    Hello

After improving the sony vaio z3 to windows 8, I'm using Vaio control center and the vaio care software to access an option that I got when running windows 7: the possibility of having the dough load at 50% when it is connected to an electrical outlet.  I can't find this option.  What should I do?

I did a clean install. I uninstalled Vaio Control Center and installed the driver 'Sony shared library. I then reinstalled the Vaio Control Center software, and it has all the options. I am now very happy with the upgrade process.

Since I've upgraded to Windows 8, my screen on my Sony notebook is very low. I went on the Sony website, and he recommended that I have not upgraded to Windows 8. Too late! What should I do to fix this?  I have a Sony Vaio VPCS111FM. Thank you!

    Good morning Sonu,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to know that you are facing problems with the Sun computer screens after upgrade to Windows 8

I imagine how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected.

We will try the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Enable adaptive brightness and see if brightness improves:

    1. press Windows + X key together on the keyboard button.
    2. Select Control Panel.
    3. click on power under Control Panel Options.
    4. Select the settings of under balanced plan.
    5. click on change advanced power settings.
    6 expand the view.
    7. turn on the Enable Adaptive brightness.

If this method does not improve the brightness of the screen, turn off Adaptive brightness allow once again.

Method 2: If you still face the question, I suggest to download graphics drivers on the manufacturer's Web site and follow the link below and install the drivers of graphics card in compatibility mode.

  • Qosmio X 500-10T: what setting should I change after upgrade SSD?

    Hello community,

I'll upgrade my Qosmio X 500-10T (currently with two 512 GB drive HARD, although only has data on it) with a Samsung 840 series 256 GB 2.5 in SATA SSD Pro and then perform a new installation of Windows 8.

My question: what settings should I change once the switching plate?

I think there may be some settings in the BIOS that may need to be changed.

Also, it is recommended to remove the second HDD due to possible performance issues along the SSD?

Are the drivers on the windows-compatible laptop computer support page 8?

P.S. I read on UEFI, is there a way to update/upgrade existing in UEFI BIOS?

I know it's a lot of questions, but any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

    > My question: what settings should I change once the switching plate?
    > I think there may be some settings in the BIOS that may need to be changed.

Usually, you do not need to change anything in the BIOS.

    > Also, it is recommended to remove the second HDD due to possible performance issues along the SSD?

You may notice poor performance while moving or copying data from the SSD hard drive or SSD HARD drive.
but to think that you can keep the HARD drive in the 2nd Bay for other files.

    > Are the drivers on the windows-compatible laptop computer support page 8?
Do you think that some drivers Win 8 there?
    If so, they are...
otherwise, you can try some Win 7 drivers in the frame to win 8

    > . I read on UEFI, is there a way to update/upgrade existing in UEFI BIOS?
If you're going to see an update of the BIOS for the Qosmio X 500 with a serial number 6. XX or later version, then it would be a version of BIOS released to win 8 too

  • What should I do before upgrading 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?

As much as I like the snow leopard, it really is time to move my iMac 2010 on a more modern operating system.  I am very nervous, especially since Apple is not a disc available for purchase to upgrade to a disc.

Apart from backing up (I have Time Machine on a separate drive), is there anything else I should do before upgrading to El Capitan? Should I disconnect the Machine from the first time?

I know I'll lose the ability to use some older programs, but I can live with that.

I fixed the permissions a couple of weeks - at this point, it's just the things that appear like fixing all the time (which IIRC are things that are supposed to be that way, but see the place as a 'bad').

    Thank you.

While Time Machine is a form of backup, I strongly suggest that you make a full bootable backup on an external drive and test by starting from it before upgrade you.

In addition, as a suggestion for the future, by releasing a new OS, you can download the installer, leave when it starts to run and put aside, just in case. When El Capitan was released, Yosemite became unavailable unless you had already "bought". The same was the Mavericks and earlier versions of OS X when disks for the delivery of OS X are out of style.

  • Should my friends I upgrade by March 1 or April 1

    Hello

I have already updated to 12 c about 6 months ago.

But there are a lot of people I work with who will just upgrade to 11g (instead of 12).

They have until March 1 or April 1?

    Roger

They have until March 1 or April 1?

March 1, 2016 is the date of retirement for someone whose most recent certification is for Oracle 10 g (https://blogs.oracle.com/certification/entry/1060_07).

That said, the expression "have until the" is misleading because it implies a do-or-die time. If one of your colleagues with Oracle 10g DBA proof should take the exam 1Z0-050 June 1, 2016, it would simply mean that their 10 g certification has been idle for the period of April 1 to June 1.  Once reactivated, it would be absolutely no difference between their credentials and someone who has passed the exam 1Z0-050 on February 1, 2016.

  • How should I do to upgrade to vSphere

I know there is a lot of update and install the docs in the KB, but I want to hear what are the best real-world scenarios?

Should I move my virtual server to the Center first?

Should I do a clean install on a new server, and vmotion vsphere my VM out of my 3.5 hosts?

Can someone point out the best steps that I need to run first?

Here are the steps in the upgrade process

    1 vCenter

    2 ESX host

    3 VMware Tools.

    4. virtual material comments

Upgrading vCenter is quite simple, make sure you just as you have a good backup of your database.  If you have done any installs vCenter you should be fine.  The ESX hosts should be, in my opinion, as a regeneration of working capital.  Migrate each VM on the host to other hosts in the cluster and rebuild... Rinse and repeat.

Then, once all your ESX hosts are ESX4, you can begin the process of updating comments to VMware tools.  Finally, once the comment tools are 'OK' upgrade virtual hardware.

    I hope this helps.

  • Should what HW I upgrade?

    Hello

I have Premiere Pro CS4 and am edition of images from a Canon XHA1 and a Panasonic SD-700, the two HD even though I think the Panasonic's AVCHD and do not know what is the XHA1.  My old laptop was not to change the HD images, so I've upgraded to a new PC. It is currently running W7Pro 64 bits, but I don't think that CS4 takes advantage of 64-bit, it?  While it is much better on the new mounting configuration, the timeline playback is very jerky.  It's passable, but boring.  The source files play and are looking much better, but have moments of freezing.  Video exported from the timeline (MPEG2) plays well.  Here are my PC specs

    HP8100

Core i5 [email protected] 3.33 Ghz

    4 GB of RAM

    Intel HD integrated card

So the question is.  What should I put?  I have about 300 pounds ($490).  There is not much I can do with the processor, the RAM seems a lot, but I would be less expensive to upgrade to something like 8GB.  What I've read, video cards don't make much difference until you get up in a lot of money.  What about upgrading to a SCSI hard drive system?  I currently use the stock 500 GB drive, so it requires the upgrade anyway?

    Any help appreciated.

CS4 is optimized for a 64 bit OS, but that is to run ON it, but not to be able to use all the features and power, as it is a 32-bit program, with the limitations of the 32-bit code. CS5 is a 64-bit program, in order to take full advantage of the 64-bit operating system architecture.

With AVCHD material, the processor is the biggest bottleneck. An upgrade to an i7 - 9xx series would improve playback of said and all the H.264 footage.

With an OS 64 bits, if CS4 can not use fully more RAM, the BONES certiainly can, and then it can allocate as much RAM to PrPro. The 4 GB is just enough to run Win7 - 64. More will improve things.

Finally, the input/output becomes very important for smooth playback (even if with AVCHD/H.264, the processor is the biggest bottleneck). In addition, faster HARD drive will help here. For HD material, it may be useful to have a RAID 0 for the media. See wrong on RAID, or do not RAID.

    Good luck

  • Re: Vista Ultimate - should I not have upgraded?

I called support last night that I was unable to add memory to my PC laptop, had the correct memory etc, I asked about the upgrade to Ultimate and told me it was a good idea because Premium takes just 3g of memory.

I've improved, just phoned the helpline to ask if they are able to edit my profile here, so I can't download 64 bit updates and it told me that my machine will not work fine on ultimate, is it true?

    Thanks in advance

    Processor type: Intel® Pentium® Dual - Core Processor T2370
    Clock speed: 1.73 GHz
    Front Side Bus: 533 MHz
    level 2: 1 MB cache

    Standard system memory: 2 048 (1 024 + 1 024) MB
    maximum scalability: 2 048 MB
    technology: DDR2 RAM (667 MHz)
    Hard disk capacity: 200 GB
    Certification: S.M.A.R.T.

As your laptop is already preinstalled with a version of Vista, it is not correct, that it does not work well on your machine.
It has some features, mainly for administrators or advanced users, but it can all be disabled or just don't use them.

But, for the use of any memory that you add to your machine, you don't need ultimate. Just make sure, you use a 64-bit operating system for example the Home Premium 64-bit edition.

It could be, that you experience some incompatibilities with older hardware, but this is a rare case and I use it for almost a year and I'm really happy with it.

    Hello

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and check if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

  • What should Sony for us receiving not JB! Moderators read it!

I think that Sony will not give us JB for their reasons. I'm not in agreement, but they will not change their mind.

I don't think that release the cam and bookstores of hdmi, will solve our problem, in despite the big efforts on XDA community, but also CM and FXP, I think that Roma is still missing a lot of things, and for a normal user, it is difficult and complicated to install.

I think the main improvement of JB is the project of butter. I tried Google instant in ICS, but the truth is like Siri, most of the time. I really don't like, and if someone care about this, I would give a link to install in ICS and try it.

But the butter is nice. It is the dream of all android users. It solves the frame rate to the standard point and latency. Then some might give us some value pack that could handle our cadence based phones? The V-sync application or triple buffering, even with a low level compared JB would be enough for me.

Yes, if you use any application that count your FPS, you see it is a rollercoaster. Go to the TOP and bottom, all the time. That's the only reason why I always want to IOS. JB solve it. So if you give a reasonable fps setting, will solve most of the problems. I will not ask 60 fps as JB, but at least no less than 40, 50 fps would be nice.

    Thank you.

Sorry if my previous post was a bit off. I will pass on your request your feedback to those concerned.

  • What GTX 960 should I use to upgrade my Dell XPS 8900

I recently purchased the following Dell 8900

X 8900-3756BLK Dell XPS desktop (6th generation Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB HARD + SSD of 32 GB drive) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 with 4 GB DDR3

I would like to replace the graphics card (I flight sim a lot) with a GTX 960 4 GB of DDR5 memory card, either myself or have a computer repair place do it.

What are specific cards would be easier to install in my machine - if I get 960 GTX, I see all sorts of cards of different lengths, 1 and 2 fans, etc.

I want to buy the next card, if it must be installed easily...

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4 GB GDDR5 PCiE graphics cards GV-N960OC-4GD

A new graphics card would be difficult to install myself?   What is involved?

    Thank you

    Steve

The 8900 XPS and 8700 share the same case so if you look in this thread, you will see the cards that match and cut cards requiring a certain case.

    en.Community.Dell.com/.../19611037

I can personally attest to the MSI GTX 970 games 4 GB fits so check the size (length and height) and less it should fit without a problem.

If you can wait a few weeks or perhaps a month, the GTX 1080 seems to be a surprising card to the prize draw and power. It's going to be a little more expensive, but much more capable.

The installation is easy. search for youtube videos and you should find one.

Edit: and you can sell your GTX 745 on ebay and recoup some of the cost.
