Sharing resources to projects in OSB11g

Hello

We have common resources such as Service account, Proxy Server JNDI provider, resources etc. customized in our projects should be shared between different projects. Among these resources as proxy server can be created only in setting up projects and resources as service account can be created in the project of the OSB.

I found the files in the Setup project can be used in projects. Is it possible to share resources between projects of configuration? That is to say Access Service account resident confuguration of another project of setting up project content.

I tried with project references, but not got success. And I tried to make the java standards mechanism creation Setup project pot and add this jar to other projects, seems to be that it is not possible.

Please let me know the best way to do this? Is anyway to share WSDL and XSD files too?

Thank you
Siva

This use case of sharing of resources in several area of OSB is best dealt with OER. As mentioned Anuj each area OSB should have a relationship with EPCO Configuration.

WSDL/XSD can be shared from one area of OSB to the field of OSB resources servlet using after mature risk assessment.

  • Would it be possible to have 2 shared resources, a local containing all common topics and photos for several projects and another a remote control containing all the topics and pictures for the purpose of collaboration

    Hello

I was wondering, now that I discovered the benefits of eating of the resource, if it would be possible to have 2 shared resources, a local with common themes and images for several projects and another one, remote, containing projects together, i.e. the subjects and images, for collaboration purposes.

The only local, I intend to use it for my purposes to have common points (topics & photos) update of all projects where they appear and the distance that I intend to use it with remote colleagues, who might want to make changes in the topics.

This would mean that the topics and current photos will be present in the resources, one local as one remote.

SVN is not a source control package?

I'm not sure, but RoboHelp * MAY * be able to integrate with SVN to control projects and sharing.

RoboHelp comes with RoboSource Control that could be used to provide the source code control. But if you already have a package in place, my thought is why reinvent the wheel? Simply use what is there.

  • Is an FPGA host Interface a shared resource lock?

I'm curious to know if the FPGA host Interface node is a shared resource. Which means, if I have a loop timed on a target time real LabVIEW (e.g. cRIO) who is reading and writing of the FPGA using the Interface of the host. The determinism of this loop will be concerns touched if I have other signls on the FPGA using the Interface of the host in a separate loop (a loop delay or a normal life while loop).

More tersely said, is the Interface to the FPGA host a shared resource that can cause a reversal of priority if called from two separate loops?

    Thank you.

    Hey Southern_Cross,

The Interface of the host as a whole is not a shared resource that is protected by a global lock, but calls to functions of specific host interface can acquire locks to protect shared resources. If you let me know what you call of each loop, I can let you know what kind of interactions are possible.

Priority inversion should not happen. You see something akin to the inversion of priority for you? If so, I would be interested in the details, because this is the kind of issue, we take seriously.

    Thank you

  • Set up two separate networks with access to shared resources

    Hi all

We have a two separate companies in the same building which will both need access to shared resources and the same internet connection. They must be on separate subnets cannot communicate directly with each other. The current switch is a Cisco ESW-520-48P and we are looking to buy an SG-300-20 p for the new entity moving in. Heres how we envisage the establishment:

    • ESW-520 will host network company A. workstations, servers, etc.
    • SG - 300 will be two VLANS. Vlan1 will host any business network (B) workstations, servers, etc. VLAN2 will host shared resources, such as printers.
    • The internet gateway is a system based on UNIX with 3 CARDS. 2 NETWORK cards is absorbed by ADSL connections, while the other card NETWORK LAN, linking to VLAN2 on the SG-300. We would like to define which connection ADSL to carry through according to what subnet traffic is originating.
    • The ESW-520 need access to shared resources and the internet gateway on VLAN2 on the SG-300.

This will be possible with these two switches? It would be the best way to go about this?

Appreciate any recommendations that you can provide.

    Thank you

    Tom

Hi Tom, yes the ESW can be either an access port to the vlan 2, unidentified or you can configure the trunk for the host devices on two subnets on the ESW, your choice. When the SX300 is L3 it will load the intervlan routing when you assign IP addresses for the interfaces of VLAN locally.

Default gateways will be the SX300 Lass (interface vlan).  There will always be a route established between subnets so assign each vlan an IP address.

You'll see ARP of course through the subnets of course. Not sure the DHCP acknowledgement, etc..

  • Resources shared on XP in Windows 7 but cannot view shared resources on Windows 7 XP?

Suddenly, my network has gone from wack-o!

I cannot view shared resources (disks, folders) on the 7 machine Windows XP machine, but can view shared resources on Windows 7 machine from XP machine?

    Machine error message Windows 7:
    Windows cannot access \\machine\folder
You are not allowed access to the
\\machine\folder.  Contact your network administrator to request access.

When I created the sharing folders and drives (on both XP machines and 7), the permissions for everyone.  I have the same name of user account on both computers.

    What is going on?

Your general statement "Windows 7 has problems to access shared resources on XP" is incorrect. Yes, you have problems, but I have and none of my clients, amounts of problems to access the resources on XP Windows 7 boxes boxes. If something has changed in your situation, even if you don't think he has. It is very difficult to solve network problems without being on-site, but your error message does not indicate a problem with the username/password accounts, permissions or misconfigured firewall. All I can do is give you my usual network troubleshooting steps and you suggest to go through them. Also given that the problem comes from the XP box, troubleshooting of small network of Hans-Georg Michna MVP might help.

http://winhlp.com/wxnet.htm - small troubleshooting network by Hans-Georg Michna

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You don't want to use the residential group unless you have all Windows 7 machines. If you do and you want to use the homegroup, see Windows 7 Help & Support. Otherwise, in sharing advanced:

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, turning on window file sharing and printer as the above will take care of that for you. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

XP - set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    Hi h;

Can you watch the AEM error.log and see if there's anything there?  AEM must record the problem at a certain level.  If you could provide a screenshot of the error in the log, it would be useful

Also, can you us the resource HTML file what is?  Info on the number of individual files in the resource file help (I) believe MODs has a limit number of files into a single entity of MODs.

You can get the resource from a URL (see below) file:

  • Applications with the same resources of project running in LabView

    Hello

is there a way how to force LabView running screws (apps) that share resources (screw controls etc.) as independent.

I have a project with TCP/IP networking, it is better being debugged localhost, and two applications share a reusable code that I use (report errors, typedefs), synchronization of threads

If I run both as screw, she eventually of course dysfunction, because both applications share a memory, which is supposed to be the current process.

Now I have to build these Apps with debugging turned on to solve this problem, it's a lot of your time, because every code change must be to rebuild

You have both of your applications in the same project?

If so, try to put in different projects.  LabVIEW will create spaces separate memory for them.

  • Use of Variables shared with RT-project / home-VI

    Hi all

I have a small question which is certainly easy to answer for those who have already worked with a RT - VI containing two periods loops and a user interface that is deployed on a host PC.

Q: is there an advantage to the data acquisition in the urgent loop by using a variable shared unique process (active FIFO) and then through the data on the host computer the nondeterministic loop simply through a shared network-published (new FIFO active) variable that directly passes the data on the host PC?

    Thanks in advance,

    David

    Hi Kolibri,

The advantage of having the network publishes the variables in your non-deterministic loop as opposed to the evanescent loop is that it reduces the resources needed to perform the evanescent loop.

Send the data to a different loop in the same program with unique shared variable or process with RT FIFOs requires fewer resources than to send data over the network. This allows the loop of high priority execute more deterministic way, without having to manage communication networks.

    Kind regards

  • to find instances of a variable shared a LabVIEW project

I am trying to upgrade an existing (LabVIEW 8.6.1) program with many screws dynamically called and the author has used the shared Variables for exchanging data between the screws (I used probably globals functional, but I have to work with what's here). With shared Variables, it is not possible to right click > find all instances, and you can not use Ctrl-F

Anyone know of a 'trick' or maybe a third tool (LAVA or perhaps JKI) which returns a list hence a shared Variable is read/written in a project or in the VIs in memory?

    HI Imd2,

There is already a tool to get what you want. Please see this link.

  • How to deploy Variables shared with aliases (project Variable), when some machines are offline?

    Hi all

I have a distributed application (PC + some CompactRIOs). My PC contains the variables having the aliasing enabled - they are related to the variables on the cRIOs.

Of the cRIOs is currently offline. I am deploying some changes that I made on the side PC. Unfortunately, LabVIEW refuses to deploy libraries to my PC, because it cannot connect to the cRIO-related variables.

How can I bypass this check and force my PC to update? (I don't see why it is mandatory for the cRIO be online for this :-/))

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi JKSH

In order to deploy the variable, there must be communication with the binding variable, in this case that the cRIO is not connected nor presented here is not any communication and the deployment fails.

As a work-around of what we can do is go to the library of the target to the PC while the target RT is not present by doing this, the variable will be in the computer and you can deploy the library PC. Don't forget that we might need to save the project in order to save the movement of the RT to the computer file.

    Kind regards.

  • Weird problem with shared resources in Windows XP

    Hello

I have the odd problem with 2 machines WinXPSP2. I can manage and see their actions of any another machine machine in the field. But when I try to navigate machine B for his actions or machine has the manage, that's impossible! and what makes it more weird is that I can ping machine B machine A. OK, the problem is that I need to use a shared printer on the computer B to machine A and I can't simply. Can someone help me solve this problem?
