FDMEE - SAP bristle cone adapter (SFTP)

Hi team,

We are trying to integrate FDMEE with SAP using the adapter to hair-cone. Read me says that we can have the FTP or Shared folder for this. My organization won't drive Shared and FTP, they only have SFTP. Can we use SFTP Setup for this integration within ODI. Please provide your valuable feedback people.

Kind regards

Mouline

Hello

There are two points here. When we have an FTP server:

(1) SAP download the file to the server using FTP. SAP does not support SFTP out of the box, even if the secure transfer can be configured to your SAP database.

(2) the officer of the ODI will get the file from the FTP server using SFTP. (In fact, the KMs ODI) adapter is not configured by default with SFTP. You must set the options of LKM in case you use SSH, identity file, etc..

All this is documented in the ODI - KMs for SAP guides.

See you soon

  • Function of FDMEE exercises against the adaptation period

We have 16 periods in merger... 12 times over a period of adaptation for the end of the quarter. So another words, July/August/September is the first quarter (beginning of the fiscal year of July)... makes 1 adaptation period in Fusion that is added to the period of September. Periods of adjustment end quarter 4 are added to the end of quarter month when we load into the planning. Planning will have still only 12 periods. That said, how the drill-through to transactional details will handle it when a drill of user in one of the end-quarter adjustment periods?

    Hello

In FDMEE, you map periods of 4 adjustment in each month of the quarter end, so for example period Adj1 > Sep

    Therefore:

-Data of Adj1 will be loaded into Ms

-Data of Ms are loaded in Ms

HP, at Pierce Ms you will see in a FDMEE extracting landing page all lines that have been loaded into Ms. These lines will include data from source periods Adj1 and seven. In the FDMEE launch page, there are columns for the period and you can also see the name of the rule to load data.

Then you can continue with the drill - through EBS by select the amount you want to drill.

    Hope that helps.

  • SAP for FDMEE at HFM

    Hi all

I used off-integration of box to integrate Oracle EBS btw to FDMEE of HFM. We now have a new source SAP System. Please indicate the steps which must be designed to extract data from SAP to FDMEE and then push to HFM.

When integrating Oracle EBS, I have unused adapters we need to have maps when integrating with SAP.

    Please notify.

Use the adapter FDMEE-SAP of Bristlecone-integration is supported for SAP ERP Financials modules: General Ledger, Profit Center, cost center, provider and client.

As you said the other adapter Bristlecone provide FDMEE - SAP BW is not suitable for your pressure

  • SAP to the requirements of the EMP

    Hello

What are the requirements for SAP to the integration of the EMP. According to my knowledge, I want these things:

    (1) FDMEE installed

    (2) SAP fdmee adapter (bristlecone pines)

    (i) is this adapter is free? or I have to pay for map fdmee SAP.

(II) I must add map SAP data management-> Configuration-> registry-> source adapter? fix?

    (3) what do I need on the side of GL SAP? SAP never seen before.

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Concerning

    Hi JanGLi,

All your doubts will be erased when you download the adapter on the site of bristlecone pines. You will get an installation/configuration file which will give you all the information you need.

The map varies with the version. I've implemented successfully on 11.1.2.3.530 FDMEE. Honestly, this type of pain if you do not follow the process correctly. But all the bugs are fixed in the new patch and Oracle has certified that this patch will be the best for the integration of SAP.

Once integrated with success (at least successfully reverse engineering) you will need create all objects like import formats, locations, mapping of data load rules etc...

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • Integration of SAP with ERPI overview

    Hello

I've done the integration of hyperion with EBS. Here are the basic steps I've done.

    1. install ERPI.

2 - has given the Apps schema and initialized.

3 - Select the general ledgers.

    4. define mappings according to EBS.

    5 create the rule.

6 import data from BSE-> hyperion.

    My questions are,

1 - How to achieve this in SAP?

2 - steps are almost the same? or different?

    3. how the participation of functional person is necessary?

    4. how knowledge of SAP is necessary?

    5. how many types of cards is there for the integration of the EPRI-SAP?

6 it is recommended by oracle?

7 - What other ways I have move given sap in hyperion? can I use informatica?

    Concerning

    What is ERPI or FDMEE?

    (1) integration SAP is documented in the FDMEE Administrator's guide and the Guide of the adapter you can download from the site of bristlecone pines

    (2) integration SAP is completely different. It has different configuration of the side steps ODI. There are also some spots on the side AS creating a user for ODI (JCo connection)

    (3) the FDMEE-SAP adapter configuration is usually performed by a technician because it requires some knowledge of ODI. A functional person would act as soon as the adapter is configured so that it can configure FDMEE with respect to any other source

    (4) generally the core SAP team will configure SAP as required for integration and you don't need really SAP kwnoledge

    5) there are 6 predefined maps (documented in the Administrator's guide). That's FDMEE, to ERPI you will need to go to the latest patch for the 6 I guess

    (6) oracle cannot recommend an adapter because it depends on what you are going to integrate. If you want NEW GL balances, then use the NEWGL adapter.

    (7) Informatica does not hyperion support > = 11.1.2.3 I guess that if you would be able to use it, but you'll have to customize adapter for Hyperion, if you have the version 11.1.2.3 +. This can be done using APIs (for example: HFM API)

If you are in the previous version you can use but I recommend not to use because it is not supported.

Another option would be to use autonomous ODI that uses the same approach as adapter FDMEE-SAP from the technical point of view. In deed the SAP-FDMEE adapter uses the KMs ODI - SAP

  • FDM adapter FTP

    Hi all

I need to configure the SAP-END-A adapter to connect the FDM and SAP systems.

Read the documentation for this card, I saw that it is necessary to configure a FTP server. This server is suitable for the SAP server or must in Server FDM?

If it must be Server FDM, does anyone know if Consultants Oracle should install when they came to install FDM, HFM and adapter?

    Hello

have you applied last patch of the FDMEE-SAP adapter?

It will create the additional flexfields in ODI for you. Otherwise, you will need to create them by running sql insert statements.

You will see them in the guide of BristleCone V4.0.

  • FDM: Cost of Maintenance associated with FDM. URGENT

We bought FDM which includes the SAP-END-A adapter. I pay an annual maintenance fee, so I have the following question:

SAP-END-A tailor has 14 fields that are based on SAP Financials (always the same fields):

    1 scenario
    2. business code
    3. description of the company code
    4. FM area
    5 year
    6. period
    7 GL account

    10 period balance
    11. in the pay period date of the year
    12 currency
    13 currency Description
    14 version

If I need to pick up more fields, I'll have to change the source code of SAP-END-A. If I do this, the guarantee of SAP-END-A adapter will continue or Oracle will review I'm changing its SAP-END-A adapter and so they would not be liable if an error occurs?

    Thank you and best regards.

    Hello

Unfortunately there is no way for you to change the source code for the adapter. The 'map' (which is written by Oracle) only transfers the file from the SAP server to the server for processing FDM. The generated "file" is written by BristleCone with updates made to the BOPI in SAP. Since both are precompiled to only the specific functions of coding there is no way to change this.

  • FDMEE: Mapping period Source Open Interface Adapter

    Hello

I want to use open interfce adapter to load the data into FDMEE (AIF_Open_Interface) from a custom SQL Source where periods are in rows and the data in the last column of the SQL table, like

Fyear account period given currency entity

    2012 1 10000 100022 USD 171778.87

    2012 1 10000 100022 USD-10343

Please suggest, how can I put these data in FDMEE?

    Thank you very much!!!

    Hello

First, there are the custom table of adapter open interface with data from sql table:

    (1) with external tools

    (2) BefImport script

    (3) amending the ODI project for open interface adapter

You can configure mappings period source to extract data for desired periods.

The three important fields in period source maps are YEAR period name and period number

    The year should be 2012

The period number should be 1

Period may be JAN (you can import this value in the table to open using any SQL function interface to get the name of the month based on the number of months you have already)

  • Extract data from budget of Ebs use native adapter in FDMEE

    Hi team,

Please tell us how can I get budget data of Ebs with native adapter. Is it possible, as we can learn real separately and budget separately and categorize. Also it stating that we are pulling real from table GL balances. Please advise has friends.

    Kind regards

    Mouline

    Hello

When you create a rule to load data, you can set the type of balance source as a filter. This can be real, Budget or load

Therefore, you may have different DLRs, a Budget and one for actual expenditures. DLRs are defined by category FDMEE, so that you can assign each of the DLR to your categories (Ex: actual and budgeted)

    Hello
I'm new to FDM and want adapters SAP config for EMP version 11.1.2.1. Questions I have now:
    1. is bristlecone adapter the only available for PMCS version 11.1.2.1 SAP adapter?
    2. why an FTP server is required to create during the implementation of adapters?
    3. is it possible to extract the data from the SAP system directly without a flat file? If so, how?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    To answer your questions:

1 n ° bristlecone pines did not have the adapter; Oracle did. Oracle relies on the components of the SAP of the bristlecone pines.
    2. This is the method of transfer of data which were available by Bristlecone/SAP.
    3. Yes. Because the SAP is a relational database, you can also use FDM SQL integration Scripts.

  • Question of XA with SAP JCA adapter

GR 10, 3 of OSB using
We have a collection of the messages from a queue JMX proxy using a connection factory active XA (the default weblogic XA connection factory). Proxy service calls a business service that is based on the SAP JCA WSDL and publishes an IDOC to the SAP System. A road to the node with quality of service defined as exactly once routing option is used to ensure a rollback in case of error on the transformation of SAP. (Also tried with a legend of service in the request pipeline to achieve the same result).

Here are the questions that we are experiencing
    1. If the SAP outbound connection on the adapter resources iwafjca is defined as the local Transaction
During the test of the console, the service works well. When the message is sent to the JMS queue, we get an error 'Transaction already exists. That sounds about right as SAP map will try to create a new transaction, which will be possible when running the console while the overall transaction is created by the JMS queue (when the Proxy receive a message from the queue active XA) SAP adapter will not be able to create a separate transaction that are not part of XA.

    2. If the SAP outbound connection on the adapter resources iwafjca is defined as the XA Transaction
Even the business service in a test directly from the console fails in this scenario. The error we get is "Not supported by the JCA adapter XA Transaction".

No idea how to map of JCA SAP call a part of the overall transaction so that messages failed can roll back to the JMS queue?

Sorry for the long description I thought it will facilitate :)

The interface provided by SAP (SAP JCO) does not support JTA transactions. There is therefore no way to map connection factory / can register in the global transaction.

    1. If the SAP outbound connection on the adapter resources iwafjca is defined as the local Transaction
During the test of the console, the service works well. When the message is sent to the JMS queue, we get an error 'Transaction already exists. Sounds correct as > SAP adapter will try to create a new transaction, which will be possible when running the console, while when the overall transaction is created by JMS queue > (when Proxy receive a message from the queue active XA) SAP adapter will not be able to create a separate transaction that are not part of XA.

This is what is called behavior and if I remember correct it is raised but closed as work as designed Bug (I still don't have a clear explanation why adapter starts a local transaction when underlying connection does not yet). Solution for this is to make QOS Best = Effort. This ensures that the local transaction required by adapter will not come into conflict with the overall transaction.

That's why if you wait adapter to participate in the global JTA, currently it is not supported.

    Thank you
