I had this persistent problem of Shockwave Flash crash my system and causing an automatic my PC restart, as soon as I try to play flash videos (any browser, in fact). However, as long as I keep my flash to version 10.1 and not update it, it works fine. The problem is how long can I keep it like that until some future tweak of the same general Web site if flash sites that prevent work?

I want to know if there is a fix so that I can install future versions of the Shockwave Flash plugin and actually make it work so I don't have to use such an archaic version of the Flash more (gag, even if I say this, I again Flash, it's so awkward in any version, I wish websites would turn to some other standard videos already).

If anyone has an answer, please let me know. (My computer works on Windows XP with Firefox 12, either said by the way. Oh and I would love it if there was a way to get Firefox to work on the iPad, Safari is such a crude, childish browser, it has almost no Add-ons useful or features custom at all.)

I just noticed that, in the subject line of your message, you specify the ActiveX of Flash for IE version causes the same problem. I wonder if there could be a problem with your graphics card driver software. Have you checked the firmware updates?

  • With 2 Shockwave Flash Plugin... How can I remove it?

On my Add-ons, Plugins tab Manager, I have 2 Shockwave Flash plugin...
Shockwave Flash 11.9.900.117 and Shockwave Flash 8.0.22.0
I think I know why I have the another old version of Flash... That's because I recently installed Macromedia Flash 8... However, what I want, it is to remove the plugin Shockwave Flash 8.0.22.0 on Firefox without uninstalling completely from my computer... is it possible?

You can find the location (path) of all the plugins installed on the topic: plugins page.

  • Why should I firefox SHOCKWAVE FLASH plugin?

I think it may cause apple to break spinning ball. Can I remove it and avoid spinning ball? If so, how?

Flash player is a software developed by Adobe , who use many video websites, games, and other items. Flash player can cause slowness, causing many accidents and often has security problems, but use enough sites that its not really possible to avoid it. YouTube, for example, went to a new technology to play videos which is no need of flash player, but facebook always uses the flash drive for many features. So, Yes, we should probably keep it.

If you wish, you can choose which websites to allow a flash drive work on a per-site basis. Come on in "subject: addons" in the address bar, click on the 'plugins' tab and look for what is called "shockwave flash" or similar. In the drop-down next to this menu, you can choose "ask to activate. In this way, firefox will ask you before you run flash on websites, so you can use flash when you want.

  • Impossible to update Shockwave Flash plugin

I'm only updating Shockwave Flash because the plugin page says to do so; Otherwise, I have no problems. The sequence of update I'm having problems is different from those described by others:
    (1) check the updates of the plugin: Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 was highlighted as 'Vulnerable' with red UPDATE NOW.
    (2) click on update now and was prompted to download Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (no Shockwave Flash); Downloaded ran .exe install file. Closed Firefox installation, such as requested and installation is complete.
    (3) Firefox open; Active plugins and now reviews of saw that version of Flash Player is outdated and people with disabilities.
    (4) as test, played a video of youtube; Click command prompt at the top of the screen for "plugin" missing Run auto update, called for the closure of Firefox and completed the installation.
    (4) Firefox open; Checked plugins and once again saw that Shockwave Flash needed UPDATE NOW (as described in #1 above). Adobe Flash Player is not listed anywhere in the plugin list.
So now that I'm back to where I was before, I'm wondering if I'm really vulnerable because of this version of Shockwave Flash.

    Of course, some confusion.

Pablo said: 'downloaded from your link (64-bit version). »

To clarify: to determine which version is installed in Firefox, use Firefox only when you go to the Plugin Check page or the Adobe page "about". I've known a few cases in which the computer must be restarted after the installation of the new version of Flash for this new version to be recognized.

If the information immediately preceding in this answer does not work for you, you may uninstall Flash completely from your system and start with the installation of Flash again. Note, in the article below, there are 2 programs uninstall, one for 32-bit and one for 64 - bit; Download and run at the same time. Then, follow the instructions in my original answer above to reinstall and test Flash.

Sorry that you have problems with the installation of Flash, but many users on 64 - bit systems posed problems with the new installer 32 bit/64 bit combined from Adobe.

  • Shockwave Flash plugin has crashed

I get a message saying "the next plugin broke down, you want to stop it?

I feel that it is something to do with ADOBE, what to do exactly to get rid of? !!

    Hello

    ·        What is the exact error that you are experiencing?

    ·        When you encounter this error message when you try to browse any websites or in the wrong order?

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    ·        What browser do you use?

Since you mentioned the plugin Shockwave you put on the title, it could be a problem with the plugin Shockwave.

Adobe player and Shockwave player are two different elements.

I suggest you to uninstall Shockwave installed on the system and reinstall it again from the link below.

  • Shockwave Flash Plugin for Firefox 18

Where can I download the plugin standalone flash 11.6 (or 11.5) for Firefox 18.0?  I need to share with our product which is not connected to the internet.  We have distribution ENU license.  With 15 of Firefox, I used 'install_flash_player_11_plugin_64bit.exe' and 'install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe', but they are version 11.1 and get disabled by Firefox.

    Thank you

    Rick

Flash Player 11.6 is still in beta.  You must distribute the latest version of Flash Player 11.5.

We administer the product distribution of the team program.  I know that once your distribution license application form is approved, you are to send an email with links to the downloads.

If you need additional information, I am happy to forward this above the person who manages this program.

    Thank you!

When this occurs, the computer does not react with anything, and there is no way to turn and knit. Once it's "off" o whatever it is, can't do bu wait until it works again. When he started to arrive it is stayed "off" and blocked for a few minutes or a few hours, but now when it comes it stays like that for several days or even weeks.
