• Show hidden files and folders option does not

  I'm trying to access a hidden folder, C:\programdata\... I can't see it in Explorer. When I go into control panel > folder options > discovers... the option box to display hidden files and folders is already selected.

  I tried to change this option to not display hidden files and folders by selecting the radio button, and then clicking on apply. Then I exit the menu display. However, when I return to the menu display the radio button beside display hidden files. That is to say it is not "saved" change.

  I changed other elements in the advanced example view menu Hide extensions of known file types, and it works very well.

  I was not able to find this problem in the forum. Of course, I have restarted my pc. I don't know when this problem was that I don't often get this hidden folder.

• I would like to know where I can find files of Windows Live 2011 in Windows 7 and how to show hidden files.

  I'm trying to save my e-mail and communications Forum on an external hard drive. Unfortunately, I can't locate the e-mail files Windows Live 2011.  When I used Vista, I had to show hidden files and then been able to locate my Windows Mail emails and messages in C: USERS\USER NAME\APPDATA\ LOCAL\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSMAIL.  Does anyone know where these files?

  I had a meeting with a virus, which had a game with my registry so that I cannot view hidden files and folders. Whenever I click on "View files and folders hodden" and then click on folder options, it is by default to "do not show hidden folders and files". I've been browsing around, find people who give advice and I have seen some changes, but it STILL keep diverting back to do not show.

  I am running Windows 7 Profesional x 64

  There are a few default values and checked in 2 subfolders in the shadow folder.

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden

  Any help from people who know a little more about the registry that I do, would be greatly apprechiated.

  Try these steps and check the result.
  Step 1: Check if the following registry value exists.
  a. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
  b. look for the following registry:
  Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
  Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
  c. click the SHOWALL folder in the left pane and check if the CheckedValue element is present in the right pane and if the value set on this is 1.
  d. If CheckedValue element is missing in the right pane, and then right-click in the empty area in the right pane, click New-> click on the DWORD (32 bit) If your computer is running 32-bit Windows, 64-bit by clicking another value.
  e. name the item that you created as CheckedValue.
  f. double-click CheckedValue element and type 1 in the value data box, and then click ok.
  g. close the registry editor and restart the computer.
  h. turn on hidden files and folders to see if it works.

  Important: Modifying the registry incorrectly will cause serious damage to the computer. Back up the registry until you make changes.

  Step 2: Online virus scanner and check the result
  a. visit the Scan of viruses online
  b. click full service scan and complete the scan.
  c. restart the computer once the analysis is complete.

  After I enabled "Show hidden files, folders and drives" in 'Advanced settings', I can't yet see in the folder but I know there is a file in this program of WinRAR folder form as pictured below where I opened the case both at the same time.

  

  Hope you can help in this case...

  It would be possible that the file is marked as a system folder (which is just a check box in properties such as the hidden check box). So in your folder options, uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" and see if it will be visible.

  Or another thing to try: remonter back a level, hold down SHIFT while you right-click the complete file and choose "Open command window here", then type DIR to see if the file is listed.

• I used "Show Hidden Files" in a folder and all my files disspeared

  Return to the folder options and use the "Restore default settings" button to change all the options back how they were, and see if it helps.

  You can also try to use the drive in another computer, if you think that the configuration of your computer could be the problem.

  I see that you have some problems with the display tab in windows Explorer. I'll help you with this problem.

  1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

  2. what security software is installed on the computer?

  3. have you made changes on the computer recently?

  Method 1.

  Start the computer in safe mode and check if that helps.

  Method 2.

  Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

  Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

  Method 3.

  I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if that helps. The SFC/SCANNOW command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  You can try to restore the computer to a date earlier and check.

• 3 clues on 3 different columns, but explain plan shows full table scan for select queries

  I have a table - used and have index - functional ind1 (upper (f_name)), index - (emp_id) ind2 ind3 (upper (l_name) functional on 3 columns diffferent - what, emp_id, l_name respectively.) Now when I check explain plans for sub queries, they all have two shows complete table for the employee of the table scan. FYI - employee table is non-parittioned.

  Can someone tell me why 3 indices are not used here?

  (1) select emp_id, upper (f_name), upper (l_name) of the employee

  (2) select upper (f_name), mp_id, upper (l_name) of the employee

  where upper (f_name) = upper (f_name)

  and emp_id = emp_id

  and upper (l_name) = upper (l_name)

  If I can push oracle (version 11) to use these indexes somewho - maybe using tips? Any help is appreciated.

• Entity model designer shows no tables when you use integrated authentication

  Here's the situation:
  -Create a database connection using integrated Windows authentication. If you then set the filters on the correct schema, and others, all your tables will be displayed in Server Explorer. (Also works with SQL Developer, so I don't know I've got permissions.)
  -Create a new entity model. Select generer generate from database, and then select this connection.
  -There are no tables/views/procedures to choose from, never.
  
  I find that if I create a different account with a normal password and connect in this way, the tables appear effectively. If I can just modify app.config for use authentication integrated, once the template is created, with the help of it works fine. But I have to change this back to update the model.
  
  Looks like a bug to me. Anyone have any ideas?

  Looks like you are running in this bug (not yet fixed):

  However, the workaround is easy enough. As you've found, using a connection of $ no - OPS to generate the .edmx file, then change the connection string in the app.config file to use OPS$ user.

• Hidden elements 9 files do not appear click on "Show hidden files".

  I have change the images and save them as being changed, but then they do not appear in the Organizer, even if 'show hidden files' is clicked.

  My problem is that my main catalog has no inside pictures, the photos are in five places. I want to move to my main catalog and it located in a suitable place

  I got the files on the C drive and that turned out be 21 700 pictures.which was quite a surprise because there was only 12700 front. Most of the new pictures is multiple duplicates, but some a recent trip, presented themselves.

  I still edit a photo to see what is happening with each version.

• Type > show hidden characters does not display hidden characters, what to do?

  When I select the Type > Show Hidden characters, the display does not change and the hidden characters remain hidden. Is there something I need to do to display additional hidden characters?

  Under display, change your Screen Mode to Normal. In all other modes, guides and other hidden characters will not appear.

• Music 'Show' hidden it reveals no Mac iTunes library but on iPhone music and currently visible downloads in the library are listed in iTunes 'Purchases hidden' - what?

  I'm maybe just confused as to how it works, but I noticed that there was an album or two in my "Hidden purchases" that were not in my library iTunes MacBook Pro, so I unhid them - now they are gone from my hidden purchases but do not show up in my library; but they do not go to my iPhone music app. What is everything?

  Also, several recent purchases, I've done from iTunes that are in my MacBook Pro iTunes library can be found simultaneously in the hidden buy - why they are supposed to be hidden if they are not hidden?

  Display, reveals your shopping list, it doesn't download again them. That you will have to do it yourself.
