SFTP: SSH or SSH2?
We're just starting our Eloqua deployment. Run us Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, with IIS 7.5. Windows does NOT natively SFTP. (There is an option for FTPS, but that's different).
I investigated the server applications that we can add to this feature, and many of them are marked "SSH2" only
Is this acceptable?

In case someone else is hunting for answering this question, SFTP with SSH2 is installed in Windows and tested with Eloqua. We used CoreFTP. Seems to work very well.

Discovery of switch Dell OMNM 5.3

We have two switches in the lab and try to play with OMNM however I'm unable to the discovery process. Default SNMP seems successful but telnet/ssh or ssh2 works. Any help would be much appreciated...
Depends on the type of connection I get different error.
SSHv1 (force10): closed device connection prematurely
(powerconnect) sshv1: closed java.io.ioexception.stream
SSHv2: wrong ssh credentials provided...
Telnet:failed to connect to the device...
With respect to authentication; I've added the username and password in the 'user id', 'user password' and 'enable password '.
No firewall is installed on vm 2008R2 with no UAC 5.3 OMNM. Server can ping and access to the swithces without any problem. After you can see force10 partial config below...

I registered with bc and and in the design of a campaign in Dreamweaver (dw), every time I click the "Preview / debug in browser" button, the following information appears

Business catalyst uses SSH File Transfer Protocol (sFTP). Therefore, the format of configuration of a Site should be like
- Hostname - mondomaine.fr
- -Protocol SFTP / SSH File Transfer Protocol
- Port - 22
- -User name mydomain.com / [email protected]
- -Password Your admin login password

Unable to connect with cyberduck
I would like to access my site with cyberduck, but it is impossible to connect. I tried a bunch of combination and nothing to succeed.
What I did in cyberduck:
- Hostname - mydomainname: mydomainname is studioniko.fr, but I also tried with studioniko.businesscatalyst.com
- -Protocol SFTP / SSH File Transfer Protocol
- Port - 22
- User - name mydomainname/e-mail: the same as domain name above / and email that I use to connect to businesscatalyst (but he tried both with the email used in my site)
- Password - the password I use to connect to businesscatalyst
As I've already said I have tried many other combinations but nothing works

I tried (with cyberduck) with your recommendation (worldsecuresystems.com): and the answer is always the same: Unknown host
But! I tried both with your proposal with coda2. .. and it works! (with my normal address not with worldsecuresystems)... Yes!
So he points the problem to the soft Cyberduck. I've been quiet intrigued: does not work the same settings in cyberduck... hmmm that's weird. And the response of Alex, who said he can connect with cyberduck, give me a hint. I guess Alex uses an English version and I use a french version of cyberduck. I change the preferences of Cyberduck, quit and relaunch and tried again with my settings... and this market!
So: I don't know about other languages, but the problem is related to the french version of cyberduck. The English version (change preferences) and there will be no more problem

I am trying to connect to the server of my client, but he told me that he thinks that Dreamweaver cannot connect with the security of the explicit SSL mode and that is why I get errors trying to connect. Native SSH and SFTP in LabVIEW
At the risk of re-opening a Pandora's box, there is no consideration to add native SSH and SFTP support for LabVIEW?
Using PuTTY/plink is heavy and not multiplatform.
Calling a .NET (or other) an external assembly is heavy and not multiplatform.
Labwerx SSH has a license model terrible (not to mention the extra cost).
It is the year 2015, and SSH/SFTP is ubiquitous and does not go far. These protocols must be present natively in LabVIEW.
I saw this idea on the Exchange (http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Native-SSH-and-SFTP-Support/idi-p/1141529), , but there is no movement in 5 years. I'd like to get news of NEITHER here, even in the negative. If LabVIEW does not take over SSH any time soon, it would be better to know now.
I doubt that this is likely to happen any time soon - the LabSSH Toolbox is a fairly reasonable price when compared to how long it would take to implement the feature yourself and there is nothing for you prevent its implementation yourself using the TCP/IP functions located in LabVIEW. Of course, you can use the command line to something like WinSCP / PuTTy as well.
I also found a wrapper that someone had done for an Open Source .NET SSH library called in-depth

How activate/connect with SSH?
For Beta3 release notes say is a new feature ' secure connection: you can now connect to the Tablet using Secure Shell (SSH) and download files from your application using SCP and SFTP.
The simulator of listening on port 22 (the SSH standard) or any other port for SSH connections, with or without active development mode does not have a vanilla installation.
I found the blackberry connect program in the SDK bin folder and tried this after creating a RSA2 key:

The fichier.ssh/id_rsa.pub is generated as a SSH-1 using PuttyGen key. I also tried a file SSH-2 RSA with the same results.
The fact that he said that he "succesfully authenticated" it suggests successfully connected... probably using port 443 (https) the way I guess that deploy blackberry is. However, after that he seems to say my key is not valid (not sure, I believe that), but also actively target "connection refused" (I think that... qconn is not listening on port 8000 or another).
Any who have knowledge of this area, or wild guess I can try?
OK, I am able to connect through SSH. It's a little complicated at the moment but I'll simplify and post a recipe as soon as I can.
For anyone technical enough to follow with minimal intervention:
- I generated a 4096-bit RSA key using 'ssh-keygen - b 4096' on a Linux machine, recording in the format 'test_rsa' and 'test_rsa.pub '.
- I transferred those to my Windows box.
- I called "blackberry-connect targetHost - PCMGM - devicePassword x - test_rsa.pub sshPublicKey."
This operation transfers the public key in the device by connecting through qconn (port 4455) using unknown protocols. The output looks like this:

Blackberry connect program continues to run, and as long as it is running at this point the Simulator will be listening for SSH connections on port 22.
At this point, I had to take the test_rsa (the private key) file and import it into Puttygen using Conversions-> import menu button. Save the private key, and load the key in the pageant.
Finally, normally connect using PuTTY at the address PCMGM and sign in as "devuser". This was discovered by looking in the /accounts folder using a primitive file browser application, where I found two subfolders, 1000 / and devuser.

SFTP / SCP with WinSCP error - Help Center

I try to access my ASA 5510 firewalls, using SFTP (or SCP) Protocol on port 22 WinSCP. I can authenticate (database LOCAL on the AAA rules) but so can not go further because it throws an error message to me (photo attached).
I can SSH on port 22 (PuTTY) successfully. You can also access it via the ASDM software.
All this is done within the network on an IP address that has access rights to the ASA to management.
Hope, one of you people of genius can help me solve this cheeky pest of a problem.

You try to access the file system on the ASA? If Yes, then I don't think that WinSCP is supported by the ASA because of the mechanics of the works of WinSCP. Some of your other alternatives are:
-ASDM > tools > file management
-SecuireFX > SCP
-SCP on MAC/Linux

There are two points here. When we have an FTP server:
(1) SAP download the file to the server using FTP. SAP does not support SFTP out of the box, even if the secure transfer can be configured to your SAP database.
(2) the officer of the ODI will get the file from the FTP server using SFTP. (In fact, the KMs ODI) adapter is not configured by default with SFTP. You must set the options of LKM in case you use SSH, identity file, etc..
All this is documented in the ODI - KMs for SAP guides.

I have my ODI client on windows and you have created a file on remote unix server using autonomous agent.
I need to move the file from unix server to the location of sftp. I think that this should be possible, as I am to short odisftpput tool using autonomous agent of the unix to windows server.
However the execution fails saying not able to connect to SFTP server.
I have cross checked connection sftp unix manually, that works.
Please add entries / suggestions on this subject.

When the STRICT_HOSTKEY_CHECKING is set to YES, the authentication is performed for this remote SSH host key in the file specified in the KNOWNHOSTS_FILE parameter. The Known_Hosts file contains the keys of all remote computers host that the user trusts. If this argument is missing, then the

I had to do a strengthening of security on a host computer and now I can't ssh in. I can go back to what I did, but I want to clarify what line in the sshd_config file is the cause. I'll list out what I have:
The SSH server is enabled and running under Firewall and ssh and ESXi shell is running on the host computer in the security profile
I can connect to the host via the HP Onboard Administrator, both the shell and the DCUI
I use putty and I put the 3DES encryption cipher selection policy and I tried to tell the version of the SSH 2 Protocol only, I went back with only 2 and just selection 2
I can connect to the host directly with root and with an admin account, that set up the shell and DCUI
I know that root cannot ssh in the host since PermitRootLogin is set to no, I'm getting my secondary account
I immediately receive an error "The network connection closed unexpectedly Server", so it's going to stop until I can grasp anything.
Finally, the ESXishelltimeout is 900 seconds
