Side static Panel (when the rest of the page scrolls up/down)

Hello

I saw a navigation bar incredible on a Web site (http://www.fhoke.com/) which remains static when the rest of the page scrolls up and down. Does anyone know how this?

Thank you

This is done by setting the navigation element parent of the bar in a position fix.

#menubar

Of course, you design the rest of your page to leave room for

the menu.

This isn't, however, a good idea if you have a sidebar that is also great

like the one on the page that you have quoted your site, because it may be truncated

(no access) if the browser window is too short to display the

set sidebar. By a navigation bar fixed it is usually better to

go horizontal - or, if it is vertical, to go with no more than 4 or 5 links

and no other content.

Here are some examples of how we do the navigation bars fixed:

  • Static variables in the Page of the OFA

    Hello

    We have a requirement to show the popup message when changes are made in the page of the OFA. We use the static variable in the OPS page to store the initial values of some fields and whenever the popup needs to be shown, it compares the value of the static variable for the current value. If they are different then we are the message. It works perfectly fine when the page is accessed by the single user. But when several users access a single screen, it shows the message to a user even if the values are not changed by this user, but the other user has changed. My question is-

    1. do we need to use variables of session always for users multiple scenarios?
    2. How does the static variable in java? It is not unique to the session? If so, above the question shouldn't come.
    3. how to solve the problem above?

    Pointers on this would be a great help.

    I did not understand the part same page can be accessed by different users. In any OA framework Page, the same page is accessible by several users. If you think abt the same data updated at the same time, then search functionality of Version number of the object in the context of OSTEOARTHRITIS.

    All instances of the VO are unique for each session. So no need to worry about this side here.

    The values highlighted are wrong - you need to keep track of the Manager scroll position. In addition, using Display.getWidth () and Display.getHeight () isn't exactly smart - use getWidth() / getHeight() Manager itself.

    In short, the correct code would be:

        public void paintBackground( Graphics graphics)
        {
            graphics.drawBitmap(getHorizontalScroll(), getVerticalScroll(), getWidth(), getHeight(), Constants.BACKGROUND_IMAGE, 0, 0);

  • signal no disconnection when the page is closed by the gesture of eye?

    Hello

    Falling on a particular issue... First of all, I connect my context object to signal a bit of javascript using the onCreationCompleted

    onCreationCompleted:
    {
            // When the top-level Page is created, direct the data source to start
            // loading data
            MyObject.signal_1.connect(onJavaScriptFunction_1);         MyObject.signal_2.connect(onJavaScriptFunction_2);               MyObject.signal_3.connect(onJavaScriptFunction_3); }

    So far everything is going well, but if I unplug these signals, the page is busted, so the next time that the page is created, these signals will be attached to the same javascript function once more and so on for every time that the page is re-created.

    Then I thought, I should unplug these signals when the page came out... Therefore, I have given the NavigationPage because I couldn't see any signal onPopped or onDestroy... So I used the following code:

        paneProperties: NavigationPaneProperties
        {
            backButton: ActionItem
            {
                onTriggered:
                {
                    console.debug("Popping page, disconnect signals...") // Disconnect signals
                    MyObject.signal_1.disconnect(onJavaScriptFunction_1);                      MyObject.signal_2.disconnect(onJavaScriptFunction_2);                 MyObject.signal_3.disconnect(onJavaScriptFunction_3);

                    // define what happens when back button is pressed here
                    // in this case is closed the detail page
                    navigationPane.pop();
                }
            }
        }

    After testing a few creation of the page / page popping, everything works fine. Signal is attached only once. But every time I close the page by using the gesture of look, then I suddenly I begin to see multiple signals attached to my context object... as directed by the console log output:

    emit > signal_1
    onJavaScriptFunction_1()
    onJavaScriptFunction_1()
    emit > signal_2
    onJavaScriptFunction_2()
    onJavaScriptFunction_2()

    My questions

    1. Where can I sign out signals to avoid leaving the unwanted signals connection?
    2. All the QML object seems to have a signal of {onCreationCompleted}, is an onDestroyCompleted or something similar?

    Thank you

    Hello

    There is no equivalent onCreationCompleted.

    But you can set a JavaScript function such as

    Page {
      function cleanup() {
        // disconnect signals here
      }

    and call from NavigationPane onPopTransitionEnded:

    NavigationPane {
      onPopTransitionEnded: {
        page.cleanup()
        page.destroy() // destroy the page if it was created dynamically
      }

    UPD: another option is to use the element of connection of QtQuick. According to this thread, it works in Cascades:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/QML-connections-element/m-p/2063301#M9550

    Connect/disconnect signals automatically, but I haven't checked this app cascading.

  • Get the values of default table row when the page loads

    Hello

    I am running JDev 11.1.1.7. We have a page that contains two tables in a relationship of the master / detail of nickname. We can do a real master ADF / detail with view items related because the query for the 2nd table is complex and works best when queries with binding settings. The View object for the 2nd table has a request with 2 link params as it can get in the first table. Thus, when a line is selected in the first table we want to execute ExecuteWithParams on the object from view of the table 2. We do it in the Bean managed for the page in a method that is the selection to the first table listener. It works fine except when the page initially loads, the first line is selected by default. When the default value is selected the selection listener is not triggered.

    I've seen the suggestion of not having a line selected by default when the page loads by removing the value selectedRowKeys on the table. However, we do not want that the 1st row of the table secondary master to be selected by default and we as the table of detail to show the correct corresponding lines.

    Steve

    Steve,

    Not really sure when you say that the 2nd table is complex and may not use the master detail. If the settings link in the parent table, you can set the ViewLink accordingly and it should work, right?

    In any case, if you're after the execution of methods on the loading of the page, you will find the links below.

    If it's a working group, you can add a methodCall as activity by default and UTF, you can use phase listener (if listener server does not).

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Call ExecuteWithParams operations programmatically when the page is loaded. How...?

    Hallo,

    in a working group, I have a 'readonly' page that uses in many istances VO (for fields, tables,...).

    When the page is loaded, I need to call its ExecuteWithParams operation for each VO.

    I would drag / drop (cascading) the operation of each VO ExecuteWithParams in the workflow, but the problem is that I need to run logic to call.

    For example, I have some cases in which I have to exec VO, and then pass the value of a field in the returned to the VO ExecuteWithParams, another record.

    I guess I can't manage this 'declarative' in the taskflow but I use code in a managed bean.

    So far, I've added for each VO ExecuteWithParams action page links.

    I know I can use a code like this to call the ExecuteWithParams for each VO...

    OperationBinding operationBinding = BindingsUtils.getBindings().getOperationBinding("ExecuteWithParamsToCall");
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().putAll(paramsMap);
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
      return false;
      }

    ... but the problem is... where and when I call?

    I wrote in the managed bean extended view a public function initPage() tha called the ExecuteWithParams.

    How to use this function?

    I can use it during the lazy fo page load?

    Can I use it as a method call to place in the working group before the page? I have to admit that I already tried that way, but it did not work...

    In addition, after calling a VO ExecuteWithParams, as I said before, I may have the need to treat the VO after his execution to gather values for some fields (I'll pass these values to the other VO ExecuteWithParams).

    Can I access the iterator from the bean by using the iterator binding?

    Thank you very much

    Federico

    Instead, I have to create it in the the methodCall1 pageDef?

    Yes

    And if methodCall1 calls - as in my case - the function of a bean that uses the ExecuteWithParams many istances VO... I create all the necessary links in the methodCall1 pageDef?

    Yes

    And Yes... Links ExecuteWithParams that I created in the page untitled1 aren't necessary?

    Once again Yes (except if you do not have to invoke to untitled1 page)

    I have more than 2 minutes (I hope), but I did not immediately jdev

  • Validation of required field only when the page loads (HR test case!) included

    Hi experts,

    Here you have a simple test for Jdev 12.1.3 HR case: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18609389/TestHR.zip

    The main.jspx is just a button which CreateInsert a record dept displayed in another page:

    Screen Shot 10-16-14 at 07.04 PM.PNG

    My problem is the following page (test.jspx) has this code to run when the page loads:

    <af:serverListener type="onloadEvent" method="#{backingBeanScope.backinBean.onPageLoad}"/>
                <af:clientListener method="onLoadClient" type="load"/>
                <af:resource type="javascript">
                  function onLoadClient(event) {
                      AdfCustomEvent.queue(event.getSource(), "onloadEvent",
                      {
                      },
    false);
                      return true;
                  }
                </af:resource>

    The code is simply this (now):

        public void onPageLoad(ClientEvent clientEvent) {
            logger.severe("HR TEST.....");
        }

    And that's the problem, required validation is performed.

    Screen Shot 10-16-14 at 07.06 PM.PNG

    Can you tell me why?

    Thank you

    Jose.

    Don't know what is my mistake, but the code is of the actionListener button is not called. :-(

    Well, you combined two different ways to do this (from my first answer).

    If you are still reading this, you will notice "or" before the second suggestion

    Thus,.

    1. keep your clientListener under af:document tag

    2. based on javascript, you find key (use: alert ("button");)  to see if you have referenced correctly your button in findComponentById())

    And then:

    approach 1:

    Use AdfActionEvent.queue (button, true);  queue event on your action button and implement your logic in function attached to the properties of your 'actionListener' or 'action' button (if you don't need listener server in this case)

    approach 2:

    Use AdfCustomEvent.queue (button, "onloadEvent", {}, false);  the queue onloadEvent on your button (in this case you need listener server attached to your button)

    Hello

    set a listener of phase for the view (using the beforeMethod on the f: view of the page markup). In the method, then use the ExtendedRenderKit Service to call JavaScript from Java. The method must listen for the phase PREPARE_RENDER, who is the liaison for the page to exist. You can access the link from BindingContext.getCurrent () .getCurrentBindings () layer. From there, you call (AttributeBinding) bindings.get ("the binding of the attribute name") to get the attribute mandatory and then - in a next step - the inputValue with data to transmit

    Call JavaScript from Java:
