  I have Windows 7 64-bit on my stock 500 GB hard drive. I have a 64 GB mSATA which I would like to do a clean install of Win7 on. Regarding the 500 gig HD, I would like to wipe and partition (it is loaded with bloatware and probably malware) but if possible, I like to keep a few photos and mp3s. I have to wipe everything, or can I just install Win7 and start-up of the SSD, then delete what I want on the other hard drive?

  I suggest at the very least, you back up your personal folder in C:\Users\Your_AccountName on a hard drive external.

  Proceed to install Windows 7 on SSD, reactivate so you keep the 500 GB attached as a slave drive and format it. You could even redirect your personal folders to it after formatting it.

  I bought an external hard drive Samsung M3 about a year (1 to). I used a lot for about 3 months on my mac and then left it stored until I need it again. I then tried to use it today and for some reason, the format converted to Windows NT (NTFS) file system. Looking at other forums, the only way to change what has been suggested is to erase and format it in NTFS for Mac. However, I have 500 GB of data on what I don't want to erase. I want to keep windows and steam (platform game) on my SSD and move almost everything on my other hard drive.  When I move everything on it works, but when I try and do a right-click and delete the programs or program filex (x 86) it says I don't have permission. So I give myself permission and ownership of the program files, but it does not work. I tried to remove anything that did not come on the computer and what I just said try again, but it still does not work.  I have tried myself giving full ownership of readers, but it still does not work. He always tells me that I need permission from myself. Is any way for me to have my computer recognizes the HHD as the primary drive, and then I can move Windows and Steam my SSD? And all that would remove? (If yes let me know if I can put the drivers I have on a flash, so they are removed). Any help or advice would be great! Thanks for reading and you're time and effort!)

  Basically, you can not, you need to uninstall the programs, then custom Setup to the location/reader of your choice, even in this case a lot of files will always be located on your windows disk.

  When you install a program many entries are written to the registry, if you try to move a program, if you can, the registry entries will be incorrect then the program will stop working.

  Oops - that's a critical piece of information missing there, whether you use a x 64 system.  You will need the x 64 version of the driver, which I have never found.

  It seems that driver (hpdj430x64glen) prints in grayscale only photos.

  I'm on windows 10 and the latest version of Itunes. I had a separate hard drive with all my music, which represents 95% of the CD, even some captured directly from vinyl. (iknow all conferences on the backup to the top and sent hard drives for repair, but not luck)

  So my Itunes library is intact, as it was stored on the drive to the OS, but every track has an exclamation point. I tried to use Itunes game and music in an attempt to restore my library, but I suspect I'm going to build it from scratch again, re - burn all my CDs

  See recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device. If you subscribe to iTunes Match your should be able to create a new library and download content to it. The old one will assume that the tracks are present, even if they cannot be found. You must avoid doing anything which could remove the reference to the track in iTunes game, that's why I suggest to do a new library.

  See also make a portable split library and backup your iTunes for Windows with SyncToy library.

  A 7200 RPM would work on this subject? It seems Web compatibility sites they show 5400 RPM more, I would like to set up my laptop for recording/mastering so music wants a fast machine, I don't really mind if it consumes more energy...

  Any thoughts?

  Of course, you can swap the HARD drive with a model more fast using 7200 RPM. But as you say, it takes a little more energy. The new HARD drive should be a little faster, especially access time should be lower.

  250 GB or 320 GB should be possible; you need a HARD drive with SATA interface.
