Should I unOPT beta versions? If so, how this defect?

The last few months, updates to Firefox beta for windows 7 come fast & furious. After each update, I have several plugins & ext is not working. I know that Firefox says it will help them as soon as POSSIBLE... but I don't know if beta is worth my time any more. Other comments please. Also how more recent non-beta my fault if I decide I want to do? Thank you.

You can uninstall the beta version and install the final version.

You can find the latest version of Firefox in all languages and for all systems operating here:

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible.

Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  • I use the Beta version. How to discern the private in the normal window window. They are the same.

I still works with Windows XP and I'm using the Beta version of Firefox 29,0. I usually use the normal browser window, but sometimes will open a private window. In the past, before moving on to the beta Version of Firefox, a small mask icon will appear in the new window, indicate that it is in private mode. Now when I open a window in private mode, nothing appears to indicate this fact. The window is identical to the normal browser window.
    (1) would be what my browser is glitching and just open a regular and not a private window?
    (2) if there is a glitch how to fix it and if not how can I ensure the browser I use IS in private mode if there is no indicator?

I'm using Linux and see the private browsing mode purple on the bar tab in a new private window, so I guess that it should always be there on Windows as well.

  • How can I downgrade / beta version of Thunderbird back to the last working version?

I installed the beta version of TB by mistake (a while ago - I don't know how I did it.) Must have clicked on something without reading. I am now on v30.0). I need to restore or upgrade to the latest version of work. I use TB every day for work (associated NON-TI) and have a large number of emails that serve as customer history/records, so I can't afford to lose the info. I need to get off the beta version as soon as possible even if, as I am not qualified to use and require stability or a normal working version. Help, please!

First of all, given that you "cannot afford to lose" your emails, sure do you backups on a daily basis, reducing the risk of losing anything. If not, you really should before you proceed, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup , just in case.

Your settings and emails are in your profile, which is separate from the program files. You can reinstall without affecting the profile. (Which I am basically a copy of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/991859 )

If after that you have saved your profile, just install the latest version of Thunderbird https://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/ or http://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/all.html (all localized versions). That I remember we can ask you something as if you really want to install a new version.

I can't use Roboform with 4.0 beta 10, so I can't use Firefox. How to get back to the beta version 9?

I think that there is a little more for it, but here's a solution that seems to work. After the installation of Roboform 7.1.7, go to: http://www.roboform.com/platforms/browsers/firefox and scroll down to a table listing the three browsers identifying the XPI file to load if it was not loaded automatically. Click the http://www.roboform.com/dist/roboform-firefox-3-4-frozen.xpilink. Firefox will ask you if you want to allow this should be installed. Let him. Finish installation, restart Firefox 4.0b10, and you'll see a Roboform 7.1.7 toolbar works. I did it on two computers, and everything seems to work.

How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

You can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • I recently installed a beta version, how to return to the non-beta updates?

About Firefox said I'm under 42.0b3 and I'm updating. However he also said that I am on the "beta update channel". I don't think I really want to use beta versions. How to get back on the channel of standard update?

    Install the normal program
    Download Firefox full installation for all languages and systemsv.41 {web link}

  • the latest beta version of hatred, it's borked a bunch of stuff, how come back beforehand?

It's total chaos on the Mavericks (OSX), the user interface is a joke, not to mention the plain broken in many ways...
No idea how to rely on the way I had it set up, if not possible, then I would go back to the previous beta version.

    Thank you.

    Update

Note that this thread is related to a user who was using 29 Firefox before its general release while it was still in development and test on the beta channel.

For now just revisit the output channel and use Firefox 28. When you take care of is NOT to delete the Firefox profile, or use all options to remove personal settings.

To proceed you will meet briefly and again the same problem and can then consider using an add-on to try to change Firefox to be better as it was

I assume that what you see is changes. There is a possibility that you have really found something that is broken but you will need to give more details, then that can be verified.

  • So who should I have installed now? the beta version or your latest version? or if it makes no difference?

I've always had the beta installed version to get the latest version, but now the version 14 is out should I abandon the beta version and install the version 14 or if it makes no difference?

    Hello

Just to add to what said Tyler, if you use Sync, you can have a release or beta version installed, but not both (in this perspective, it makes a difference).

    Please use Firefox for Android!

  • How do I disenroll from beta version update channel?

I agreed to be a 'beta version update channel' person long ago when I was rarely using Firefox.

    Now, two things have changed:
I am limited to 5G per month (upward and download).
I switch to Firefox as my default browser.

Someone told me that I have to make sure that I disenroll from all the apps that relay to the developers use information. Because it's a way I can "escape" MB out of my monthly allowance.

Please understand that I am an amateur computer user, and this may seem like a ridiculous question.

The main thing is I want to just the normal version of Firefox, version beta tester.

    Hi urbfarm.

You should be able to install the latest official version of Firefox, and it will take you away from the circuit of the beta. You can download that here:

    http://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/new/

    Hope that helps!

  • Re: followed blocker. Appears not to be available in 4.0 or that is beta version 11. Not under the options menu. How to do it?

I have 4.0 and the beta version 11. EWS releases a blocker of follow-up conversation. Firefox tells me to look under the tab options. He ' is not there. How he do to 4.0?

Click on the drop down orange Firefox menu then Options > Options, you can sail here in the Advanced tab, and then the tab "General". In the "Browsing" section you will see "Say I won't be the subject of a follow-up of Web sites", then check the box.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I check which beta version is installed?

I improved my Pro 6 and used the R4toR6_latest - beta.bin related to this page:

    https://community.NETGEAR.com/T5/using-your-ReadyNAS/upgrading-from-4-2-x-direct-to-6-3-5-Beta/TD-p/...

The upgrade went smoothly and my Pro 6 is now running 6.5.0 as seen in the page overview of the system.

    I don't see RC1 or RC2 on this page.

Since I want to run the latest beta version is there a way to check what version beta I'm on?

    Thank you

If you download the logs you'll see one you are in os_version.log

If you downloaded the image from R4toR6 earlier, it should be RC2.

  • How to make the beta version of Thunderbird.

File Hippo has decided to install the beta version of Thunderbird. I don't have the time to try to make it work on Win10x64. I have all I can do for my other programs work. I tried to re - install Thunderbird and guess what? He installed the beta all over again. I am unable to compose anything or see anything. Now, the text is too small. Hell, everything worked until it has installed. Sometimes, I wish you guys would leave it alone when it works well.

FileHippo is a random unofficial download site. They seem to be the 40.0b1 of tuberculosis as the latest version of what is known to be used instead of CT 38.2.0 when searching for Thunderbird on the site.

They have links on the page for older versions but no 38.2.0 clearing by the current from August 14.

    Thunderbird 38.2.0 is below.
