  Absolutely not. You're misinterpreting things. Activation does not happen when you simply run the installer, although later.   Hi my name is Richard Deighton.  I had CS5, Acrobat Pro and several other Adobe products installed on my laptop of inflated power-house I did all my work on (at school and at home).  Some A-hole was stolen and I lost all my software and the value of a week of programming and writing thesis!  I replaced it with a desktop with a tape backup system and a ultrabook so I will never lose my stuff again for a fool.   In any case, thanks to your download policy, I was able to retrieve my Adobe software and install it on my desktop.  But my version of Acrobat pro ultrabook just told me I have to buy the product, because the serial number is already enabled on both computers.  I wish there was a way you could track down the serial numbers of stolen goods to catch the guy. but I understand that it is impossible.

  However, I'm still stuck with a problem of obtaining a legitimate copy of my Adobe products for my ultrabook so I can work at home.  Help, please.

  Well, you can If your serial number has been a Mac. The serial numbers are specific platform (Mac/Win).

  This issue is being considered, you would be 'turn off' on one of your previous computers (as you mentioned), then install on another.

  The reason that I ask is that I have had problems in the software.  I want to uninstall everything that is not supposed to be there.

  Some lines of programs listed show information... some lines are completed.

  When you click on a line that is complete, I am allowed the usuall to uninstall, options etc.

  When you click on a line that is not complete, I'm not allowed the option uninstall.

  The Compact Edition and the full SQL Server can be installed at the same time without any problems. I saw SQL Server2005 apparently installed by a manufacturer, perhaps to support some software they have grouped in. He could have an Acer.

  I do not know what cause the problem with the uninstall option is not available. Information to fill in these fields are in the registry.

  You need two redistributable Visual C++ if you have programs that need it, which is likely. They had several updates that fits into the list programs. I have two for 2005 and six for 2008.
