Should I install Win7 driver "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPd?

Toshiba offers its own Synaptics touchpad drivers. When I launch a Windows 7 update, it says there's an update "Synaptics - other hardware - Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad", released August 2013 (almost a year ago). I can not any more in detail, because when I click on 'More information', run Firefox but nothing appears.

Is it advisable to go ahead with this update?

Under optional updates in Windows is sometimes offered to the touchpad or WLAN driver.
Toshiba offer pilot tested so that I can highly recommend NOT installing this driver.

Only use drivers Toshiba support page.

  • Re: Cannot install Win7 driver display for Satellite A100-159

    Hello world

I have a problem with my old laptop satellite a100-159. I still use it as a second computer. Given that the display drivers for windows 7 are available at toshiba, I decided to update the laptop from XP to 7. After the update, I downloaded the display driver for win 7 (http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/display-20091109135931.zip)

But here's the problem: when I unzip the file, the file "tinstall.exe" does not work. It comes to the .exe file that needs to install the driver. I also had the message "this program could not have installed correctly". As of the present results, I'm looking to 1024 x 768 while the resolution is 1280 x 800.

Any suggestions for me? I know that the laptop is old, but that the correct display driver, it is rather useless.

    Jeroen

Please try to run the install using setup.exe.

  • E4310 does not recognize the DVD after installed WIN7 drive

My wife has an E4310 who was no longer necessary to his office. She knows that I like to tinker with computers and the machine seems to be a decent unit. The hard disk has been removed for commercial reasons, so I installed an SSD without any hitch. I also installed WIN7 use of the DVD player.

Now the problem. The DVD player appears and tested very well using the bios but does not appear in the disk manager in WIN7. I tried several different suggestions I have read here and nothing works. It tells me that the question is somewhere in the operating system.

Has anyone else had this problem or heard a fix?

The trick to delete upper and lower filter in the registry did not.

The program 'detect?"Dell has not helped.

I tried a few other things that I don't remember now - I've been at this for hours, this one has really confused me. All suggestions are appreciated.

    Hi AXMRDR,

    Thanks for the detailed response.

To test the built in admin account. The standard user account will be several changes in the operating system to find out the registry. Built in admin account will have its own hive. This could help isolate if the question is related or not.

In addition, restart and check mode without failure.

    Keep us updated.

  • Satellite Pro M70 - cannot install the Driver of Toshiba Power Saver

Hi, I can not install driver of toshiba power saver on my laptop because instalation crashes with error 1610: the configuration data for this product are damaged. Please contact the support staff. I tried several versions of driver of standby power. I received the latest official chipset driver... Someone knows how to fix this?

My second problem is with the battery, my laptop running on battery max 10 minutes (I have my laptop for 2 years) and I often force using battery power. Battery can lose so much capacity in 2 years even if I used for my battery once a week?

Sorry for the English and thx for answer

I think that you should not install this driver, the only saving electricity only.
What about the battery? In my opinion, it is possible. In my opinion, the duration of battery life cannot be defined so easy.
Some batteries perform well after 3 years of use, and some of them are dead after only a year.

  • [s205] How to install Win7 x 64 from scratch on a new hard drive?

    Hello

I have a little problem to solve...

I own a s205. My hard drive died. I replaced it with a new one. After that, I tried to install Win7 x 64. When installing, it created 2 small partitions. It was strange to me, I saw him for the first time. Later, I read that it is because of the UEFI.

In any case, installed all good, but after installing the drivers, I have encountered some problems. Or net card worked. I started looking for information and I know that the problem is UEFI.

My question - can someone write a guide how to install Win7 x 64 on s205 in traditional mode, so everything should work as before? Unfortunately I didn't save the DVD or any other source of images of Lenovos.

    Kind regards

    Daniel

  • L750D-14R satellite - cannot install the driver for the TouchPad Win7

    Hello

I have a problem with drivers for the touchpad. I downloaded v 15.2.11.1 Synaptics and me couldn't install them.
"Installation of Synaptics (sync TP) ranked" I've got Windows 7 x 64. I've looked everywhere but I can't find any information on this problem.

If someone knows what can go wrong and how can I fix this problem I would appriciate it.

Never had any problems with installing the touchpad driver.
I guess its not the touchpad driver problem but the problem with your system.

First, you must uninstall the old driver for the touchpad.
This can be done in the control panel-> programs & features

Clean the system using some freeware like for instance CCLeaner tools.
    Restart the laptop between procedures.

Then download driver Synaptics driver Toshiba UE page.
Alternatively, you can try to install the driver for the Synaptics driver page: http://www.synaptics.com/resources/drivers
In my case it worked and this driver has added some additional options that I would change in the Synaptics touchpad settings

  • Portege Z830: Cannot install Win7, complains about driver CD/DVD

    Hello!

I have a brand new Portege Z830 and as usual wanted to start by installing a new installation of Windows 7 x 64 (that I don't want the software provided and cannot be trusted, that it is safe in any case). I have saved all of the disk, prepared a flashdisk USB bootable with Windows Setup and it. The flashdisk OK boots, Windows wonder about my language and keyboard, and then shows a screen where I can choose between installation, repair and something else (the Recovery Console, I think).

I click on install, Windows starts the installation program aand once a first dialog box appears, it displays an error message that basically says (this is a translation of the message from my localized Windows): "a required CD/DVD drive driver is missing. If you use a driver from the floppy disk, CD, DVD, or the flashdisk, insert now. "And I can't get over this error message. The strange thing is, there is no reason for that Windows requires no additional driver, because he can read the installation flashdisk (apparently) and he can see the ultrabook SSD, too (can be verified as well in the recovery console and clicking the browse of this dialog box). So far I have tried:

    (1) four different Windows 7 images (two of them to MSDN AA, two physical, that have been used successfully to install the OS before).

    (2) switch SATA mode to AHCI Compatible.

    (3) two different flashdisks.

    (4) any combination of the boot order.

Nothing has worked. I even tried e-mailing of Toshiba, but all messages to return with 'user unknown' (understandable, I had to guess addresses since Toshiba doesn't seem to provide some official way to communicate with them - or is hiding if well I have found it). Does anyone have an idea what I can try next? I rather like the Z830 and I'd love to use it, but the ability to install my own installation of the operating system is essential for me.

    Thanks, Pepak

    > I tried e-mailing of Toshiba...
Maybe stupid question now, but have you tried to contact Microsoft too? If the BIOS is OK, and if all the USB ports work correctly, I don t think it is Toshiba related issue. Toshiba offers notebook with the original recovery image (WIN7 64-BIT HOME PREMIUM) and ability to create bootable USB stick with the recovery image that can be used when you want.

What you do now is your own installation of the OS. Toshiba has to do is to offer to all the important factors, download tools and utilities on the drivers page.

What else could you try? Try to get external USB ODD and trying to install WIN7 using Microsoft installation disc. I'm sure it will work.

Now maybe stupid question but are you using the original installation disk Microsoft Win7?

I installed Win7 on several different Toshiba laptops (old and new) and HARD drive was visible every time. I deleted existing partitions, created a new and correctly installed Win7 on it.

  • Laptop 15-AD129DS: installed Win7 on 15-AD129DS-lack of Driver: Acquisition of PC data and Signal Processing controller

I recently installed Windows 7 on my laptop HP 15-AD129DS.  In the Device Manager miss me the driver for PC Data Acquisition and Signal Processing controller.   There is also an unknown device without driver right below in the section "other devices."

I understand that this ususaly installed with drivers from the chipset.  But it didi not install in two different tests when installing Win7.  The Intel site seems to be of no assistance, or their driver utility.

Can you lead me to the correct drivers?

    Thank you in advance,

  • How to install Win7 on a new hard drive

My HARD drive is a failure by the SMART test.  I have already backed up everything and I bought an SSD to replace the HARD drive, if I use the DVD of reinstallation of Win7 which accompanies my Zino to install Win7 on my SSD?

    Thank you

    Tim

    Hi Tim,.

You can use the reinstallation disk that came the system to install Windows on the replacement hard drive. If you have created a recovery media you can use that as well to install Windows on the system.

You can check the link http://dell.to/13nXHsM for the instructions on installing Windows 7. Once Windows is installed, please check the link http://dell.to/11fzwZM for the correct order of installation of the driver.

  • I just downloaded windows 7 on my computer and now it says I do not have a card installed, network driver what should I do?

I just downloaded windows 7 on my computer and now it says I do not have a card installed, network driver what should I do?

If the computer is running XP or Vista, for example, before installing W7, it may mean that the manufacturer of the PC card or network did not have a driver for W7.

Go to the site of the original manufacture of the PC (brand/model) support and see if they make an adapter for your specific model of W7. If they do download it, to get the right version IE 32 or 64-bit as needed. If the PC manufacturer doesn't provide one, try the website of the company that makes the actual adapter and see if they do.

If you are unable to connect to the internet on this PC, you will need to download the driver on another PC and transfer it through via a USB stick or an SD card.

Is there no driver W7 made for your specific PC and its adapter, then you may need to consider buying a replacement network card and use it.

  • Impossible to install the driver OR DAQmx on Win7 x 64

I'm running Windows 7 x 64 and try to install the driver OR DAQmx 9.0.2.  However, the first time I did it, I got a partial installation.  Subsequent attempts to re - install give me the message that I need to first uninstall.  However, the program is not listed in install/uninstall programs.  I tried to run the cleaning for Vista, but it tells me that I have x 64 Windows so it does nothing.  So I'm stuck now impossible to uninstall what remaining NOR-DAQmx stuff is on my PC and cannot install again.  If you have advice on what to do, let me know.

    Thank you.

  • Should I install a printer driver 32-bit on a 64 operating system?

I have a wireless HP Officejet 6700e printer.  It is used by 2 computers.  The operating systems on the computers are as follows:

1 - HP Pavilion laptop computer using Windows 8.1, 64 bit.

2 - HP computer Pavilion laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

I noticed there are TWO 32-bit and 64-bit of the printer drivers for Windows 7 and Windows 8 and 8.1.

    I have 2 questions:

First of all, given that two computers use 64-bit operating systems, shouldn't I install the 64 bit print driver?

Second, is there an advantage to install the printer driver 32-bit on a 64-bit operating system?

    Thank you, Terry

Install the driver that corresponds to the operating system and type of bits (32-bit or 64-bit) that is installed on each PC.

Second, is there an advantage to install the printer driver 32-bit on a 64-bit operating system? There are no advantage at all. It would actually be a bad practice, unless the printer driver is compatible with both types of bit.
