Bluescreen download McAfee Total Protection
Hello
Can someone please help - I just spent 5 1/2 hours chatting with McAfee, then more with Microsoft but not just anywhere. I uninstalled and I try to reinstall McAfee Total Protection. However, when you try to download the software, I get the blue screen stop. McAfee could not solve (registry cleaning, removing all signs of McAfee). We found an error in the Event Viewer System (but that was dated after the first couple of blue screens and after that McAfee has tried to "fix" the problem. McAfee then asked me to ask Microsoft to try to resolve the problem. I get the following message is displayed:
Error code 1000008e c0000005 parameter1, 804e133a, parameter3, parameter4 00000000 acbcfb14 parameter 2.

McAfee Total Protection.
Trouble with McAfee which has been upgraded in January 2012. Real-time scanning stops with the error message. Firewall and spyware to turn off the coast. Not had this problem with older versions of McAfee Total Protection (having a laptop computer on the same version without any problems). My Windows Firewall protection and spyware built in, it never gave problems in versions of the McAfee order. A McAfee technician check my computer and the Protection McAfee 2 April 2012 and him everything would be OK, but I still have the same problem.

McAfee Total Protection is incompatible with Internet Explorer 8 and IE 9.6?
McAfee Total Protection gets systematically uninstalled and reinstalled, only to disappear from visibility on my desk in a day or two, leaving only an empty box. There is no way to scan or perform any of the functions of the program. IE 9 believed by McAfee Tech as the villain. Now, I have IE 8 and use Windows Vista Home Premium and have a network public wirelesss (that I can't change the Home Network).
VISTA Home Premium here too.
MAKE a NOTE OF THIS than SINGLE-use security program otherwise they are fighting among themselves.
The links below are for the health of your PC and they are by Auslogic and you can bring CNET, they are a kind of house ware software for PC with lots of free stuff not all good, but check out them.
These are free...
http://www.Auslogics.com/en/software/registry-cleaner/download/
http://www.Auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/download/
in any case, I would run the registry cleaner once you have turned on the PC and before installing McAfee.
Uninstall completely all McAfee and other security software you have on the machine. If you think that he is gone, try typing McAfee, Norton or any other security software that you used in the past in the window Start Menu search. If there don't just delete, click 'place to open the file' and delete it from there, once that everything went back ON. When the PC is open to the top of your browser and click HELP on the menu bar there is usually lets you know the Version of IE with the line "what's new in IE 6, 7, 8, 9 etc. Once you are sure, follow these steps.
With the disc, insert it into the machine and it should walk you through it.
Download from a web site. Do not run it download to the desktop. Once it is I did a right click and choose Run as administrator, and follow the prompts once it is installed, RESTART here I go as far as doing the reboot and then I shut him down and turn it back on.
Good luck

Windows Security Center McAfee Total Protection Plan vs.
? Is, what is the difference between the firewall that comes in the Windows Security Center and came up with my new Dell T3400 workstation and I am running a 64 bit system. I run Windows Vista business and bought McAfee total protection McAfee plan it self by phone not on the shelf? Windows Security Center that came with my OS would be everything I need and do work against the plan of complete protection of McAfee which has viruses and Spyware, firewall and browser Protection? Thank you for your time, JLB.
You can easily protect your system, without the help of McAfee.
First of all, make sure you uninstall ALL the antimalware software.
Then go to www.microsoft.com/security_essentials
Then click on languages and regional settings, and then click Download 64-bit link.
After installing Security Essentials, you will have comprehensive anti-malware protection.
You use the Windows Firewall. In Internet Explorer, you want to enable the SmartScreen filter. Security Essentials will be turn on automatic updates for you.
Just keep your OS fully updated, and you will have the excellent protection. And, from personal experience of the removal of McAfee, you will experience better performance.
Security Center is concerned with having them on that automatic updates Windows Firewall on and Anti-malware installed. You will have accomplished all this.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)
Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)
I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the

Restart after that a windows update problem with VirusScan from McAfee (total Protection)
I'm under 64-bit Windows VISTA Home Premium SP 1 on a Dell Studio 540 desktop. 8.0 GB RAM. Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 CPU @ 2 .66GHz.
Late last night, I started the PC to go online. Shortly after, I was invited by Windows update to restart. So I closed off everything and rebooted, except that I kept scheduled analysis of McAfee, which I set up for Fridays. I have McAfee Total Protection, which includes VirusScan. That the PC would shut down, there was a message on the screen of McAfee who said, essentially, stop this scan before restarting. I'm paraphrasing - I didn't write down the exact message. After reboot, I started again the background anti-virus scanning. After a few minutes, I received the following message:
Microsoft Windows
Order McAfee VirusScan Scan - Are asked to work and was closed. A problem with the application to stop functioning properly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.
I have not received a solution of Windows. I completely uninstalled McAfee Total Protection, following the instructions of McAfee, then reinstalled. Everything went very well with these processes. I have yet to receive an indication of the McAfee software that something is wrong. After the reinstallation, I tried a scan, but got the same error message as above after a few minutes. It does not occur immediately, analysis continues for about 5 minutes, then abandoned.
Chatted with Dell today. They suggested a system restore, I will try then. What updates have been installed?
During certain infections that are designed to defeat security software will cause the bomb on analyses with an error.
I also suggest you contact the McAfee Support since it is their product which blocks. http://service.McAfee.com/TechSupportHome.aspx?LC=1033&SG=TS
To view installed updates:
1. click on start > Control Panel > Classic view > Windows Update.
2. along the top, click view update history.
3. click on installed updates
4. you can sort by name, status, Type, or Date updates. You can also click on each update and select Show details to access the details of this update.

What can I use as a free alternative to replace McAfee Total Protection?
You: I am currently subscribed to McAfee Total Protection. I use Microsoft Security Essentials and Piriform CCleaner to protect and clean my computer from now on. I plan to cancel my subscription with McAfee for financial reason, unemployed and on a permanent disability. Is there a free alternative to McAfee Total Protection which is updated on a regular basis? I am running Windows XP SP3 32 bit w / IE8. Thank you for your time and any help offered. We appreciate it deeply, Jim
tcheuchter,
According to this thread, you were using MSE on February 21, 2012: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_start/mse-scanning-more-often-than-normal/02789423-dc7d-4ff1-8ee0-e0b2cd5255a1
Here it is March 2, 2012 and you recommend AVG which is fine... it is that you are your option.
Just a reminder (also indicated in this thread Jetta48) that you should not use more than one AV program providing analysis in real time, so if you are now using AVG, I hope that you have uninstalled MSE.
Kind regards...

I have Vista Home Premium, I can not install my Mcafee Total Protection 2011
I start the installation but, then minutes later it gives me a message that
the Mcafee Intergrated Security Platform Installer has stopped working.
I have been helped by Mcafee Technical Support 3 times, they couldn't solve the problem from their end, that they told me to ask microsoft. I try here first.
I have a computer desk with another version of vista and intstalled mcafee without problem, my husband has a xp operating system and that are installed without problem.
Hi, Norton would be the best forum to ask questions on their installation of the product. However, as an alternative, you could always install Microsoft Security Essentials which is free :-).

Windows 7 Ultimate incompatible with McAfee Total Protection
I recently updated my computer to Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate. Now I have problems with my anti-virus I've had on this computer for 4 years. For some reason any McAfee is not compatible with this new version of Windows 7 Ultimate. Has anyone experience this problem?
Try to uninstall and reinstall.
If the problem persists, you can use a free Antivirus/AntiSpyware utility such as Microsoft Security Essentials:

Hello
I hope someone can help me to uninstall McAffe Total Protection 2013 (central security part)? I tried to do it via the control panel (uninstall program) but I receive the following message: "Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or that" and it can not be uninstalled (I already rebooted my computer three times). I also tried to delete in the program (in the C drive) files, but I get the message: "you need give the administrator permission to delete this program" even if it's my laptop and I'm the only user on this computer (what is the administrator then...?)
I've already lost two hours trying to get rid of it and I'm now extremely frustrated...
I really hope someone can help me. (I have Windows 7)
Thank you very much
AnnaHello
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
You try this first method:
(1) open the Windows Task Manager (right click on the taskbar-> click Start the Task Manager).
2) click on show processes from all users. Then go to the process tab-> search "msiexec.exe".
(3) if it is recognized, click on finish the process-> and yet, click on end process.
(4) now, start the uninstall program.
If the above method fails, try this:
Right-click, and then click Save as:
http://download.McAfee.com/Products/Licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
Then, run the file. It will clean all facilities of McAfee in a PC.

I've never had a problem downloading mcafee befor. I uninstalled and try to reinstall. Att uverse offering mcafee for free, so I don't want to change.
It is a Windows Update error. Problems with the Windows updates? Obviously, Windows updates should not affect a download from McAfee.
If all goes well, the "clean boot" suggested by Nicolas will help you determine what the problem is.
By chance your computer is infected with malware?
This should help resolve your error if the Windows Update components simply need to be reset: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
Run the McAfee removal tool to make sure that you do not have the remains of a former McAfee interfering with the download program: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507
Were you using a different AV program? Assuming that you have uninstalled to avoid any conflict with McAfee, you run the software for this product removal tool?
Have you contacted McAfee Support? http://service.McAfee.com/ maybe AT & T support since it is their safety program? http://www.att.NET/SmartControls-InternetSecuritySuite
Kind regards...
