflow memory device on board.  Due to the limitations of system and/or the bandwidth of the bus, the driver could not read the device fast enough to follow the flow of the unit.  Reduce your sampling rate.

    What is a race condition between the error messages, a problem of timing of start or something else?

    I approach, how to debug these types of problems?  How can I determine what is causing the error?  I can't single step through because I'm at the wheel of sampling with an external clock.

    Running on labview 2012 Windows XP on the machine who's 3.17 GB of ram.

    Try to reduce the size of your buffer.  In fact, simply leave the calendar DAQmx unwired.  The size of the buffer must be large enough by default.  And then also try to read less data at a time, as data instead of data 500ms 10ms.  What I suspect here, it's that the DAQmx buffer is too large and therefore must use the hard drive for part of the buffer, to slow things down a lot.

    Other notes here:

    1. do not use the time-out to stop your loop of consumer.  Your producer should send an order of a certain type to your consumption by telling it to stop.  In this case, I would use an empty array.  And then, you must release the queue after the loop of the consumer.

    2. you want a constant FALSE to Append Array/String input size of the binary file write.  This will remove the 2 I32s at the beginning of each table that you write.  Eelle are here to tell the size of the table being written.  But since you are just data flow, I doubt that you care about those.

    3. instead of the entire setup of producer/consumer, have you considered using just the DAQmx Configure Logging VI do DAQmx stream directly to a TDMS file for you?  Makes things much faster and much easier on you.
